Super Electric Eel Avatar

34 Let’s See, How Can You Escape?
”Good… Very good!” Chen Fan gave a thumbs-up to Wang Bing. ”I’m satisfied with your behavior. You don’t need to say anymore. Five hundred RMB won’t be deducted from your salary this month!”

”By the way, I’m not hungry now. If you’re hungry, just cook some instant noodles in the kitchen. If you’re not hungry, just watch TV in the living room and wait for me until noon to eat out.”

After glancing at Wang Bing whose mouth was hanging open widely and not saying anything, Chen Fan pulled his quilt over his head and continued sleeping.

After sleeping until noon, Chen Fan squinted his eyes as he got out of bed and took the disgruntled Wang Bing for lunch. After having lunch, Chen Fan made a call to his company, saying that he had something to do in the afternoon, and he would not be coming in today. Then he went into his own bedroom and warned Wang Bing that if he dared to open his bedroom door again, he would directly deduct 5,000 RMB from his salary.

”God bless me…may God bless me!” With his hands clasped together after saying a prayer, Chen Fan shifted his consciousness to the electric eel once again. He needed to swim to the deep seabed to look for the giant squid during the day. As giant squid were nocturnal creatures, they spent the daytime sleeping in caves.

After filling up the stomach of the electric eel, Chen Fan controlled the electric eel to swim in the deeper part of the sea by swaying his tail left and right.

There was often a saying that the vagaries of the ocean were so beautiful, but in Chen Fan’s opinion, there was no other word to describe it except for the word ’big’! After swimming forward for about an hour by swaying its tail, Chen Fan controlled the electric eel’s head to dive towards the seabed.

Without the use of torchlight during the day, humans were only able to observe their surroundings at a depth of about 200 meters, but it turned pitch-black when they swam even deeper.

Chen Fan’s electric eel avatar vision started to become hazy only after swimming 500 meters deep, and he could still vaguely observe his surroundings within a range of a few dozen meters.

When it reached 600 meters, Chen Fan could not see anything and the electric eel’s inner cavity had a feeling of being squeezed. This was because the pressure of the sea was so great that it was beyond the limits of the electric eel. After gradually increasing the voltage released by the electric eel, Chen Fan closed his eyes and relied solely on the electromagnetic induction in his mind to identify his surroundings.

The water pressure of the deep sea was too great, but for the fishes that lived here it was obviously less. Most of them were jellyfish, octopus, squid... mollusks which liked to live in this kind of habitat.

There was still a certain depth before reaching the seabed, but Chen Fan’s electric eel avatar was unable to continue swimming downwards, so he had to swim up slightly to search for his target on a shallower seabed. With a voltage of 800 volts, Chen Fan could detect his surroundings in a more than 30-meter radius. Floating above the sea floor, Chen Fan swam along it horizontally. Squids usually liked to hide in caves, so the flat and open area was not the place that Chen Fan should search. In contrast, those cliffy and rugged seabeds were places that Chen Fan focused on.

Along the way, he startled a lot of squids, but the biggest one was only about a meter or two long. There was no sign of the ten-meter giant squid that Chen Fan was searching for. As he swam to a cliffy coral reef, Chen Fan spotted a black creature that was being sheltered by the coral reefs. Due to the distance, Chen Fan could not confirm what it was, so he increased the voltage to confirm whether or not it was a giant squid. Just then, there was a sudden swirl of water at the reef and huge tentacles lined with suction cups struck out like two reddish-brown sea snakes attacking ferociously.

Giant squid? Panicked, Chen Fan was not able to dodge. Fortunately, it was quite far away, so the two dozen meter long tentacles did not hit Chen Fan’s electric eel avatar. Since it did not hit the target in a single blow, the coral reef suddenly shook violently and a giant squid which was 15 meters long emerged out from the reef while swinging its tentacles. The two brazen eyes at the top of the tentacles were fixed on Chen Fan.

”So huge!” Chen Fan gasped. Although he had heard about how fierce a giant squid could be, Chen Fan realized that it was much more powerful than what they described after seeing it himself. The giant squid had eight tentacles that were used for swimming, and two long arms that were full of suction cups that were used for hunting. Looking at the giant squid in front of him, Chen Fan was a little uncertain about what should he do next.

The giant squid swam about very fast, so he needed to kill it in one shot. However, a certain amount of time was needed to kill it with a voltage of only more than two thousand volts. Moreover, the eight broad and flexible tentacles were not the only things that he needed to deal with. However....

The giant squid did not wait for Chen Fan to think about it clearly. Instead, it swam forward for dozens of meters and swept its tentacles towards Chen Fan’s direction. ”Damn!” Cursing in his heart, Chen Fan quickly controlled the electric eel to dodge away.

There were two tentacles sweeping towards Chen Fan, and he was able to dodge the one from the left, but not the one from the right. Pow!

The right tentacle of the giant squid slapped the electric eel’s back.

The hunting method of squids was quite similar to snakes as they entangled the prey to suffocate it or to rupture its internal organs. The moment the giant squid’s tentacles touched the electric eel’s body, Chen Fan felt a sudden lump of pain at his waist. It must have been due to the suction cups on its tentacles. Realizing this, Chen Fan quickly raised the electric eel’s voltage to 1000 volts.

Boom! The giant squid’s tentacles that were not even able to wrap around his waist immediately pulled back from the electric eel’s body as though it had touched a red-hot iron. After defending its attack, Chen Fan reduced the voltage to 800 volts to prevent the giant squid from escaping. However, the giant squid seemed to have learned its lesson. It continued to swing around its tentacles without making an attack for a moment.

Chen Fan waited for a moment, but the giant squid still didn’t make a move.

He swam up a dozen meters, but the giant squid still remained in its place and had no intention of following him. ”Coward!”

To prevent the two million RMB from slipping away, Chen Fan was forced to swing his body and make an attack. After taking several deep breaths while swimming towards it, Chen Fan lowered the voltage to 500 volts and maintained his electromagnetic induction within a 20 meter radius. With a swoosh, the giant squid swung its two long tentacles around Chen Fan once again. This time, the giant squid did not hesitate. It ignored the 500 volts of electricity and wrapped both of its tentacles around the electric eel’s body. ”Let’s do it.”

Chen Fan clenched his teeth and waited for the giant squid to wrap its tentacles around the electric eel completely. Then, he controlled the electric eel’s body to turn around suddenly and bit into the soft belly of the giant squid. Under severe pain, the giant squid immediately pulled back its tentacles and pulled the electric eel towards the other eight, short tentacles. Then, all the tentacles wound around the electric eel’s body. Chen Fan waited for the right moment when all the tentacles were wrapped around the electric eel’s body. Using the four not so flexible claws, the electric eel sunk its claws into the giant squid’s soft flesh. The four claws dug into the flesh of the squid as if it were butter. In severe pain, the giant squid strengthened its grip around the electric eel and tried to suffocate it.

Let’s see you try to escape now, thought Chen Fan.

When the time was right, Chen Fan quickly raised the electric eel’s voltage to the highest level.
