Mythical Professions are all my employees

Chapter 6: Trouble with the Grumpy Rabbit, World Invasion!Chapter 6: Trouble with the Grumpy Rabbit, World Invasion!
”Brother, brother, wake up!”

The next morning, Qin Fang was still half asleep when he heard Qin Xiaoyou knocking on the door.

He rubbed his sleepy eyes, opened them, and saw the bright sunlight streaming in through the window.

He was stunned for a moment before he came to his senses.

...I was thinking about hiring employees yesterday, and I don’t know what time I finally fell asleep...

He yawned unconsciously.

Suddenly, he jolted awake and looked abruptly at what was in front of him.

After a long while, Qin Fang finally let out a long breath, relaxed his whole body, and smiled...

The panel is still there.

Not a dream.

He truly acquired an incredibly powerful profession!
Without further hesitation, Qin Fang roused himself, got dressed, and got out of bed.

Today, we’re going to run a dungeon!

……

Upon exiting the room, I discovered that Qin Xiaoyou was already fully prepared and ready to go.

”Brother, you’re so slow!”

Qin Xiaoyou had already changed her clothes.

Her long black hair was tied in a ponytail, and she wore a black combat uniform. Despite her petite figure, she looked very fit and neat.

...This black combat suit was naturally a second-hand item she bought online, and Qin Fang altered it for her when she got back.

It was summer, and she was wearing black shorts. A scabbard with a dagger was strapped to her smooth right thigh with a leather belt.

A typical summer skin for a female assassin.

...Well, this dagger is just an ordinary dagger, not even a basic one.

Even a ”plain” dagger is a dungeon drop.

But weapons with attack attributes that drop from dungeons... they can’t afford them.

...Of course, they don’t need it now.

The strength of epic classes has been proven by yesterday’s performance of the irritable rabbit.

They can easily defeat level 9 raging rabbits, so normal dungeons pose no challenge to them.

”Breakfast is ready, eat up so we can set off!”

Qin Xiaoyou was a little impatient.

Qin Fang looked and saw that breakfast had indeed been prepared.

It’s just two simple bowls of noodles, without any toppings.

”Okay, let me wash up first.”

Qin Fang said he was going to the bathroom to wash up. After he came out, the brother and sister started eating at the table.

”Bro, which dungeon are we going to later?”

Qin Xiaoyou asked impatiently.

After thinking for a moment, Qin Fang said, ”Yesterday, the grumpy rabbit caused us trouble... so today we’ll go and cause trouble for the grumpy rabbit.”

”A grumpy rabbit?” Qin Xiaoyou’s eyes lit up: ”Great!”

There are five dungeons near Irontooth City. The dungeon for the irritable rabbit is called ’Rabbit Paradise’. It is a Tier 0 dungeon, which is perfect for Tier 0 players.

The two quickly finished breakfast. Qin Xiaoyou went to wash the dishes, while Qin Fang rummaged through the pile of garbage in the house for a while and finally found a small dagger.

I held it in my hand and waved it around a few times, but it didn’t feel quite right.

But I couldn’t find anything better, so I’ll just have to make do with this.

...The boss’s profession is not planned to be revealed for the time being.

But now that he’s a professional, he naturally needs to level up, and therefore needs a professional to provide cover.

An assassin is undoubtedly his best cover right now.

...Anyway, he didn’t plan to team up with anyone. Without a team, it would be very difficult for others to know his professional information.

Unless the other party possesses advanced identification or investigation skills.

However, he went to a Tier 0 dungeon this time, so it’s unlikely he’d encounter anyone with that skill.

After getting ready, the brother and sister went out.

Pushing open the gate, a street resembling a shantytown came into view.

Collapsed houses, cracked streets, haphazardly erected shacks... it’s like a country ravaged by war in a past life.

This is the slums of the ’Iron Teeth’ base city.

More than thirty years ago, the world was invaded, and human civilization suffered a devastating blow. After a series of chaos, especially the emergence of professionals, humanity was able to rebuild its home from the ruins.

However, due to various reasons, it is very difficult to rebuild the once brilliant and habitable human civilization.

Of course, those in power and combat professionals naturally enjoy very good living conditions.

But the two of them were born as orphans, so where would they get such favorable conditions?
Qin Fang and Qin Xiaoyou walked through the shantytown. There were many people, but it was not as orderly as in their previous life, and they were walking side by side.

Qin Fang even saw people urinating and defecating on the street...

There’s nothing we can do about such a regression in civilization.

Qin Fang suddenly had a thought and remembered something.

As Qin Xiaoyou said, his professional characteristic is that the more employees he has, the stronger he becomes.

Let’s see how things go.

Thinking of this, he had a sudden thought and casually glanced at a woman passing by.

”Target for investigation!”

bass!
The panel appears.

A line of text appeared.

[Awakened profession failures have no potential and cannot be recruited.]

”Can’t we recruit non-professionals...?”

Qin Fang seemed to be deep in thought.

He changed his target.

”Target for investigation!”

[Awakened profession failures have no potential and cannot be recruited.]

……

There were more than ten in a row that could not be recruited.

Qin Fang was speechless.

...I truly experienced the rarity of professionals.

”I refuse to believe it...”

He muttered to himself.

Anyway, the amount of mana required for this ’target of investigation’ is very low. With his current mental strength of 30, he can use it all the time without any problems.

Finally, a professional was found.

[Name: XX]

Occupation: Gardener

【strength……】

……

[If the target’s potential is below epic level, recruitment is not recommended.]

(P.S.: Large companies still need to have some entry requirements.)
……

Upon seeing this description, Qin Fang was stunned for a moment.

Does this mean... he can only recruit people with ’epic potential’ or higher?
Epic class...

One in ten thousand?
”...Is my boss... going to have Qin Xiaoyou as his only employee for a long time?”

Qin Fang’s face twitched.

The more employees he has, the stronger he becomes!

His original idea was to recruit as many employees as possible.

Even if it’s a regular white-collar job, it doesn’t matter... after all, he perfectly shares the attributes of employees.

There are many ordinary professional employees, and the combination of their attributes can be quite formidable.

...It’s fine to be an ordinary, mediocre numerical monster.

But now, this notification has effectively nipped Qin Fang’s idea in the bud.

Qin Fang was speechless for a moment.

Undeterred, he continued his investigation.

As it turns out... it really is hard to find.

Let alone epic level.

He hasn’t even encountered a single person with ’elite’ potential!

...Am I really going to be a lone commander for a long time?

Qin Fang’s mood immediately soured.

……

Feeling depressed, he and Qin Xiaoyou unknowingly arrived at the station in the city center of the ’Iron Fang’ base city.

It’s more than 20 kilometers from Iron Teeth to Rabbit Paradise, and it takes more than an hour to walk there.

Fortunately, there is a small town outside the dungeon, and there are direct buses from the city.

The two entered the station and soon found a bus heading to ’Rabbit Town’.

A female ticket seller was selling tickets at the train door when the brother and sister walked over.

How much is the ticket?

Qin Fang asked the ticket seller.

”20 silver coins.”

The ticket seller glanced at the two of them and said casually.

The world’s monetary system has long since collapsed; the current monetary system is a product of the post-cataclysmic events.

Copper coins, silver coins, gold coins, etc.

And all this money comes from the dungeon world.

They are not just currency; they also serve other purposes in areas related to dungeons, professions, etc.

Therefore, it successfully replaced the currency system previously issued by the state.

Upon hearing that it would cost 20 silver coins, Qin Fang’s teeth ached.

The base system for copper, silver, and gold coins is a decimal system.

One hundred copper coins are equal to one silver coin.

2000 copper coins...

Previously, he and Qin Xiaoyou would spend half a month working at the garbage dump or ecological park. But now, just a ticket to the instance costs this much!
...The hardships of ordinary people’s lives can be seen from this point.

Fortunately, both of them have now become professionals.

Making money will be much easier from now on.

The two of them had some savings, all of which were with Qin Xiaoyou. After Qin Xiaoyou awakened and gained a control panel yesterday, all the money was put into the panel’s ’wallet’.

Qin Xiaoyou looked pained, but at Qin Fang’s prompting, she reluctantly handed over forty silver coins to the ticket seller.

The ticket seller took the money, and with a flick of his wrist, the silver coin disappeared. He then looked at the brother and sister and let them board the train.

There were already quite a few passengers on the bus, chatting idly. When Qin Xiaoyou and Qin Fang boarded, they instinctively looked over.

Several young women’s eyes visibly lit up when they saw Qin Fang...

After all, Qin Fang is quite handsome.

Qin Fang even saw the look of amazement in their eyes.

...Having lived with that face for several years, he had become familiar with that look in his eyes.

Unmoved, he and Qin Xiaoyou found an empty seat and sat down.

He glanced around and noticed that most of the passengers on the bus were young, looking similar to him.

After all, this was a vehicle heading to Rabbit Town, and most of the passengers were Rank 0 professionals.

That is, it has only recently awakened.

They are also relatively young.

They were mostly chatting idly, and listening to their conversation, Qin Fang gradually understood...

These are all students from city schools. They seem to have only recently awakened their powers and are currently leveling up in dungeons.

In the world of professionals, schools are naturally associated with professionals as well.

I heard that a group of students awaken every month at the college.

Unfortunately, Qin Fang and Qin Xiaoyou were orphans. It was a miracle they even grew up; they had no chance to go to school.

In other words, they completed some basic education in the orphanage and were barely considered illiterate.

But don’t think about anything more.

School requires tuition fees.

And it’s not cheap.

The orphanage is struggling to operate, so where would they get the spare money to send them to school?
...Compulsory education was also abolished long ago due to the impact of major changes in the world.

I have heard that some people keep bringing up the issue of compulsory education.

But it seems like it’s being blocked by some people.

There are bad people among the masses.

……

”Chen Yu, your attack power really broke 100? What level are you now?”

”I’m level 6 now, and with all that gear, I’m barely breaking 100.”

”This is too strong! I’m level 5 and my attack is only around 40 points...”

”Don’t even mention it, my heart hurts... I’m only in my early 30s, and I’m dying and limbo just trying to run a normal dungeon...”

The students nearby were talking, not deliberately lowering their voices, and their topics naturally revolved around professionals.

Most of them are complaining.

For ordinary professionals, dungeons are not places they can easily conquer.

Some people mentioned the issue of attack power, which resonated with them. They complained endlessly about how difficult it was to increase their attack power.

”Unfortunately, we are just ordinary professionals, and only a few dozen ’elite professionals’ have emerged this year. I heard that once they reach level 5, their attack power can almost automatically exceed 100.”

”The job coefficient for elite professions is 10, which is twice as high as that of ordinary professions... Isn’t it abnormal for them to have a coefficient of over 100?”

”Plus professional skills... Sigh, the gap between people is sometimes bigger than the gap between people and dogs...”

They exclaimed repeatedly.

Qin Xiaoyou blinked and couldn’t help but look at Qin Fang.

Qin Fang winked at her.

Qin Xiaoyou’s little bottom kept wiggling as she sat on the stool, clearly very excited.

But he still held back and didn’t say anything more.

Indeed, without comparison, the feeling of happiness is not strong.

These people are all level 5 or 6, yet their attack power is still below 100.

And she, level 0, attack 695!

...Isn’t this difference bigger than that between a person and a dog?
However, since her brother is low-key, Qin Xiaoyou can’t be too high-profile either.

They are only at level 0, but they seem very powerful right now.

But in reality, if a Tier 1 professional comes along with better equipment and skills, she might not necessarily be their match.

After all... rank suppression is no joke.

Just one rank difference translates to a 20% increase in both absolute damage reduction and absolute damage increase... and that’s no joke.

They are still very weak right now, so let’s play it safe and develop first.

Listening to the people chatting nearby, after a short wait, the vehicle was full and started moving.

The vehicle drove out of Irontooth City and headed into the wilderness.

The wilderness is very dangerous now, after all... monsters from dungeons that haven’t been perfectly cleared will spawn outside.

You can’t kill them all; even if you clear them out, they’ll just respawn in a couple of days.

Unless the dungeons that refresh them are perfectly cleared.

The vehicle was bumpy, and the roads outside the city were also severely damaged due to the monsters in the dungeon. Although it was patched up afterward, it couldn’t withstand the constant damage.

I thought I’d at least encounter some monsters along the way. But things went surprisingly smoothly...

We didn’t encounter any dungeon monsters.

It became clear after a moment’s thought.

After all, we’re heading to a dungeon area, a place frequented by professionals. If there were any monsters there, they would have been killed long ago.

”I should have come by myself; it only takes about an hour.”

Qin Xiaoyou muttered to herself.

In fact, it will be faster.

After all, this hour was during their time as ordinary people.

But are they still ordinary people now?
Qin Xiaoyou has an agility of 30, and Qin Fang has an agility of 50... This is not just something to be admired.

Agility is related to many things. For assassins, it relates to attack power, critical hit rate, critical damage, attack speed, and naturally, movement speed as well.

In fact, 20 kilometers is not far for most professionals.

After all, the physical condition of professionals can be quantified, and their endurance is astonishing.

Qin Fang understood that she was heartbroken over the forty silver coins.

”It’s okay, there will be plenty of opportunities to make money in the future, I don’t care about this little bit.”

he laughed.

……

Twenty minutes later, Qin Fang and Qin Xiaoyou saw a small town.

The huge sign with the words ’Rabbit Town’ can be seen from afar.

The Rabbit Paradise instance is right here.

The vehicle stopped, and the two got out, only to hear shouts.

”Team No. 3, students from No. 3, come on! We’re missing a physical damage dealer, let’s go!”

”Level 9 warrior carries you, 80 gold per ride, no class or level restrictions. Hurry up and get on board!”

”Level 9 mage leading the team, safety guaranteed, speedrun of hard dungeons! Looking for two tanks, both physical and magical resistances above 25!”

……

These shouts made Qin Fang’s expression turn somewhat strange... as if he had been transported to a large-scale online game world.

This was Qin Xiaoyou’s first time visiting such a place where professionals gathered, and she was extremely excited and curious, looking around with great interest.

The professions in this world are incredibly diverse, but they can generally be categorized into five main types: tanks, physical damage dealers, magical damage dealers, ranged damage dealers, and supports.

Besides those forming teams, there are also people selling equipment, materials, and other items.

Stalls were set up haphazardly, displaying a dazzling array of goods that left visitors overwhelmed with their variety.

”Brother, should we buy some equipment?”

Qin Xiaoyou suddenly asked Qin Fang.

”How much money do we owe?”

Qin Xiaoyou stared blankly.

”A little over 74 silver coins are still owed...”

”Then what should we buy? Even a simple white dagger would cost a hundred or two silver coins, right?”

”Forehead……”

”Let’s just go to the dungeon and do it. I’ll start a group.”

As Qin Fang spoke, he began operating the control panel.

Professional players can team up, and when in a team, damage from teammates will not harm teammates.

...He spent most of yesterday night looking at the control panel, and it wasn’t for nothing.

He quickly found the location to form a team and wrote Qin Xiaoyou’s name on it with his mind.

Qin Xiaoyou’s eyes widened immediately as she saw the prompt on the panel.

[Qin Fang has requested to team up with you. Would you accept?]

She naturally chose to accept it.

Immediately, two small avatars appeared on the panel, one of her and one of Qin Fang.

It also displays basic information such as name, occupation, level, and health.

For example, next to Qin Fang’s portrait, the two bright characters ”Boss” are written in large letters.

Qin Fang glanced at it and decided that he would not easily team up with anyone in the future.

”Walk.”

Once the two players have teamed up, they can enter the same instance and immediately head towards it.

Halfway there.

”Brother, look, it’s a centaur...”

Qin Xiaoyou suddenly realized something.

Qin Fang was startled and subconsciously looked over.

Not far away, there were several tall figures whose upper bodies were no different from humans, but whose lower bodies resembled those of horses.

Qin Fang narrowed his eyes slightly.
