Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 992: Future Development Goals: To be a sensation for four or five decades and empty the system!

After the party ended, Xiao He saw off each of his friends who had come to attend.

In the end, only members of the production crew and Dai Bai remained.

The crew members voluntarily stayed behind to clean up the mess and then rode back to the hotel together. Dai Bai stayed behind alone because he had company matters to discuss with Xiao He.

-

Although he was happy to attend the party and drank quite a bit of alcohol, Xiao He currently doesnʼt have the problem of being unable to hold his liquor. So, as soon as he sat down, he regained his sobriety and listened attentively to Dai Bai talking about some recent events at Guang Technology.

Recently, thanks to its performance on the Spring Festival Gala, Fusheng Technology has gained widespread fame, and its AI-assisted Xiaohei system has once again come into the public eye, demonstrating its capabilities.

As a result, HeGuang Technology has become a hot commodity in the tech industry, and many people are paying attention to their next move.

However, their boss, Xiao He, is high-profile, and ”Time and Space Standoff” has raked in huge box office revenue both at home and abroad. But the company behind it, He Guang Technology, is unusually low-key and has hardly made any moves.

This has left many people both hopeful and disappointed, wondering what Heguang Technology and Xiao He are thinking. Why arenʼt they taking advantage of this hype to maintain their success? It will be much harder to recover once the hype fades.

What they donʼt know is that Heguang Technology is also facing difficulties right now!

Because Xiaohei AI was recruited, most of their research team was also taken away!

So on the surface, HeGuang Technology is thriving and has a promising future, but in reality, the remaining employees at HeGuang Technologyʼs headquarters are all in the economic and logistics departments. The core researchers and the core computer room are no longer in the building.

What else can we do?

I guess Iʼll just have to keep a low profile. After all, serving the country is the same as making money and serving the people, isnʼt it?

Thatʼs a good thing!

This time, however, Dai Bai stayed behind to talk to Xiao He alone not about these issues, but about another major area of AI research and development—

AI-powered crime detection and analysis?

Xiao He was somewhat surprised, a familiar memory flashing through his mind, ”A police officer did mention this idea to me before, but I didnʼt expect the cooperation invitation to come so quickly.”

Previously, because of the AI authentication of ancient artifacts, a police officer named Chen mentioned to him that this ability could be applied to the field of criminal investigation.

At that time, Xiao He had not yet established connections with the authorities, nor did he focus on this aspect. Unexpectedly, so much time has passed in the blink of an eye. Now, as the past is brought up again, Xiao He inexplicably feels a sense of destiny.

”Yes, this project is currently just a preliminary proposal. The most important development direction at present is AI to identify AI and AI to control AI.”

As Dai Bai spoke, he unconsciously pushed up his glasses, his expression serious: ”With the rapid development of AI, there are more and more cases of using AI to commit illegal and criminal acts. If we rely solely on human resources to solve this problem, then in a few years, human identification methods may not be able to keep up with the speed of AI development.”

For example, when AI face-swapping scams first came out a few years ago, they had many bugs. If someone put their hand on the face or turned their head back and forth, the scam would be easily exposed.

However, current AI face-swapping scams are no longer simply about perfectly matching the face; they can even perfectly match and change the clothes on the body without revealing any flaws.

Previously, people could judge the authenticity of an AI-generated image by examining details such as fingers and hair strands. However, todayʼs AI-generated images have reached a level of realism that is indistinguishable from the real thing.

Many malicious crimes are also quietly emerging under this guise.

Therefore, the most urgent task at present is to counter AI-related crimes, strengthen control over this area, raise the threshold for committing crimes, and reduce the proliferation of illegal activities.

As a result, Dai Bai, who was working with research institutes to develop an official government AI system, received such an invitation to cooperate with the police.

When he received the invitation, he immediately thought of Xiao He.

His intuition told him that Xiao He was the most suitable person to ask about this matter.

Sure enough, Xiao He was also very interested in this.

”To be honest, if thatʼs the case, Iʼd actually be interested in helping.”

Xiao He rubbed his temples, suppressing the other strange thoughts in his head, and then said, ”However, Iʼm probably quite busy, so I may not have much time to focus on developing this system, and I also donʼt have the necessary equipment.”

“I know, so I’m planning to go back and bring a few more people over,” Dai Bai said, “in your name.”

Xiao He: ”...What, is my name so useful now?”

He didnʼt attend many research meetings either.

“The main reason is that you’re famous, and Guang Technology is famous too. There’s money to be made, and it’s easy to poach people,” Dai Bai said very sincerely. “Moreover, it seems that Engineer Wang is planning to let me pursue a doctorate, so he recommended a few professors specializing in criminal investigation systems to me. I also want to develop in this field, so I think I should probably discuss this with you.”

In any case, Xiao He is now his boss and also his benefactor.

Therefore, Dai Bai felt that Xiao He was the most qualified to know and offer advice regarding his future development direction.

”I think this is pretty good!”

Xiao He hadnʼt expected that before he could even confirm with the professor, Engineer Wang had already paved the way for Dai Bai...

Who knows, getting a PhD might actually lead to a secure government job.

Moreover, heʼs a highly skilled talent being brought into the criminal investigation system; this kid has a limitless future.

Xiao He was somewhat moved and genuinely happy for Dai Bai: ”I knew you were the best. No wonder youʼre the top student in our year who got all the scholarships, the smartest one!”

Besides his success with the backing of Heguang Technology, Dai Baiʼs network of research contacts built during his university years was also a very important factor.

You have to be really good at it yourself!

”However, if I develop this technology, [N O V E L I G H T] its commercial viability might be affected in the future...”

Dai Bai was still somewhat hesitant.

”It doesnʼt matter! Itʼs all for the people, so it doesnʼt matter how much we earn.”

Xiao He patted him on the shoulder directly, ”Although it sounds strange and you may not understand, I have already achieved my goal of entering the entertainment industry. I am only continuing to work hard now so as not to disappoint others.”

After all, he now has a team, a company, and many fans who love him.

Once youʼre in, you canʼt just leave.

”But I also have some other thoughts in my mind, and I want to do more things while I still have the ability.”

“I hadn’t thought of what to do before, but I really want to thank you, Lao Dai. When you told me about this system, I felt like I had found a new goal to strive for.”

As Xiao He spoke, his gaze, under Dai Baiʼs questioning gaze, also fell upon the void in front of him.

A long string of constantly increasing points appeared before him.

Since confirming that his points were sufficient for his survival and that he didnʼt seem to need them much in his daily life, Xiao He rarely opened the system anymore.

Especially after the grand spectacle of winning a royal garden with a million points, Xiao He didnʼt use it to exchange for anything else.

Until now—

”you say......”

Xiao He, resting his chin on his hand, watched his points, which were skyrocketing every second due to his villainous image becoming a global sensation, and began to ponder a very serious question—

”If I continue to be a sensation for another forty or fifty years at this rate...”

”Would it be possible for me to completely empty all the knowledge in this system in the future?”
