Mythical Professions are all my employees

Chapter 1 The Dangerous 'Professional Awakening'Chapter 1 The Dangerous ’Professional Awakening’

”are you ready?”

The night was as still as water.

The boy’s voice rang out softly in the quiet night.

”Wait, wait a minute.”

The girl’s voice, which was visibly trembling, paused for a moment, followed by the sound of her trying to regulate her breathing.

Outside the base city, in a remote, desolate forest.

Two figures were bathed in moonlight.

High in the sky, a hideous scar that almost cleaved the sky in two radiated a scarlet light, tinging even the bright moonlight with a hint of crimson.

By the crimson moonlight, it could be clearly seen that they were a boy and a girl of about fifteen or sixteen years old.

They were standing in a neatly arranged circle.

You can vaguely see crisscrossing patterns, forming a strange array.

In front of them was a bowl filled with an unidentified liquid. It was dark and indistinct, even in the moonlight.

Upon hearing Qin Xiaoyou’s voice, Qin Fang paused, his hand still holding the bowl.

Qin Fang was fifteen or sixteen years old. He was a little over 1.7 meters tall, which wasn’t very tall, but he was thin and had a good body proportion, so he looked very tall.

He had a head of slightly messy, jet-black hair, a very handsome face, fair skin, eyes as black as lacquer, and a pair of phoenix eyes that seemed to look at dogs with deep affection... his looks were truly striking.

”Are you nervous?”

He asked the girl beside him softly.

By the moonlight, you could see that Qin Xiaoyou’s sweet face tightened slightly, and her other hand holding his tightened noticeably, but she was trying to sound tough: ”No, I’m not nervous.”

She said she wasn’t nervous, but the tense look on her face made it obvious to anyone that she was lying.

Qin Fang naturally knew she was lying.

After all... it’s related to professional awakening.

In a little while, we may even have to face unknown terrors.

How could I not be nervous?

Can……

no way.

Qin Fang’s mind flashed through all the events of the past two years since he transmigrated.

The world is invaded, monsters are invading.

The world’s malice towards ordinary people has reached its peak.

If it weren’t for the orphanage he had been backing these past two years, he would have died countless times.

He and Qin Xiaoyou are now preparing for a ’career awakening ceremony’.

After the world was invaded, the rules of the world seemed to have changed, and people in this world could awaken ’professions’.

Once you become a ’professional’, you can possess extraordinary powers.

There are two prerequisites for becoming a ’professional’.

First, you must be at least fifteen years old.

Second, through a career awakening ceremony.

Both of them have met the first condition.

We are currently preparing for a career awakening ceremony.

For wealthy people, career awakening ceremonies are very safe.

A specialized career awakening formation, career awakening crystals, and a large number of professional security personnel on site...

We can handle any situation calmly.

But for people like Qin Fang and Qin Xiaoyou who are poor... the professional awakening ritual is very dangerous.

The emergence of professionals seems to be solely for the purpose of dealing with the ’world invasion’.

Naturally, when a class awakening occurs somewhere, the monsters that are ’invading the world’ nearby will sense it immediately, then rush over to destroy or kill the newly awakened class...

Qin Fang had seen those monsters in the past two years; they were terrifying, practically inhuman.

For example, the professional awakening formation beneath their feet—whoever left it is unknown—but when Qin Fang and Qin Xiaoyou first discovered this place, there were already three corpses lying nearby, devoured beyond recognition…

very scary.

Can……

no way.

Coming into such a dangerous world, if they cannot become professionals, then death is the only outcome awaiting them.

...Especially since a Tier 2 dungeon recently appeared nearby, it has not been perfectly cleared for nearly a month, causing widespread panic in the base city.

The monsters in the dungeons might appear in the real world at any time.

Many people are even planning to flee.

Others have money and power, so running away is naturally not a problem for them.

But Qin Fang and Qin Xiaoyou were just orphans, with no money and no power...

Where can it run to?
...We have no choice but to take a gamble.

”It’s alright. Even if we attract monsters, as long as one of us awakens a combat class, we can easily handle it...”

Qin Fang gently comforted Qin Xiaoyou.

The words say so.

But in truth, Qin Fang himself wasn’t sure either.

What profession one becomes in this world is entirely a matter of fate.

Completely random.

There is no way to interfere with the outcome of awakening.

Unfortunately, the number of awakened combat classes is very low.

The ratio of those employed in daily life to those employed in their professions is almost 1 to 9.

Out of ten people, only one might become a combat profession. ...Some speculate that the invading worlds are behind this.

However, there is no empirical evidence.

Secondly, even if there is empirical evidence, there is no way to prove it.

Can only be left to fate.

Qin Fang’s words of comfort seemed to have some effect, and Qin Xiaoyou’s trembling body finally stopped shaking.

She gritted her teeth and whispered, ”Brother, I’m ready... Let’s begin!”

But when he said the last three words, ”Let’s begin,” he seemed to grit his teeth.

Qin Fang said no more. He took a deep breath and then reached out to pick up the bowl on the ground in front of him.

Then he whispered, ”Profession...Awakening!”

After saying that, he suddenly flipped the bowl over and pressed it directly onto a pattern on the ground.

Under the silvery moonlight, it became clear that the bowl of dark liquid was not black at all... but rather a scarlet red.

is blood.

His blood and Qin Xiaoyou’s blood.

The blood seeped into the ground and then slowly seeped into the array lines next to it.

Qin Xiaoyou stood beside Qin Fang, nervously watching the magic array on the ground.

It was quiet all around.

At a certain moment, something magical happened.

A series of scarlet halos appeared one after another, and in just a short while, they covered the entire formation, enveloping the two of them.

Then, light appeared on them.

Qin Fang’s eyes lit up.

it has started!

He stared intently at his own body.

At one moment, a transparent, colorless light flickered on his body...

Wait……

Colorless light?

Qin Fang was taken aback, and then fell silent.

The world has been invaded for more than 30 years, and now there is a clear understanding of the professional levels of professionals.

Although he was an orphan, he knew these common-sense things.

Upon awakening, one can distinguish their job rank by color.

The higher the rank, the greater the potential of the professional, and the more powerful the profession.

Not only will they have more powerful ’professional skills’, but they will also have higher ’growth rate’ and ’professional coefficient’.

...The gap between whales and ordinary players in pay-to-win games is even greater than in my previous life.

The currently known tiers, from lowest to highest, are ’White Common’, ’Green Elite’, ’Blue Excellent’, ’Purple Epic’, ’Gold Legendary’, and ’Seven-Colored God’.

Colorless?
Is this a failure?
Qin Fang remained silent.

...Awakening professions, life and combat ratio 9:1.

The remaining 90...

It’s a failure.

That is, ’unemployed’!
Are you unemployed?
Even with Qin Fang’s strong personality, he felt a deep sense of powerlessness at this moment.

...The plan for the future needs to be changed...

he thought.

In this extraordinary world, profession reigns supreme.

If you have no job, you are destined to be at the bottom of the world.

Even if you have prepared yourself mentally, when the time comes, you may still feel powerless and frustrated.

Just then, a soft white light flashed beside me.

Qin Fang turned his head to look.

Qin Xiaoyou was bathed in a white light.

White……

Is it a regular profession?

A sense of disappointment resurfaced in his heart.

In a world where profession reigns supreme, those in ordinary professions are inherently at a disadvantage.

but……

It’s better than not having a job at all.

He quickly composed himself and asked in a low voice, ”Xiao You, what’s your profession?”

Qin Xiaoyou stared unfocusedly at the person in front of her.

Qin Fang knew that was the professional panel.

Only the person in question can see it.

Upon hearing Qin Fang’s question, she subconsciously turned her head to look at Qin Fang.

The look in his eyes made Qin’s heart skip a beat.

...Not a combat class?
Just then, heavy footsteps echoed from the dark, dense forest.

It felt like something was rushing towards us at high speed.

Qin Fang’s expression hardened, and he looked in that direction.

...It seems we’ve still attracted monsters.
