Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 952: Eve Livestream! This year’s game is—

December 31st, New Yearʼs Eve.

Xiao He had already skillfully turned on his live stream camera.

”Good evening, friends. This is your host, Xiao He. Welcome to my channel.”

As Xiao He spoke, he began browsing the Steam platform, trying to find a game suitable for live streaming.

【Wow, Brother Xiao is actually doing a live stream for New Yearʼs Eve? I almost thought I was seeing things.】

【New Yearʼs Eve livestreaming is an old tradition, right? Brother Xiao also did a livestream last year to celebrate the New Year with everyone.】

【Haha, donʼt mention last year! Just thinking about Brother Xiaoʼs livestream of the little black figure stealing diamonds makes me laugh so hard I almost faint.】

【Okay, now that you mention it, I remember too.】

【Pfft, itʼs funny to think about it now. We actually watched the live stream all night. We still have the slides of Xiao Geʼs muscle weakness patient crawling all over the floor. I laugh every time I see them.】

Xiao He glanced at the enthusiastic comments in the live stream and coughed lightly: ”A hero doesnʼt dwell on past glories. I almost got killed by my manager at my doorstep while streaming this game before. Letʼs switch things up.”

”However, it feels like there arenʼt any fun new games in the recent winter sale; theyʼre all older games from before.”

Xiao He considered several popular games and ultimately decided to give them up.

Because of the psychological trauma from the last live stream, Sister Liu gave Xiao He a heads-up beforehand for this live stream.

She clearly explained what types of games were playable and what types of games were not.

This includes games where you play as a thief or a killer.

Oh, right, they also removed all shooting games.

After all, the airport attack that happened some time ago is still being discussed. Liu Rulan is worried that Xiao He playing this kind of game on his live stream might attract some malicious people to stir up trouble.

Well, thereʼs really no way around it. There are just too many sensitive things these days. Liu Rulanʼs extreme caution has also made Xiao He very careful about what he says.

【Xiao He, why donʼt you get your assistants to play that gorilla game? One is deaf, one is blind, and one is mute, working together to defuse a bomb. Lately, these kinds of videos have become a real drag on my watchlist; I have to glance at them every time I pass by.】

【Haha, I know this! The deaf man loudly questions why the others arenʼt speaking, the blind man desperately inquires about the color of the fuse, and only the mute man, who understands everything, is anxiously trying to speak.】

【Haha, oh no, I really want to see this too! Brother Xiao playing this!】

【Watch it now, play it now!】

”Ah, I know that game, but I canʼt get three people together, so I sent them all home, assistant.”

Xiao He glanced at the highly recommended comments on the screen and regretfully rejected their suggestion.

”Playing this kind of game is more fun with people you know well. If you just randomly set up a group, it might not be as entertaining...”

Xiao He was still searching when his phone on the table vibrated.

【Sister Liu: I forgot to remind you, a while ago a game collaborated with Fortuna D.J. 7, and the car your character drives got an exact same skin in the game. If you really canʼt find anything to stream, why not try this?】

Xiao He:! Sister Liu, this is absolutely crucial news!

If thatʼs the case, Xiao He did indeed remember.

After Fortuna D.C. 7 was released worldwide and became a huge hit, the well-known racing game immediately collaborated with the game, adding the latest map and car skins to their latest version.

This race car is, of course, the one that Shan Cheng drove in the finale of Fortuna D.C. 7.

I heard that it gained a lot of popularity among movie fans almost as soon as it was released, and the sales of their game merchandise also skyrocketed.

Itʼs said that even a small, officially licensed collaboration racing car model costs $700, and once it sells out in limited quantities and enters the secondhand market, the price skyrockets to an alarming figure.

Because among these collectors are not only game fans, movie fans, and racing enthusiasts, but also a group of wealthy celebrity fans.

Xiao He had been curious and wanted to buy one as a souvenir, but after discovering the terrifying scale of the scene, he gave up immediately.

Well, anyway, thereʼs a car like the Dancheng racing car parked in the garage of his villa.

Although it wasnʼt the same car used in the original filming, Xiao He later manually replicated it, making it essentially a one-to-one replica.

Others collect small figurines, but I collect large ones, is that okay?

Obviously, bro, no problem!

Xiao He decisively opened ”Deep Blue Speed”: ”Just now my manager reminded me that there was a collaboration between ”Speed 7” and ”Deep Blue Speed”, and it happened to be a new skin for the Dan Cheng racing car - I havenʼt had time to watch it before, so letʼs take a look this time.”

Coincidentally, the gameʼs official team may also be doing this to thank Chinese game fans for their love and support over the years. The map for this collaboration between the well-known racing game ”Deep Blue Speed” and the game is a Chinese racing map called Yizhuang.

This is a racing map created based on the actual GT3 circuit in Kyoto.

The track features numerous Chinese character road signs, Chinese-style lakeside landscapes, and traditional Chinese streetlights, all bearing familiar traces of Chinese culture. While not particularly stunning, itʼs clear that the game developers put a lot of effort into creating this map.

Xiao He didnʼt rush to start the match immediately. Instead, he played a training match first, taking everyone for a leisurely drive so that they could get a feel for the map.

Aside from serious racing game fans, many people were seeing this map for the first time, or even watching a racing game live stream for the first time. They found it all very novel and stopped clamoring for those abstract, low-fat games. Instead, they all followed Xiao Heʼs perspective and strolled around the map of ”Yi Zhuang”.

【To be honest, I havenʼt opened this game in a long time, and I didnʼt expect there to be a collaboration skin. I feel like Iʼve missed out on a lot.】

This map looks so familiar, it feels like coming home.

【Weʼre home, bro! This road looks so familiar! Itʼs right here in our Beijing Science and Technology City! I remember a GT3 race was held here last year, and I didnʼt expect them to release a similar map so quickly. Looks like the game developers are really putting in a lot of effort.】

【This is the first time Iʼve seen a game like this. It feels so realistic; Iʼm tempted to get into it.】

【Friends, be careful! Xiao Geʼs graphics are maxed out. If you donʼt have a good computer at home, I suggest you think twice, otherwise youʼll find that youʼre playing two completely different games with Xiao Ge—both in terms of graphics and gameplay.】

【Haha, so youʼre assuming Brother Xiao is pretty good at games?】

【Um, Brother Xiao already runs a company doing AI research and development. Heʼs so good with computers, he must be pretty good at it, right? And heʼs even won a racing championship! How could a mere game be a challenge for him?】

【But thinking back carefully, Brother Xiao didnʼt even manage to steal the diamonds last time.】

【After all, no one says that knowing computers automatically makes someone a gaming expert, right?】

【Hmm, looking at it this way, the problem does seem to have become more serious.】

Xiao He glanced at the comments that were starting to question his gaming skills and was instantly enraged.

”You guys shouldnʼt worry about it.”

He rolled up his non-existent sleeves to prove that he had entered a state of focus.

”While I might not be a top-tier player, I have at least participated in offline competitions. Online matches are a piece of cake, right?”

【Brother Xiao, please donʼt make any promises now, itʼll remind me of your ”air force” incident.】

【The last time Brother Xiao said something like that, he became a well-known enthusiastic air force enthusiast.】

【Shh, keep it down.】

Xiao He: ”...No, variety shows are all about creating entertainment value. This time, Iʼll guarantee Iʼll break the national record, okay?”

As he spoke, amidst the increasingly skeptical comments in the chat, he pressed the start button for the match.
