Chapter 12 Treasure Chests and Guardian Monsters

Chapter 12 Treasure Chests and Guardian Monsters

The helicopter soon arrived at the entrance, and Zhang Cheng got off the helicopter.

The level of wild monsters in the depths of the green forest is higher than that in the periphery. Although Zhang Cheng has uzi output, his armor and blood volume have not yet increased. If he is not careful, there is a great risk of being attacked by surprise.

Zhang Cheng didn’t run at full speed, but carefully watched his footsteps, tried not to make too much noise, and walked forward at a constant speed.

Not long after, a temporary camp appeared in front of Zhang Cheng. There were some iron fences around the camp, and there were bonfires and tents in the middle.

Zhang Cheng’s destination has arrived. This is a camp of the federal garrison.

After showing his survivor number, Zhang Cheng entered the camp smoothly.

Zhang Cheng walked straight into the largest tent in the camp. Inside was the supreme commander of the garrison and an NPC who could issue missions.

There will be some fixed federal garrison points in the field map, and map assistance tasks will be issued to players in such places.

Players who assist the federal garrison will receive a lot of rewards after completing the task, and there is a limit to the number of assistance tasks that can be accepted every day.

Zhang Cheng stepped forward to trigger the dialogue and received three assistance missions from the commander.

[Aid Mission 1: There was an accident in the food supply of the garrison. Survivors are asked to help the garrison collect berries*10. Task reward: Gathering experience points*1000]

[Aid mission 2: Help the garrison make straps*4.Task reward: production experience *1000]

[Aid mission 3: Help the garrison kill the infected people around*4.Mission reward: battle experience *1000]

[After completing all assistance missions, survivors will receive an additional reward: 500 alliance points]

After receiving the mission, Zhang Cheng left the station and headed north of the station.

Sometimes you can encounter resource boxes in the wild, and players can get random resources after opening the resource boxes, but generally the number is not much.

If the resource box is better than nothing, then there is another kind of treasure box that Zhang Cheng is bound to get, that is, the special treasure box.

Rare props can be found in special treasure chests, such as formula fragments, seeds, reinforcement materials, semi-finished products, etc., but the number of special treasure chests is also extremely rare.

Special treasure chests are often refreshed in fixed places. A map like Shade Forest has a total of six special treasure chests, which means there are six refresh points.

Every special treasure chest will be refreshed again after two hours after being opened by the player.

Each area initially accommodates [-] players. Although they may not all be on the same map, with so many players grabbing a few special treasure chests, one can imagine the extent to which there are more monks and less meat.

Zhang Cheng can only open as many special treasure chests as possible while other players have not found them yet. From now on, at almost every refresh point, players can be seen silently guarding the treasure chests to refresh.

One of the special treasure chest refresh points is not too far from Zhang Cheng’s location. Zhang Cheng is moving towards that refresh point while completing the map assistance task.

Because it is a novice map, the three assistance missions are not difficult at all. Needless to say, collecting berries, Zhang Chenggong has completed the mission after a while.

[Collecting berries*10 has been achieved, and the collection experience value*1000 has been obtained]

Zhang Cheng looked at the level panel. The collection level was only 300 experience points away from the third level, and he could upgrade after cutting down trees for a while.

There happened to be two resource trees next to them. Zhang Cheng cut them down, and then dug a few resource mines, raising the collection to level three.

Continue to allocate attribute points to the speed of wood resource collection, and at the same time, the third-level collection also unlocks a new skill.

At this time, Zhang Cheng’s collection speed is obviously much faster than other players, level bonus, collection wristband bonus, good satiety bonus...

High efficiency will save Zhang Cheng a lot of time, allowing him to obtain more resources and experience points in a short period of time.

Level [-] collection has an additional upgradeable skill called [Collection Enhancement].

[Collection enhancement, active skill, after using it, the player’s collection experience value will be doubled within 10 minutes, and the cooling time is 12 hours] (upgrade requires 500 alliance points)

In the game, the level and strength are the fundamentals. It is easy to make money when the level is high. In addition, this skill is not expensive, so Zhang Cheng upgraded it.

After the upgrade, Zhang Chengdang even turned on the active effect of collection enhancement, and then began to concentrate on collecting resources.

Half an hour later, Zhang Cheng’s backpack was filled with various resources again, and the time limit for collection enhancements had passed.

”In half an hour, I gained more than 1000 collection experience points, which is not bad.”

Zhang Cheng was quite satisfied with the results of the half-hour, but unfortunately, the cooldown time for collection enhancement was a bit long, it took a full twelve hours.

Zhang Cheng purposely approached the refresh point of the special treasure chest while collecting for half an hour, and the refresh point was already less than [-] meters away.

Zhang Cheng switched the pickaxe in his hand to uzi, and after checking the ammunition reserves of uzi, Zhang Cheng moved forward slowly.

The special treasure chests are not only rare in number, but there are also guardian monsters next to the treasure chests that will be refreshed along with the treasure chests.

Guardian monsters are often boss-level infected bodies, and their strength is much higher than that of ordinary infected people.

The closer Zhang Cheng got to the treasure chest refresh point, the more he lowered his footsteps. He couldn’t let the guardian monsters find him in advance.

It’s close.

Zhang Cheng hid behind a boulder and quietly looked at the scene ahead.

Lying quietly on the ground was a treasure chest glowing with pale golden light, and what couldn’t be ignored was a big guy that kept shaking next to the treasure chest.

[Mutated werewolf, level? ? ? , HP? ? ? 】

Judging from the information feedback, the level of the mutant werewolf was higher than his own, so he could only see three question marks.

But it’s not a big problem. When Zhang Cheng attacked the mutant werewolf, he could naturally see its blood volume.

The mutated werewolf gave people a strong sense of oppression, with a height of nearly three meters, a sturdy body, and lumps of muscle bumps on the arms.

Covered in gray-black hair, its fangs and claws are powerful weapons.

Zhang Cheng felt that with his blood volume of a hundred points, he might die if he couldn’t withstand two blows from the werewolf.

So Zhang Cheng must make a quick decision!

Quietly took out the armor-piercing ammunition box from the backpack, Zhang Cheng uzi filled the armor-piercing ammunition with two clips.

Forty rounds of armor-piercing bullets in two magazines should be enough to kill the mutant werewolf.

The use of armor-piercing bullets is also for the sake of safety. The armor of werewolves is definitely higher than that of ordinary infected people. Uzi attack power is not high, so armor-piercing is necessary.

The formula for armor damage reduction in the game: damage reduction = armor value/(armor value + 50).
For example, Zhang Cheng now has 5 armor points, so when he takes damage, the damage he can reduce is 5/55, which is about 9% damage reduction.

After preparing the armor-piercing ammunition, Zhang Cheng clenched his uzi tightly, and slowly pointed the gun at the mutant werewolf wandering in place.
