Chapter 68 Flying Dragon in the Sky

Outside the Silent Land, Raven Fortress.

Sirius went to the door and asked the watchman.

”how is the situation?”

”He is still on a hunger strike, and he is unwilling to answer our questions,” the guard replied.

”Hunger strike?” Sirius smiled and didn’t care. Can a hunger strike really last for a month? It’s just for them to see, to express their protest.

He waved his hand to signal the guard to open the door, and walked in by himself.

In this almost confinement room, there is no exit except for the only entrance door. All the furnishings except a bed, nothing else. There are four white walls, and all sharp corners are wrapped with special soft and impact-resistant materials to prevent detainees from self-harm.

Teng Bai raised his head and glanced at the person entering the room, sneered and didn’t speak. He has been imprisoned here since the crisis on Mars was resolved. The people in Raven Fortress seemed to believe that someone was behind him and wanted to torture him for other clues.

However, after a month of entanglement, they got nothing, and Mu Fan has no trace until now.

Sirius was not in a hurry to question him like others, on the contrary, he was more interested in Teng Bai himself.Noticing that Teng Bai didn’t answer him, Sirius didn’t take it seriously, but started talking on his own.

”I have been collecting data. From before the creation of the Silent Place 200 years ago to the present, I have learned about the changes in radiation every day. I found a very interesting phenomenon. In the early days of radiation, the affected human symptoms It’s different, some people have abnormal limbs, some have genetic defects, and so on. However, in the later stage, fewer people were affected by radiation, but the symptoms were surprisingly unified.”

Seeing Teng Bai’s striking appearance, Sirius smiled lightly.

”That’s right, most of them are like you, with scaly skin and fangs, and some even grow organs that shouldn’t belong to primates, such as gills. And the mutated people have huge physical strength and abilities. Becoming stronger than ordinary people is not so much a radiation mutation as it is an evolution. People affected by the radiation seem to have noticed something. I heard that near the silent place, anyone who has such alienation will be killed. Gathered together, they called themselves—evolvers, new humans.”

Teng Bai’s fingers on the bed trembled slightly.

Sirius glanced into his eyes and continued: ”And this phenomenon seems to have happened in the empire. I heard that among the sea descendants born after the war, many newborns have defects that cannot transform into prototypes, but they Most of them can master abilities. Humans become like Seaborn, and Seaborn become like humans. Don’t you think, is this interesting?”

Teng Bai finally met his eyes, ”I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

”It’s okay if you don’t know, you just need to listen.” Sirius approached him with a boyish smile, ”I heard that thousands of years ago, the sea descendants went through several major evolutions to develop into what they are today. Then At that time, what guided their evolution was the sacred object they called the sacred stone, but nearly a thousand years ago, the evolution of the sea descendants suddenly stopped. Some people say that their evolution has come to an end, and there is no need to change. ”

Sirius said slowly: ”But how can there be a perfect creature in the world? In my opinion, if the previous evolution of the sea descendants relied on the effect of the god stone, then there is only one possibility for the sudden stop of evolution - the god stone Ineffective, or stolen. At about the same time, humans evolved supernatural powers, and not long after that, the empire launched a war against us, do you think this is just a coincidence?”

”Coincidence or not, it’s all in the past.” Teng Bai said lightly, ”What does it have to do with me?

”Of course it’s related!” Sirius said with an almost fanatical expression, ”What kind of substance is that so-called god stone, and why can it cause biological gene mutations? And what does the mutation of you irradiated people have to do with the Silent Land?” Connection? Haven’t you noticed, whether it’s the God’s Stone or the Land of Silence, both of them have one thing in common—that’s the whale shark.”

”It’s hard to imagine that there are such huge creatures in the world, which can not be affected by the environment of the universe, can transform into human form, and can change back to their original bodies. The existence of such life does not conform to the principle of biological evolution! In fact, you are in Mars It’s not for revenge on the planet, right?” Sirius said, “In that case, the problem can only be solved if Mu Fan transforms into the original form and enters the silent place. You, or the evolutionary organization behind you , It was all directed at him.”

Teng Bai’s breathing was suddenly suffocated, he raised his head uncontrollably, but later realized that this action revealed his inner secret. He looked at Sirius, who seemed to have noticed his reaction long ago, with a faint smile on his lips, but he was not in a hurry to expose him.

”What do you want?” Teng Bai asked through gritted teeth.

”I don’t want to do anything, I’m just making a guess. Of course, I’m not interested in what you guys are going to do, but I am very interested in the reason that caused your mutation.” Sirius said, ”I can keep it a secret for you. , but you want me to study your body and tell me other secrets of your evolutionaries.”

”Why should I trust you?” Teng Bai asked.

”Because you have no choice.” Sirius smiled. ”If you don’t agree, I will report to the imperial envoy now. At that time, what awaits you will not be mere humiliation, but torture that is worse than death.”

”...” Teng Bai looked at the person in front of him firmly, and he found that he couldn’t understand him at all.He clearly has the dominant power, but uses it to exchange some insignificant secrets with himself. Does he understand what he is doing?

Sirius saw through his thoughts, and slowly said: ”I am not interested in the country or the political power. Just like I don’t understand why you people fight each other for those worldly powers, I don’t expect you to understand me.” pursuit.”

”Your pursuit?”

”Unlock all the mysteries of this universe. For this goal, I can do anything.”

Teng Bai looked at Sirius for a long time, and made sure that this person’s expression did not seem to be fake. It seemed that this guy’s obsession with science could really make him do something similar to betrayal. After thinking for a while, Teng Bai whispered, ”I promise you, but I have a request...”

Sirius smiled innocently, like a shy boy who sees the person he likes. However, Teng Bai cast a shadow on this smile.Probably compared to myself, the guy in front of me is the one who is really crazy.

……

”New Human Alliance?” You Yisi returned to class, and heard the students discussing a new news, ”What kind of organization is this?”

”I heard that it was originally a charitable organization that took in post-war refugees and paid attention to post-war trauma. However, in recent years, this organization’s approach has become a little radical. They even put forward the idea that human beings are evolving for the second time.” Isolde gave he explained.

”Second evolution?”

”Less than 1000 years ago, human beings experienced the first major evolution, which made supernatural powers popular. But what few people know is that in that evolution, human beings who could not withstand the transformation of supernatural powers either died early or died prematurely. Were eliminated during reproduction and failed to leave offspring. This also led to the surviving humans being born with supernatural powers after several generations of reproduction. The second evolution advocated by the New Human Alliance is to let humans go through another screening, Pick out the genetically good and weed out the incompetent. They say that’s the trend of history.”

What a fascist! You Yisi said silently in his heart.

”Does this organization have many supporters?” he asked.

”How is it possible!” Shen Yanwen said, ”It’s fine if this lunatic-like organization is not exterminated as a cult, how many supporters do you want to have?”

Isolde said: ”But their views are also supported by quite a few people. I heard that the New Human Alliance believes that only those who have undergone evolutionary training are the inheritors of the new genes. They will have stronger abilities and more The perfect physical appearance is far beyond that of ordinary people. Rebirth from the ashes is what they call the second evolutionary.”

You Yimi had a bad feeling, ”It sounds like—”

”It’s very similar to Senior Brother Youyanzhi, right?” Isolde said, ”In private, some members of the New Humanity Alliance regard Youyanzhi as the holy son. I don’t think this has been approved by him.”

Nonsense, no matter how different You Yanzhi is from the mortal world, he is not willing to be regarded as the holy son by a cult, okay? You Yisi thought sullenly, ”What kind of new alliance is this, why has it become popular again recently?”

Shen Yanwen and Isolde glanced at each other.

”do not you know?”

”I was busy preparing for the trial before, so I didn’t pay much attention to the outside news. What’s wrong?” You Yisi asked, looking at the hesitant expressions of the two.

”This, it’s like this, don’t take it seriously. Didn’t you find Mu Fan all this time? The people in this organization just let it go, saying that Mu Fan is in their hands, in order to blackmail the empire.” Shen Yanwen saw Yisi’s complexion. After a big change, he quickly said, ”Of course it must be fake! Mu Fan is also a whale shark, how could he fall into the hands of this heretical organization.”

You Yimi: ”...”

”Although His Highness acts strangely, he is not impulsive and reckless, and will never easily fall into the hands of others.” Isolde also comforted him.

However, no matter what they say, Masami always has an uneasy sixth sense. If Mu Fan is really okay, why there is no news until now?If something happened to him, the empire would not let him suffer. But no matter what he thought, he felt that these things were not his turn to worry about.

however……

【Look at me, remember me. 】

You Yisi froze, desperately trying to shake the words that always lingered out of his mind. That guy Mu Fan is really cunning, he owed him a favor this time, and he will never forget it in eight hundred lifetimes.I really hope that this guy will be found soon, You Yisi thought, so that he doesn’t have to keep thinking about it.

However, he never dreamed that when the two met again, it would be such a scene.
