Mythical Professions are all my employees

Chapter 238 A New Legendary Employee, 'Purgatory Rose', Aoi! Aoi's Life StoryChapter 238 A New Legendary Employee, ’Purgatory Rose’, Aoi! Aoi’s Life Story
The dim yellow light shone in from outside, and the flowing sleeves of the kimono with its cherry blossom pattern resembled a bewitching blooming spider lily.

She stared blankly at the simple roof.

The scent of photinia filled the air. She lay numbly on the ground, the voice of the man she called her father faintly audible in her ears.

”Lord Tsuchiya? Haha, how could I possibly accept this? This... haha, alright, thank you for your kind words! Of course, of course, hahaha, thank you, thank you, I look forward to your next visit!”

”Lord Inoue, will you be bringing other friends tomorrow? Haha, thank you so much... You’re always welcome to come!”

”Lord Toda...”

The sound seemed to come in layers, hazy and indistinct, sometimes near, sometimes far, as she heard it.

She was numb and listless, motionless.

The health bar above his head had dwindled to a mere sliver.

She didn’t know how much time had passed when, with a creak, the door opened, and a huge shadow, cast by the crystal light outside, enveloped her.

”Damn it, what a mess! If you’re not dead, get up and go clean up in the back! We have guests coming soon!”

A man’s rough voice rang out, and then he slammed the door shut again.

She didn’t know how much time had passed before she slowly sat up.

She stood there stunned for a moment, then suddenly began to vomit violently and uncontrollably.

But nothing came out; only snot and tears kept flowing. She vomited for a while, then suddenly turned and ran to the back of the house.

In the house behind the house, there was a wooden bucket. This was the water she had drawn from the lake during the day. She frantically poured the water over herself and scrubbed her body vigorously.

Push harder! Push harder!
Her skin turned red from rubbing, as if she wanted to rub it all off.

But her energy-based body makes even getting injured a luxury.

The icy lake water poured over her, but she didn’t feel cold; her body trembled silently.

She hugged her knees and wept silently.

Why…

Why do you do this to her?

why?
She curled up tightly.

Tears mingled with the lake water as they flowed.

...

She hoped it was all a nightmare, and that everything would be back to normal when she woke up.

But the truth is...

Every day that followed was a nightmare.

It’s all hell!

The underground shelter is always a dazzlingly bright place, but behind the dazzling light lies an endless abyss.

”You’d better be on your best for today’s courtesan competition! If you don’t win, I’ll teach you a lesson!”

The man she called her father said this to her.

The flower market was much more lively than usual on the day of the courtesan competition, with even many young children coming to watch.

Her father spent a fortune to have her dressed up for the occasion, hoping she would win the title of the most beautiful courtesan.

Her long, flowing sleeves adorned with crimson cherry blossoms were exquisitely beautiful. Her face was adorned with fine makeup, highlighting her stunning beauty. Though her expression was blank, she remained breathtakingly gorgeous.

Like the red spider lily in hell, it is both alluring and tragically beautiful.

A woman with white makeup gently took her hand.

Looking at her blank expression, the older woman with pale makeup sighed softly and whispered, ”Take it easy, child, this is our destiny...”

Her blank face twitched slightly as she looked at her.

But he didn’t say a word.

The woman with the pale face looked at her with pity, and finally sighed softly.

Led by the woman with the white face, she walked step by step toward an exquisite pavilion.

Her blank eyes met pairs of burning eyes, eyes she had seen many times before.

Even the way some boys in their teens looked at her made her feel a burning sensation on her skin.

The clamor echoed through the street, and the men’s smiling faces looked bizarre, twisted and sinister.

Amidst the shimmering, dazzling light and shadow.

She heard an exaggeratedly sharp sound.

”...So let’s congratulate the winner of the title of Courtesan this time...”

”It’s Miss Uesugi Aoi from the Uesugi family!!”

Cheers and slogans resounded through the sky.

It reveals the madness unique to the sanctuary of this era.

”Hahaha...this guy’s actually somewhat useful! Hahahaha...”

And that familiar, disgusting laughter.

When the woman with the white makeup stopped, she subconsciously looked up blankly.

Then she saw a dignified-looking middle-aged man calmly looking down at her.

This caused her heart, which had been numb for so long, to tremble slightly.

Because she knew the other person.

The day of professional awakening was the day this host conducted the awakening ceremony!

She remembered what he said at the time.

”Our former homeland was conquered by foreign invaders, a tragedy for us. We must rebuild our homeland and drive out the invaders who have occupied it! And this requires the strength of every citizen! ... So, let me see your strength!”

He is none other than the ’Lord of the City’ of this ’Cherry Blossom House Sanctuary’!
If it were him…

Maybe, perhaps…

In her blank eyes, a faint glimmer of hope, long since vanished, quietly flickered.

But just a moment later, the hope in her eyes began to tremble, and finally, it was completely extinguished…

The glorious and great ’Lord of the City’ in her heart looked down at her carefully, and after a long time, he showed a satisfied smile and nodded gently.

And she saw it in his eyes…

I saw that familiar scorching heat!

…Lord of the City, is it the same?

She thought blankly.

She doesn’t quite remember what happened next; she only vaguely recalls being taken to a beautiful attic.

But what she found in the exquisite attic was not the beautiful room she had imagined, but a pitch-black little house.

The flames flickered, and one by one, cold torture instruments...

Then, the esteemed city lord walked in.

...

Darkness, emptiness, numbness.

After the courtesan competition, her ’business’ improved even more.

Different guests come to the door every day.

The man with a face full of scars grinned from ear to ear.

The crystals of this world are dazzling and bright.

But her world was pitch black and devoid of any hope.

She stared blankly at the familiar rooftop. ”Burn it, burn it...burn it all, burn it all...”

she murmured.

”As expected, Xiao Kui is just as delicious as I imagined... That’s all for today. I’ll be a regular customer from now on. Thank you for your hospitality.”

A familiar voice sounded beside her. She turned her head blankly and saw the boy’s satisfied smile. He straightened his clothes and politely gave her a sunny smile.

After saying those words, the boy who had once captured her heart waved his hand and turned to leave, as always, with a carefree attitude.

Then she heard men talking outside…

”Shinya-kun, is that it? Come again next time!”

”Okay, Uncle Uesugi, then I’ll take my leave now.”

”Hahaha, okay, okay!”

She lay on the ground, her eyes empty and numb.

Her tears had long since dried up.

”Burn it all...burn it all...”

She murmured softly, as if in prayer.

Like a doll with an exquisite exterior, but riddled with holes inside...

...

Name: Uesugi Aoi

Current Occupation: Gardener (Normal)

[Potential: Legendary (Infernal Rose)]

[Biography: Uesugi Aoi was born in the land of cherry blossoms...]

Qin Fang looked at the biography of the brand-new legendary class in front of him, and after reading it carefully, even he let out a long sigh of relief.

His brows were furrowed.

”I never imagined that this legendary new employee would be so far away in the Land of Cherry Blossoms... and that there are actually a large number of survivors living in the underground of the Cherry Blossom Capital in the form of shelters?”

Unexpectedly, the new legendary employee that the headhunting company found for him this time was from the land of cherry blossoms.

What saddened him even more was...

This is what happened to this new employee.

She was born in that shelter, and her mother was a local red-light district entertainer who died of illness when she was very young.

Her father can only be described as scum...

Alcoholism, gambling, domestic violence…

Every imaginable vice of men can be found in him.

In the biography of this person, this man even committed unspeakable acts that were utterly heinous and horrific…

Of course, no one really knows whether this man is her biological father.

After all… considering her mother’s profession…

But anyway.

Just reading about the other person’s life story made Qin Fang feel uneasy.

”...Sure enough, no matter which world or which nation, they are as wicked as ever.”

He frowned.

Then I looked at the headhunting firm’s receipt on the panel.

Should we begin the recruitment process?

Qin Fang paused for a moment, then let out a soft breath.

The Land of Cherry Blossoms is separated from us by the sea, and the sea is not safe right now. He has no ability to fly, so there’s no way he can get there on his own.

We have no choice but to arrange for a headhunting firm to recruit them.

With that in mind, he made his choice immediately.

[Recruiting Now!]

[Recruitment process officially launched...]

Our company will issue invitation letters to potential employees at an appropriate time. The specific time is yet to be determined, but it will not exceed one business day. Please be patient.

A notification from a headhunting firm appeared on the panel.

Qin Fang let out a long breath and then took a deep breath.

I couldn’t help but look at the new employee’s biography...

”Uesugi Aoi...”

Finally, he sighed softly.

He expressed sympathy for the new employee’s plight.

But there was nothing he could do; what was done was done, and he was powerless to change anything.

His eyes flickered slightly, he shook his head, glanced at the countdown, and finally left the Upside-Down Cloud Realm.

...

Time flies like an arrow, passing by in the blink of an eye.

For a young girl, time has long since lost all meaning.

Having just finished a shift, she numbly washed her still-clean body.

At one point, a tiny, distorted black hole suddenly appeared beside her.

The girl stared blankly at the small black hole, her dark eyes showing no particular emotion.

It’s like looking at a piece of rotten wood.

clack.

A black post fell out of a tiny black hole.

She just stared blankly, without moving an inch.

Then, she continued to mechanically and numbly wash her body.

Until a man’s voice came from outside the door.

”You bastard, are you dead in there? We have guests! Get out here right now!!”

The nauseating sound rang out from outside. Her hand paused, but she ignored the greeting from the man outside who called her father. She got up and walked to the black poster.

After thinking for a moment, he reached out and picked up the mysterious black post.

The post was entirely black, adorned with exquisite patterns and the two mysterious characters ’Rakuen’ that she didn’t recognize.

Just then, a loud bang rang out, and the door was violently kicked open.

”What the hell are you doing...?”

The rest of the words are not finished yet.

The mysterious, pitch-black post in her hand suddenly emitted a dazzling white light.

But she just stared blankly at it.

The white light grew brighter and brighter, enveloping her entire body.

Finally, to the astonishment of the man who pushed open the door, a flash of white light appeared.

Her figure vanished from the spot…
