Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 848: Chilling Discovery

⟦Update: The requirements to become a Pill Saint have been updated⟧

Kent opened the panel to see what had changed, for he knew this was a critical moment for him.

While he had plans to stay in the medium world for another three years, which is the maximum for him, he did not plan on being a Pill Grandmaster for long.

The plan is to become at least a Pill Sage or Pill King before ascending.

So this message was his last hope.

⟦To qualify to become a Pill Saint, you must complete the following requirements:⟧

↠ Concoct 10 Tier 5 Perfect Pills (Completed)

↠ Concoct a Tier 6 Perfect Pill (Completed)

↠ Concoct a Tier 7 Perfect Pill (Completed)

↠ Gain at least two enlightenments in the pill path (Completed)

↠ Defeat Pill Saint Flura in a Pill Duel - [Pill World] (Uncompleted)

’This is perfect.’ Kent sighed inwardly, reading the message.

This was something he could work with, for he had no idea how someone would accept his challenge after he had humiliated them and later challenged them to a duel, which he planned to defeat again.

This solution was one he received, even though he had no idea who Pill Saint Flura was.

Kent looked at Lady Liora and smiled.

He could tell she truly needed his help, so now that he was free to go all out, he would make sure the pill princess understood the error of her ways.

”I believe we can work something out, Lady Liora. However, I have some questions, and I would value your honest answer.”

”Go ahead.”

”Why didn’t you stop being her master if she had strayed off course and wasn’t taking your advice seriously anymore?”

Lady Liora sighed and pushed her mind back to the day she accepted the Pill Princess. A smile appeared on her lips.

”You know, the day I accepted her as my disciple was the happiest I have ever felt. Not only was she brilliant, but she was also amazing.

She manually awakened a powerful soul flame, awakened an Innate Pill Eye, and even managed to gain three pill enlightenment, all while living in a world like Sonox.

Don’t get me wrong, Sonox is a good world, but I think we can both say it doesn’t have the standards to house a sect like this.

So, for such a world to have this talent, you can only imagine.

This was why I took her in and groomed her, which was very easy considering she was already brilliant.

I invested so much in her with my ultimate dream of imparting a powerful technique my master gave me before she became an immortal.”

Kent raised his brow.

The last sentence took him off guard, but Lady Liora just smiled and cleared his confusion...

”Don’t overthink it. I am not from a Medium world, as you already suspected. In fact, I am from a Great High world, one known about by only a few.

My master was a powerful Alchemist, one who could rival even the geniuses in the pill worlds, so you can only imagine how amazing a technique from her would be.

As a tradition, whenever a master becomes an immortal, their disciple must also take in a disciple and nurture them into an even better version of themselves.

My master nurtured me, and now it is my turn to nurture one. I can only have one disciple, and I picked her.

Of course, it wasn’t like failure wasn’t an option. I could abandon her and vanish back to my world today, but I didn’t because my master didn’t abandon me when I was struggling with my issues.

She found ways to help me overcome my issues, and now I am finding ways to make her into someone who will one day shake the alchemy world.

I could have abandoned her, but I didn’t. Instead, I am doing everything in my power to make her better, and perhaps one day, when I see my master, I will be able to face her.”

Kent could tell the sincerity in her tone, and now that she had revealed her true intentions for coming for his help, the only reason for Kent to hold back was shattered.

”Looks like I will have to wreck your disciple so she can be rebuilt.”

Lady Liora could already see that perhaps Kent was not the best choice for this mission. The grin on his face was sending a dangerous message.

But after looking around, the only person who could handle the mission for her was Kent, so it was better to hire the devil to do that dirty work for her.

’Tower, tell me her true cultivation base, and why wasn’t I able to see her actual cultivation base? I’ve seen things like that before.

⟦The master was able to see the true cultivation realms of his legions because they are connected to you. This person isn’t connected to you, and as such, you cannot see beyond what this world can see.

However, her actual cultivation base is level 4 Spirit Sovereign.⟧

’I see.’

⟦While we are on the same topic, you should also know she is a member of the Midnight Shadows.⟧

’So she is an assassin and even affiliated with the Midnight Shadows.’

⟦Yes, Master. She is a Shadow Emperor with a powerful Shadow Realm.⟧

’Damn, that means she is simple, and judging by the calm, quiet alchemist life she had going on, she had become even more dangerous. If you hadn’t said anything, Tower, I wouldn’t have pegged her as an assassin.’

⟦That is how dangerous the cultivation world is. You might be the strongest and the most talented, but a moment of carelessness will be the cause of your death.

The master should learn from this. The quieter and more harmless they look, the more dangerous they are.⟧

’I will, my dear tower. I will be careful next time.’

And just like that, Kent’s image of the pill emperor sitting before him had changed. If he had seen her as a weak woman and more friendly before, then now he saw her as the most dangerous person he had ever seen.

’If she meant to kill me, she would have succeeded quite easily.’

This thought sent chills down Kent’s body.

”Are you all right?” Lady Liora asked, looking concerned.

Kent smiled faintly and nodded, ”I am fine, Lady Liora. Now, why don’t you tell me how to challenge your disciple?”

Instead of answering, she stood up and smiled, ”That is for you to figure out. Just know that I will be nearby to step in and make it official.”

Kent also stood up and walked around the small table housing the teapot, ”Are you sure you trust me to handle this on my own?”

The question sounded funny because it was indeed funny. However, Lady Liora didn’t say anything and just started walking away.

”I guess I will handle it on my own, but don’t forget, you will owe me big time.”

With a subtle shrug, she flew away, leaving Kent to ponder what that sudden exit was for. They were having a nice conversation, then all of a sudden, she left.

”I guess she had something to do.” With that, Kent went back inside to rest for a few hours before going to challenge the Perfect Chamber.

Meanwhile, Lady Liora went back to her own floating island to rest. Being around Kent, for some reason, stirred her darker past, one she would love to let sleep for years to come.
