Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 982: Box office is on its way, but merchandise is already a hot seller!

However, many people did not dwell on this issue.

Without a doubt, ”Time and Space Standoff” has already done its best in telling the story within the limited time. The overall quality is quite good, with the special effects being much better than expected. Moreover, the X0010 mecha used by the protagonist Lu An looks really cool in battle. Itʼs suitable for all ages and feels like a great movie to watch with kids during the Spring Festival.

The fact that this mecha design stands out from all of Xiao Huangʼs mecha designs is enough to show that its appearance can bewitch most moviegoers.

Who wouldnʼt want a cool mech that obeys their every command and understands their every thought?

Adults watch for the plot and special effects, while kids watch for the mechs and robots, screaming with excitement at the battles. Isnʼt this how movies should be made during the Spring Festival?

So while some sentimental adults were still pondering how technology would develop in the future, the kids nearby didnʼt care about any of that and just kept clamoring to buy merchandise.

”Iʼm going to buy this model when I get back!”

Su Jiahao started urging Su Jiayue to hurry up almost as soon as the movie ended.

”Sis, sis, letʼs go out and buy it now! Iʼm afraid there will be too many people and we wonʼt be able to get any later.”

Su Jiahao shook his older sister frantically.

”Pee-pee, pee-pee!”

To prevent her younger brother from causing trouble, Su Jiayue quickly grabbed his mouth and said, ”Quiet down! The movie isnʼt over yet. Thereʼs a screening event later. Donʼt disturb others. Weʼll buy you something when we go out.”

A brat who doesnʼt know how to appreciate.

Where are the coolest people in mechs?!

If youʼre going to buy one, you should definitely buy the Killer A mecha model!

This is the model that perfectly suits everyoneʼs aesthetic!

What Su Jiayue didnʼt expect was that the movie merchandise at the event was actually so popular.

When they came out after the event, Su Jiayue found that the giant mecha in the movie theater lobby was surrounded by a huge crowd.

When I came here before the movie started, it wasnʼt that crowded, but I didnʼt expect that the number of people here would double after the movie ended.

This time it really turned into a situation where people were packed together, with everyone stepping on each otherʼs heels.

Following the signs in the lobby toward the surrounding area on the other side, Su Jiayue gasped again.

The surrounding shops, which werenʼt particularly large, were now teeming with people; as far as the eye could see, there wasnʼt a single space to stand.

The sign on the gate displayed the sales information for the movie commemorative merchandise of ”Time Standoff”. There were two different versions and activities. Buying the mecha and the mecha series set separately would enjoy some discounts, while buying the complete mecha and the Mechanical Killer A set would get you additional discounts and a chance to win autographed merchandise.

More detailed information about the event and related merchandise is displayed on the posters next to it, which are densely packed with photos of different models, resembling a large-scale blind box lottery event.

—And most importantly, why does Killer A have to be included in the set and purchased together?!

Even in single-purchase lottery events, itʼs considered a hidden item, making it very difficult to win directly.

Good, good, good, another case of the villain being more popular than the protagonist.

What happened to the promised treatment for the main villain?

Youʼve become a hidden gem?!

However, a few minutes later, Su Jiayue changed her mind and found it delicious.

Because on the other side of the store, at the main entrance, a platform was specially set up to display the movie merchandise models.

Needless to say, the mecha model has a shiny metallic finish, which shows excellent craftsmanship. There are even dark fluorescent currents flowing in the gaps between the joints of the mecha. When viewed under the light, it gives the feeling that the mecha model has a cybernetic life, ready to go at any time, obeying the masterʼs commands, with protecting the master as its primary mission.

On the other hand, Assassin Aʼs design is equally impressive. Because he is in human form, the overall style and details are more refined. His all-black mecha suit is exceptionally eye-catching. However, instead of directly adopting Xiao Heʼs face shape, his head is transformed into a mechanical helmet resembling a mecha superhero, reducing the technical difficulty of refining facial features. Only a pair of relatively familiar eyes are revealed, which can reduce the dissimilarity caused by facial contours and perfectly showcase the characterʼs form.

—More importantly, this helmet part is replaceable!

If you donʼt want to show your eyes, you can cover them up; thatʼs the complete battle form.

This perfectly matches the charactersʼ images in different situations in the movie.

Even in the small red velvet box next to it, there was a separate battle-damaged helmet, covered in silver-blue mechanical ”blood”.

Itʼs absolutely perfect!

Su Jiayue used to think that she would never get into this hobby and couldnʼt understand the boysʼ passion for mecha.

Until now.

Su Jiayue rolled up her sleeves, her eyes blazing with fighting spirit. She patted her little brother and said firmly, ”Donʼt move around here. Iʼm going inside to buy some merchandise.”

Su Jiahao was stunned by his older sisterʼs imposing manner and couldnʼt help but take a step back.

But then he looked at his older sister, then at the shop over there, paused for a moment, swallowed hard, and asked, ”Sis, can you do it?”

Donʼt underestimate me!

Su Jiayue shouted and rushed into the crowd.

More than an hour later, Su Jiayue, who had successfully broken through the battlefield, happily led her little brother out of the nearby shops.

Almost as soon as they stepped out of the store, the store clerks stood on a high place and started shouting loudly: ”All the model kits and merchandise for ʼTime Confrontationʼ have been sold out. There is currently no stock left! Only posters and autographed blind boxes are available, and there are not many left. Please purchase rationally!”

LOL, that last sentence is practically a reverse sprint.

”What? Itʼs already sold out?”

”How come youʼve sold out so quickly with such a small inventory?”

”Are there any other shops nearby? Quick, everyone, move aside and let me out!”

”I want all the remaining merchandise, and the pocket too! Give me the pocket too! I want one too!”

Hearing the wails behind him, Su Jiahao hugged his mecha and gave his sister a thumbs up: ”Sis, youʼre awesome!”

This is my first time following a celebrity, and my motivation is truly impressive.

Unfortunately, there arenʼt many lucky people like the Su siblings.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, ”Time and Space Standoff” topped the box office charts, and movie merchandise distributed in several key cities was snapped up by audiences after watching the film.

Those who managed to snag a ticket started excitedly showing it off, while those who missed out were frantically posting on social media. Seeing these models, even netizens who werenʼt initially interested in the movie had to admit they were captivated by the mechaʼs appearance and couldnʼt resist buying movie tickets to see for themselves.

When Xiao He found out, their online pre-sales for merchandise were already booked for more than half a year in advance.

Xiao He, who just came from the latest event:?

“We have contacted Mr. Huang and decided to temporarily close the pre-sale channel,” Liu Rulan said. “If we continue, Mr. Huang may have to keep the factory running non-stop to produce figurines for the next year.”

—This really means working from day to night, without a momentʼs rest.

Close your eyes again, open them again, and next yearʼs harvest is already full.

Xiao He gasped: ”What did CEO Huang say?”

Huang Junhaoʼs figurine factory wasnʼt doing very well before, but it gradually started to recover after collaborating with ”Time and Space Standoff”.

During this period, he even switched careers and started making props for other film crews.

Itʼs just that perhaps it was another stroke of bad luck for Mr. Huang, as he kept failing in every business he entered. Not long after he switched to making props for film crews, the film and television industry experienced a severe downturn, with AI short dramas impacting the market. Even his prop factory was affected, and business became sluggish again.

In the end, weʼll stick to producing mecha-related figurines and stock up on merchandise for the movie ”Time Warp”.

Thatʼs it?

Even stockpiling goods in advance couldnʼt match a single dayʼs offline sales volume?
