Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2612: Chapter 57: Establishing a Foundation for Success (Part 3)

”I, the aged Zamu, along with all of the Wutu Tribe, am willing to obey the orders of the Shaman. Even if it leads to death, I shall not regret.”

Mo Hua nodded in satisfaction.

He thought for a moment and then said, ”Very well, prepare yourself, tomorrow we shall embark on the expedition.”

Elder Zamu heard this and was bewildered.

Tomorrow... embark on an expedition?

...

After spending a day preparing, the next day, Elder Zamu gathered all existing combat power of the Wutu Tribe.

He was an Elder in the Foundation Establishment Early Stage.

Besides him, all were in the Qi Refinement stage.

Over twenty young barbarian cultivators with mediocre talent and insufficient cultivation levels.

These were all originally the ”defective goods” of the tribe.

After all, if they had better talent and higher cultivation, they would have been harvested like leeks by the Royal Court of the Great Wilderness and sent to the frontlines as ”cannon fodder,” leaving none remaining.

Additionally, there were about a dozen older children.

As well as some old cultivators, though frail, still relatively experienced.

All of them combined numbered around forty people.

Under the destruction of war and famine, this was truly all the ”barbarian cultivators” the Wutu Tribe could muster with any combat capability.

Little Zatu was following behind Mo Hua as a follower.

Elder Zamu, looking at all the remaining active forces of the Wutu Tribe before him and then at his little grandson, couldn’t help but ask Mo Hua:

”Shaman... do you really... intend to fight?”

Mo Hua nodded, ”Naturally, we fight.”

Elder Zamu felt uneasy in his heart.

His own old bones, if they died, so be it, but for these tribesmen before him, the death of even one would bring him pain.

Not to mention his little Zatu.

But the arrow was already nocked, there was no turning back now.

Elder Zamu sighed inwardly:

”Forget it, it’ll end in death anyway. Starvation or death in battle, the fate is tied to a single thread; let’s let this Shaman torment us. Just hope he doesn’t go back on his word, truly allowing the Wutu Tribe to continue and keeping little Zatu safe...”

Elder Zamu steeled his heart and gritted his teeth, ”Fine, then let us fight!”

Mo Hua saw his state of ready-to-face-death and was somewhat helpless, so he reassured him:

”No need to be nervous, this is just the beginning, very simple.”

And indeed, as Mo Hua said, it was very simple.

The first tribe Mo Hua targeted for conquest was the Wotai Tribe, infamous for stealing food, wealth, people, and even love.

This tribe was utterly depraved in character.

Moreover, it was the nearest, hence Mo Hua chose it as the first target.

The whole process didn’t take long.

The three Elders of the Wotai Tribe at the Foundation Establishment Early Stage emerged only to be each met by Mo Hua’s fireball, crippling one leg.

One of them was defiant, thus Mo Hua crippled the other leg as well.

Afterwards, Elder Zamu personally finished the job, ending his life.

Under such an intimidation tactic, the other two Wotai Elders immediately kowtowed, expressing submission.

The other barbarian cultivators of the Wotai Tribe also expressed submission.

Moreover, their Barbarian God didn’t protect them.

Because the ”deity” of the Wotai Tribe had already been ”eaten” by Mo Hua beforehand.

And so, the neighboring Wotai Tribe was taken by Mo Hua without any effort.

Everyone from the Wutu Tribe, including Elder Zamu, was stunned.

Especially witnessing Mo Hua, seemingly defying nature, with speed and ferocity, and remarkable power, shrouded in black evil, like the ”Fierce God’s fire,” almost in an instant, destroying the black-red fireballs of the Wotai Tribe’s three Elders, left them awestruck.

”This Shaman is truly this powerful?”

”With such youthful appearance yet such formidable strength, is he gifted with divine blessings or a rejuvenated old demon?”

Not only Elder Zamu, but other members of the Wutu Tribe also held immense reverence towards Mo Hua.

After taking down the Wotai Tribe, Mo Hua refrained from excessive slaughter.

He only selected a few unruly individuals, who despite outward submission, still harbored insidious thoughts, full of malice, for Elder Zamu to kill, hanging their corpses on the wall to warn others.

Then Mo Hua drafted a portion of young and strong barbarian cultivators from the Wotai Tribe and continued his march towards the next tribe.

Upon reaching the next tribe, Mo Hua replicated his approach.

Using the Fireball Technique to cripple the Elder and then intimidating the other cultivators of the tribe.

Faced with Mo Hua’s ”malignant threat,” they had no choice but to submit.

Then, as usual, select a few troublemakers, kill them as a warning, and then give some meat to quell any grudges.

After completing all this, Mo Hua selected more people and continued advancing towards the next tribe.

In this manner, with his terrifying Fireball Technique, combining grace and force, wherever Mo Hua went, no tribes failed to surrender, declaring their willingness to submit.

In just two days, Mo Hua conquered the surroundings of Wutu Mountain, subjugating no fewer than six small tribes.

In leisure time, Elder Zamu, harboring some doubt, asked Mo Hua:

”Shaman, why do you only cripple with fireballs but don’t kill them?”

With the Shaman’s power, many times a single fireball could directly eliminate them, so why bother having his old bones go up to finish them off?

Mo Hua, with a face full of compassion, replied:

”I am the Shaman of the Great Wilderness, and you are all children of the Great Wilderness. Unless it’s absolutely necessary, I truly am reluctant to take lives.”

Stunned, Elder Zamu felt deeply moved, developing genuine respect and admiration for Mo Hua.

Possessing the power to kill yet harboring compassion.

This indeed is the noble character and demeanor a Shaman should possess.

...

Afterward, another five days passed, and around Wutu Mountain, all tribes that could be conquered were subdued by Mo Hua in the name of the ”Shaman.”

The only remaining tribe was the strongest around, the Wulu Tribe.

At this point, beside Mo Hua, a total of two hundred young and strong barbarian cultivators recruited from various small tribes were following.

Looking at the territory he had ”conquered,” along with a mixed army of various kinds of barbarian cultivators resembling a makeshift troupe behind him.

Mo Hua’s visage remained stern, yet he couldn’t help but wonder inwardly.

He initially wanted to join the Taoist soldiers Court and head south to the Great Wilderness with the Taoist soldiers to suppress the rebellion, aiming to make a name for himself.

Due to saving the Big Tiger and mistakenly entering the heart of the Great Wilderness, all plans were thwarted.

But now, aren’t my current actions considered another kind of...

Establishing success?
