Chapter 28 Accompanying the little girl

Unable to get through Zhang Meng’s phone call, Xu Yi had no choice but to give up and hurried to the police station.

After arriving at the police station, Xu Yi held the little girl in his arms, seeing the busy state of the police station, it seemed that there was someone in front of each police officer who was saying this and filling in the information, so she waited aside.

At this time, a female police officer came out from the inside, saw Xu Yi and the little girl, came over and asked.

”Sir, do you need any help?”

”Hello, officer, I’m here to report the crime. I have a little girl who got lost here.”

”In this case, sir, please fill in the information.”

”Oh well.”

I wrote down my contact information and name, and after the female police officer took it and read it, I started to inquire.

”May I ask where you picked up this little girl?”

”It’s in my shop.”

……

The policewoman asked Xu Yi while recording, and after confirming that the contact information and name were correct, she said with a smile.

”This information has been recorded in the file. Thanks to this enthusiastic gentleman for sending the little girl here. After investigation, our branch office has not received any report from the little girl’s parents.”

”Notifications have been sent to other precincts, and if her parents report the crime, we will inform this precinct.”

”Thank you, officer, then I’ll go back first.”

Xu Yi stood up as she spoke, and when she was about to leave, she found that the hem of her clothes was being held in the palm of her hand by the little girl.

”What’s wrong with you, are you afraid?”

”Well, don’t be afraid. There are police uncles and police sisters here. They can help you find your parents.”

The little girl shook her head, just holding on to Xu Yi’s clothes.

Although she still had a calm face and a calm little face, Xu Yi seemed to be able to see the word fear from her expression.

”Oh, this is troublesome.”

Xu Yi sighed, at this moment, he couldn’t bear to insist on walking any longer.

”Officer, I don’t know if I can wait here, just wait until you get off work.”

Xu Yi decided that he would accompany the little girl until the police station got off work.

If the little girl’s parents haven’t arrived after get off work, then the little girl has to stay at the police station,

”This is also possible. There is a lounge over there, and you can wait there.”

The female police officer pointed to an open door.

”Well, thank you, it’s really troublesome.”

Xu Yi carried the little girl to the lounge, and the hem of his clothes was still held in the little girl’s hands.

”I’ve called 3 times. Why didn’t Mengzi answer the phone? Could it be that he’s on a date?”

I wanted to call Zhang Meng to tell Zhang Meng that he couldn’t leave at the police station, but after calling three times, he still couldn’t get through.

”There are still a few hours before the police uncles get off work, so I can only stay here with you. I hope your parents will report the case to the nearby police station.”

Xu Yi looked at the quiet little girl talking.

If it was really time for the police station to get off work, and if the little girl’s parents hadn’t come, Xu Yi should go back, after all, he couldn’t take the little girl home.

First of all, he and the little girl are strangers, and secondly, it is not convenient for him to be a big man with a little girl.

Put the child in the police station, and a female police officer will take care of it.Compared with Xu Yi who is a big man, a female police officer is more suitable to take care of this little girl.

”Do you like watching cartoons? A square yellow sponge or a pig? Am I a sheep? I don’t like this either. What about this robot?”

Xu Yi opened the webpage function on her phone and searched for several cartoon videos.

Funny little square sponges, cute pink pigs, and naughty lambs who love to tease wolves, choose one by one. When the little girl sees a cartoon she doesn’t like very much, she shakes her head until Xuyi puts a group of little robots It was only when she nodded, it seemed that she liked those adventurous robots.

”Sir, we are receiving another sub-bureau, and there is a call from someone reporting the loss of a little girl.”

There was still half an hour before get off work, and Xu Yi’s phone was about to turn off due to low battery.

The female police officer who had questioned him came over and said that she might have received a report from the little girl’s parents.

Xu Yi heaved a sigh of relief, half of his leisurely heart let go.

”Thank you officer.”

”You’re welcome, to serve the people, we have already notified the person who made the report, and they will be here in five minutes.”

”Ah, okay.”

Through the friendship of watching cartoons all afternoon, Xu Yi quite likes little girls, and won’t cry endlessly. He doesn’t yell when he’s scared.

”You are so good. I don’t know how your parents raised you.”

Gently stroking the top of the little girl’s head, Xu Yi sighed with emotion.

”Your parents are coming, are you happy?”

”...”

The little girl lowered her head, as if she was not in a happy mood.

”Ran Ran.”

Within a few minutes, people who seemed to be the little girl’s parents really came over. One of the women walked towards this side, calling the little girl’s name in a leisurely manner.

What surprised Xu Yi was that the little girl was not excited when she saw the woman, let alone opened her mouth.

”Hello, Mr. Xu, my surname is Shen. Thank you for your help today, so that we can find Ranran.”

The man said politely to Xu Yi.

”You’re welcome, it’s my job.”

Regarding the serious appearance of the man, Xu Yi replied politely.

For this pair of parents, the girl was not very excited when she saw her child for the first time, while the boy was polite to him at first and did not look at the little girl.

But looking at their well-dressed clothes, Xu Yi guessed that this was probably the cultivation of rich people.

”Then see you later.”

Now that the little girl’s parents have already been met, there is nothing left to promise, and I will go back after saying goodbye.

”Goodbye, my family has caused trouble to Mr. Xu today.”

After saying goodbye to the little girl who was reluctant but still standing beside the couple, Xu Yi went back to the shop.

……

”Big boss, the second boss is back.”

Hearing the report from the front desk that Zhang Meng had returned, Xu went to Zhang Meng with itchy teeth.

”You kid, no one answered my phone no matter how many times I called you.”

Seeing Zhang Meng who was motionless on the sofa, Xu Yi walked over and punched him.

”Old Xu...”

Zhang Meng’s voice was hoarse, and he looked very depressed.

”Mengzi, what’s wrong with you?”

Feeling something was wrong with Zhang Meng, Xu Yi didn’t care to get angry anymore, and sat aside to ask him.

”Tell me, why did those relatives look so amiable when my parents were there, but after my parents left, their faces were so distorted.”

Unlike the usual smiling face, Zhang Meng’s face at this time is a little more sad, and a little disappointed with his relatives.

”Probably because they like to bully children without parents, and money is touching.”

Xu Yi patted Zhang Meng’s shoulder, and fell into the memories of the past for a moment.

This year was so busy that I almost forgot that both he and Zhang Meng had no family.
