Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

25: Chapter 25 BreakupChen Mo sneered inwardly.

These people were using the banner of ’serving the Dragon Country’s chip industry,’ but in reality, they just saw that he was ’out of money’ and wanted to swallow his 32nm chip technology.

It must be known that 32nm chip technology, even on a global scale, already belongs to the mid-to-high-end process!

At that time, the most advanced mass-produced chip in our country was SMIC’s 40nm. The 32nm chip Longxin 3B, independently designed by our country, only achieved tape-out success in October 2012. The Institute of Microelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences only announced the R&D progress of 22nm HKMG transistors in December 2012, but it was only a laboratory prototype with no mass production capability!

The mature commercial technology domestically mainstreamed was only 40nm!

The chip industry is indeed a money burner; without continuous investment, one quickly falls behind. But they didn’t know that Chen Mo didn’t need to spend money on R&D.

Not to mention the petty schemes of these people.

Ali and Penguin wanted to use chips to constrain mobile phone manufacturers, those backed by America wanted to curb domestic technology, and the banks were just going with the flow, hoping to take equity stakes.

Only the nation genuinely hoped he would focus on chips, but these people were merely using the nation’s name to seek personal gain.

”What if I say no?”

Chen Mo wore a smile on his face, but his eyes were full of mockery.

Jack Ma’s expression darkened, and he emphasized each word as he spoke:

”Then we will have no choice but to ’compete fairly’ with CEO Chen.”

Everyone understood the meaning behind those words.

BAT plus all the capital present would join forces to gang up on him.

Chen Mo only had 20 billion. If he exhausted it, he would either have to save the chip project, save his other industries, or beg them to invest.

They had long been displeased with Chen Mo, who wanted to monopolize everything and take over all industries. Did they really think these capital magnates were just props?

Chen Mo ignored Jack Ma and turned to look at the bank representatives.

The manager of the Dragon Country Bank’s Shanghai branch (who had clearly been promoted now) whom he had dealt with before was the first to stand up:

”CEO Chen, rest assured, we are only here to observe, remaining impartial. If CEO Chen lacks funds, we can provide loans interest-free.”

Other bank representatives echoed this, all stating their willingness to lend.

Chen Mo knew clearly: accepting a favor meant incurring an obligation. These funds looked like goodwill, but they were actually a trap. If he couldn’t repay them, Tianxing Technology would become the bank’s puppet.

But this also confirmed the nation’s attitude for him.

They hoped he would concentrate on chips and stop throwing money around everywhere.

However, Chen Mo knew that companies like Ali and Penguin had intense internal competition domestically but dared not venture abroad. The money they earned was either pocketed by themselves or given to foreign capital, leaving the nation to clean up the mess in the end.

Now that he had the chance to eliminate them, he would never compromise.

”Thank you all for your kindness, but I, Chen Mo, am not lacking money for the time being.”

Chen Mo responded lightly, his gaze sweeping over Jack Ma, Pony Ma, Robin Li, and the capital magnates behind them.

”I will only say this once, so listen carefully:

I am not short of money, and I intend to fight you all to the death!

Disagree?

If you have the ability, come and fight me!

Whoever can defeat me will receive Tianxing Technology for free, without me asking for a single cent;

If you don’t have the ability, then obediently wait for bankruptcy!

Every single one of you here, including the three of you, mark my words, one day I will make all of you bankrupt!”

As these words left his mouth, the entire conference hall instantly fell silent; everyone was stunned.

This was too arrogant!

Was he truly unafraid of everyone joining forces against him?

Jack Ma’s face was grim, and he let out a cold laugh:

”CEO Chen, young people who are too impetuous often suffer losses.”

Make him bankrupt?

It was simply the biggest joke; what he had most was money.

”I have the capital to be impetuous, is that not allowed?”

Chen Mo would not yield an inch.

”A year ago, I was a poor kid living in a self-built house in the suburbs worth a few hundred yuan. Now, even if I lose everything, at worst, I can treat it as if I had a dream. But what about you all?

Have you long forgotten what the taste of hardship is like?

If you truly reverted to being ordinary billionaires, could you handle it?”

Only then did the crowd react. Chen Mo originally had nothing, so he truly wasn’t afraid of their threats.

But they possessed wealth and power; they couldn’t afford to lose and dared not lose.

Even so, they wouldn’t be intimidated; they just thought Chen Mo had gone mad.

The best way to deal with a madman was to eliminate him directly.

At this moment, they finally regarded Chen Mo as a true enemy, an enemy that must be struck down.

”Since CEO Chen has said so, there is no need for today’s negotiation meeting to continue.”

Jack Ma glanced at the note handed to him from behind, stood up, and said.

”Then I can leave?”

Chen Mo sneered, stood up, and walked out. Wu Xue immediately followed.

The look in her eyes toward Chen Mo was filled with adoration.

This man was handsome even when falling out with all the industry magnates.

The next day, the Dragon Country’s internet exploded.

Meituan Takeout and Ele.me Takeout suddenly increased subsidies, and Penguin announced the launch of Penguin Live Streaming and Penguin Novels, with deep discounts on all in-game skins and items, clearly intending to launch an all-out assault on Chen Mo.

Chen Mo was equally unyielding and directly posted an announcement on the Tianxing Technology official website:

He did not rule out the possibility of entering e-commerce and developing a search engine.

As soon as the news broke, the stock prices of Ali and Baidu plummeted by more than 5% on the spot, resulting in a combined loss exceeding 6 billion US dollars.

Although stock prices were intangible, it was enough to make Jack Ma and Robin Li’s hearts ache.

However, Tianxing Takeout did not follow suit by increasing subsidies, maintaining a daily subsidy of eighty million.

A few days later, Tianxing Takeout’s market share dropped to around 50%. Netizens began to worry:

”Is Chen Mo out of money?”

Just then, a post suddenly went viral online, filled with photos of small takeout processing workshops.

Stoves covered in grease, moldy ingredients, and operating rooms with no disinfection equipment—calling them black workshops was an overstatement.

The post also claimed that the takeout from these black workshops could only be ordered on Meituan, Ele.me, and Baidu Waimai, while the merchant screening for Tianxing Takeout was extremely strict; without a business license and health certificate, they couldn’t pass.

Netizens instantly erupted:

”No wonder these few companies have such large subsidies; it turns out they are supplied by black workshops. How could the cost not be low?”

”I’ll never order from Meituan or Ele.me again; life is more important!”

”Tianxing Technology is truly conscientious. Their screening is too strict!”

”Tianxing Takeout’s technology is really amazing. How can it identify black workshops?”

”They are a real high-tech company, unlike some pseudo-technology that only knows how to fleece money!”

”Seriously, the Tianxing Takeout APP never lags, the positioning is accurate, and the riders have never made a mistake!”

The state also acted immediately, announcing a strict investigation into all takeout black workshops and urging major platforms to conduct self-inspections.

The CEOs of Meituan, Ele.me, and Baidu Waimai were completely dumbfounded.

Self-inspection?

How could they check?

Sending people to verify business licenses and health certificates one by one would drastically increase costs!

Checking with the Administration for Industry and Commerce?

The commercial system wasn’t even fully networked yet, and even if it were, they wouldn’t have the authority.

They truly couldn’t understand how Chen Mo managed to precisely identify the black workshops?

Did he really possess some kind of black technology?
