Chapter 39 Infected Nest

Chapter 39 Infected Nest

Zhang Cheng didn’t look carefully at passerby A: ”What? Bro, you’ve entered the center of the forest? I’ve only been to the middle of the forest once, and now I don’t dare to go again...”

”I have been to the center of the green forest once, and I was chased in by wild monsters. I was killed by the wild monsters as soon as I entered the center of the forest.”

”Brother Armstrong, don’t be so secretive, tell me what you saw in the center of the forest?”

”I guess there is a special boss? Or some kind of treasure chest?”

A lot of people talked about it, and those messages asking for help and team formation information were instantly brushed down.

After waiting for the discussion in the channel to heat up, Armstrong finally came out to speak.

[Armstrong]: ”Neither! I found a nest of infected people in the center of the forest!”

Armstrong’s next message was answered quickly: ”Do you know the lair of the infected? This is the place where the main plot is triggered! There are things closely related to our human camp and the infected camp!”

Zhang Chengcheng was just browsing casually, but he was suddenly attracted when he saw this place.

Human beings now live in the survivor camps, which is where the human camp stands, survives and reproduces.

The infected person’s lair is the place where infected creatures live and reproduce, which is equivalent to the survivor’s camp for survivors.

The people living in the lair of the infected are not cannon fodder. There is the core management of the infected camp inside.

Players haven’t seen the main plot of the game yet, they only know to collect various resources every day, as if survival is the main theme of everything.

In fact, Zhang Cheng knew in his heart that no matter how the players develop, they will eventually face a common task - a decisive battle against the infected camp.

The infected camp will gradually become stronger and stronger, lurking secretly and spying on the survivor camp. Sooner or later, they will show their fangs to the survivors.

Destroying the infected lair is an important measure for survivors to defeat the infected camp.

Each resource map is a battleground between the survivor camp and the infected creature camp, because it involves the resources and space of the entire map.

Each resource map will have at least one infected lair, as long as the infected lair is destroyed, it is equivalent to occupying this map.

If Zhang Cheng destroys the infected lair in the green forest now, there will be no more infected monsters in the entire green forest, and players can safely and boldly collect various resources in the forest.

Of course, wild animal monsters will still be refreshed, and players can obtain monster resources from wild wolves and the like.

On the contrary, if the strength of the Infector’s Lair in the Green Forest continues to expand, the infected in the entire Green Forest will multiply and grow wildly, and once the player enters it, they will be besieged.

Moreover, all survivor forces will be expelled, and the helicopter entrances and exits will of course be destroyed. Players can only rush to the green forest by themselves.

It is obviously difficult to mine the various material resources that players need, and they can only buy materials in the forest sold by players in other areas from the trading bank.

Therefore, every time a map is taken away by the infected camp, it will bring more survival pressure to all survivors. After all, it is equivalent to reducing a large part of the material output.

Zhang Cheng is well aware of the importance of the infected people’s lair to the infected creatures, and those infected creatures will get an unparalleled astonishing speed of improvement in the infected lair.

Therefore, the sooner the infected lairs are eliminated, the better!
Since re-entering the game this life, the distribution of infected camps has also become different.

Not only are the infected creatures not familiar, but the location of the infected’s lair is also different.

Zhang Cheng had previously visited the location of the infected lair in the Green Forest in his previous life, but found no trace of it.

Only then did Zhang Cheng realize that this was no longer the original battlefield, and what greeted him were brand new challenges and battles he had never experienced before.

……

Armstrong sent a team request in the chat channel, hoping to find someone to explore the infected lair together.

Zhang Cheng knew that the lair of the infected was extremely dangerous, and he wanted to remind him, but he still didn’t say it in the end.

Man made money and birds died for food. Armstrong had already died once in the lair of the infected, but he still insisted on going, and even wanted to bring his teammates to go with him. Even Zhang Cheng’s warning would not be effective.

Moreover, Zhang Cheng was not sure what was going on in the current infected nest, so it would be good for Armstrong and others to go and explore first.

After knowing the danger, the players naturally dare not act rashly anymore.

Armstrong quickly gathered a group of players with decent combat effectiveness in the regional channel, and agreed to go to the infected lair to hunt for treasure today.

Zhang Cheng thought to himself, the discovery of the lair of the infected is undoubtedly a good thing, at least he doesn’t need to look for it anymore.

But it’s not a good thing if the players lose too much in the infected lair.

”Forget it, I can’t control so much...Huh? Who is sending me messages?”

Zhang Cheng suddenly received a private message to chat, and usually only a few game friends would chat with him in private.

Zhang Cheng opened the private message and saw that it was Ah Hao.

Ah Hao: ”Brother Cheng, we opened the first round of hidden treasure boxes this morning. We took all four boxes, and we opened the chain mezzanine in one of the boxes.”

”Brother Cheng, don’t you just need a chain interlayer, and this chain interlayer is just for you.”

Then Zhang Cheng received a system prompt:
[Your friend ’Good Husband’ gave you an item, do you want to check it? 】

Zhang Cheng clicked to check, and it really was a chain interlayer.

The chain interlayer is one of the accessories of the armor. Zhang Cheng now has three weapon accessories and two armor accessories, and only the last armor accessory is needed.

Zhang Cheng knew that Ah Hao and the others must also need armor accessories, but they always felt that if Zhang Cheng hadn’t told them how to open the treasure chest, they might not even be able to open a treasure chest, so they wanted to keep the chain interlayer. To Zhang Cheng.

After Zhang Cheng figured it out, he didn’t hesitate and accepted the items happily.

【Acquire Chain Mezzanine*1】

[Chain interlayer, level 1, damage reduction +1%]

Zhang Cheng can now be regarded as able to resist and fight, with both output and frankness, so most of the time he can go out alone.

For other players, they will still choose the way of multiplayer teaming to improve security.

The helicopter slowly landed on the ground, and Zhang Cheng arrived at his destination-Wushan Mine.

After jumping off the helicopter, Zhang Cheng’s feet landed on the ground, and he felt the surrounding environment was a bit cold.

Zhang Cheng discarded the unused low-level collection pick, and now he is holding a brand new intermediate collection pick.

Before setting off, Zhang Cheng had sorted out the materials that needed to be mined this time in his mind, so he immediately found a direction to move forward, looking for resource points to mine resources.
