Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 847: The Request

[Body Tower - After 48 days]

Kent rose from the herbal bath after 48 days feeling refreshed and even more powerful.

”I should do this more often,” Kent said as he stepped out of the bath and entered the bathroom to have a nice cold bath. It took him a few minutes, but he was ready to go back to the sect.

”After challenging the Perfect Chamber, I will face the Golden Titan stairway and see how far I can climb.”

Kent went to say goodbye to Vexthra before leaving.

The moment he appeared outside in the room where he had entered the tower, he sensed two powerful presences nearby.

He quickly left the room to check who had come to visit.

Before entering the tower, he had only sensed Lady Enzi’s presence, and unless Princess Elowen had become much stronger in the two days he was away, it could only mean someone new had come to Lady Enzi’s dwelling.

Upon exiting the room, he walked toward the edge of the floating island, pretending not to sense the foreign presence.

Lady Enzi called out to him a few seconds after he left the room.

”Lady Enzi, I didn’t see you there,” Kent said with a smile, causing the glass lady to want to smack the back of his head.

Of course, she didn’t act on her impulse.

Lady Liora, being a quick study, caught the calm and almost friendly air between Kent and the glass lady, whom every man seemed to fear and every lady was jealous of.

”Lady Liora,” Kent said, approaching the two ladies seated in a small garden, drinking tea.

Lady Liora looked at Kent and slightly narrowed her eyes. ’There is something different about him.’

Kent noticed the intrigue that appeared in her eyes and smile. Of course, he said nothing more or did anything else.

”Lady Liora wants to talk to you.” The glass lady had left to supervise her disciple, who had just started making headway with her training.

Kent turned to the Pill Emperor and raised his brow. ”I suppose I am here now, Lady Liora.”

”You can sit down.”𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Kent sat down and focused his attention on Lady Liora.

”I heard you and Xhan had an altercation two days ago. Are you all right?”

”I am fine, Lady Liora. It was a minor skirmish between fellow disciples.”

”I suppose you will call it minor, but to all those who witnessed it, that was a great shock to them.” Lady Liora smirked.

”Do you know the only way to counter Xhan’s poison is to take a Tier 11 Poison Resistance pill? And in case you are not aware, one Tier 11 pill sells for several million spirit stones.

And even if you manage to get such a Tier 11 pill, the longer the battle lasts, the weaker the pill’s effect wears off until you are no longer protected.

The sect recognizes him as one of the most powerful and promising disciples in the upcoming Interplanetary Sect competition. We are putting everything on him...

So, for you to handle his poison like it was nothing, can you believe what a shock that is?”

Kent laughed, shaking his head.

”I don’t know what to say, Lady Liora. I merely used my poison resistance to handle his poison.

But even so, I know he is talented and stronger, and, well, seeing him as the most promising candidate for this competition is probably for the best.

However, what about your disciple? I was told you have a talented disciple who is also seeded for the upcoming interplanetary competition.

From what I found when I did my research, she is also amazing and powerful.”

Kent smiled with a touch of guilt, one that he knew using his enchanted eyes on Lady Liora was almost infringing on her privacy.

But then he could justify that and say it was public knowledge and that he already knew all there is to know about the Pill Princess.

”Looks like you did your homework on me.”

”I guess I did.”

”Not bad. But indeed, Sylvara is a powerful disciple; however, she pales in comparison to Xhan.” Lady Liora studied Kent’s expression for a few seconds and asked,

”Do you perhaps have time to do something for me? I will reward you either in pills or supreme points if you accept the offer.”

”I am listening.” Kent sat upright to show the lady he was indeed ready to hear her.

”I want you to challenge my disciple to a duel and defeat her.”

The request was simple, yet Kent knew she truly meant what she asked of him. This made him wonder why she would want something like that.

Of course, he planned to find out, but first, he wanted to check something.

”I am just an inner disciple, Lady Liora. Challenging a core disciple to a duel is not possible. But even if it is, how sure are you that I will win?”

”Please, I can tell you are much stronger than you let on.

You managed to comprehend twelve divine-grade flame arts, defeated the top-talented disciples in both the outer and inner sects, and even went ahead to face someone like Xhan and walked away.

That is enough for anyone to know you are perhaps the strongest disciple in the sect, so cut the pretense and let’s talk.”

”I suppose when you put it that way, we can have a conversation. However, you should know that hiring my strength isn’t cheap... Are you ready to pay?”

Lady Liora didn’t answer; instead, she focused on Kent’s face for a few minutes before she nodded.

’Wow, she is really serious about me teaching her a lesson. I suppose doing her this favor will be a good step toward building a good relationship.’

”How do you want it?” Kent asked.

”I want it to be a battle fought using flame arts. The arena will seal all other skills that have nothing to do with flames. All you have to do is defeat her in the most humiliating way possible; then I will handle the rest.”

Kent smiled. ”I did not peg you to have a dark side, Lady Liora, but it looks good on you.”

Lady Liora didn’t mind him, but Kent saw a redness appear on her cheek. This caused his smile to bloom.

However, a thought entered his mind, one that he knew might prevent him from becoming a Pill Saint anytime soon if he didn’t navigate things well.

’What if, after humiliating her, she chooses not to accept any challenge from me again?’ This thought made Kent hesitant, so he asked a question...

”How about defeating her in a Pill duel?”

”No. That isn’t something she can handle. I am passing a technique to her, and if she were to lose in alchemy against you, it would destroy her future.

She can only accept alchemy duels in perhaps two years. This means this challenge can only be a combat duel.”

’Well, isn’t that great. Now I have to wait two more years to become a Pill Saint.’ Kent was a little sour when the reality sank in.

’I can’t reject her offer, and I also can’t wait two more years, so what should I do?’ Kent’s mind spun, but his thinking was cut short when a message flashed before his eyes.
