Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 971: No, Xiao He, you really have absolutely no talent for naming things...

A few minutes later, the meeting, which was crucial to Linghui Entertainmentʼs future projects, began once again.

This time, however, the manager, who had been visibly angry, spoke much more softly and gently, and seemed to be in a good mood.

What exactly is going on?

Just now, Manager Liu was very angry in the meeting, and you could feel the gloomy atmosphere even through the internet.

Now things are much better.

Just as everyone was wondering what was going on, the same microphone lit up again, and a familiar young manʼs voice came through.

”Sorry, it took me a while to get rid of the paparazzi, so Iʼm back late. Iʼm sorry to have kept you all waiting.”

Upon hearing Xiao Heʼs voice, everyoneʼs hearts, which had been hanging in suspense, suddenly relaxed for some reason.

I felt inexplicably at ease.

”Xiao He, youʼre finally back!”

Sha Ye immediately inquired about the situation, eager for an answer, ”What exactly is going on with this mecha modeling design? I took a look, and youʼre the person mainly in charge of this part. Where did you get the original design drafts for this mecha?”

The others also pricked up their ears, waiting for Xiao Heʼs explanation.

”Hey, this is actually a very simple matter.”

Xiao He paused, then said with a wry smile, ”Is it possible that I am the blogger who won the award overseas?”

”Didnʼt you guys see the original mecha modelerʼs account name? Itʼs called ʼxiaoheiʼ. That name sounds familiar! Thatʼs how I created the Little Black System.”

”Huh?”

”ah?”

When did this happen?

Immediately, everyone in the channel started discussing it at once.

Sha Ye slapped his forehead and raised his voice: ”Oh dear, Iʼm really getting old! I was wondering why you looked so familiar. Didnʼt I see you briefly when you participated in the competition two years ago?”

The mecha model that was used in the competition was actually Xiao Heʼs own modeling practice work, and coincidentally, the teacher who taught Xiao He modeling at that time was Sha Ye himself.

To meet the requirements of the original competition for a dynamic background template, Xiao He revamped the model he had practiced, making it look even better before submitting it to the rendering competition.

Sha Ye should have seen that work, but so much time had passed, and after joining the post-production work of ”Time Confrontation,” he came into contact with many mecha design drafts. In the midst of all this busyness, Sha Ye himself didnʼt even realize it.

Now that Xiao He had mentioned it, he instantly retrieved this crucial information from his mind—

”Oh dear, oh dear, am I really getting old? I almost forgot about this.”

Sha Ye blushed deeply, realizing how terrible his memory was. He had forgotten something so important and had even started to wonder if something had gone wrong with Xiao He—he was truly ashamed.

”So Brother Xiao is ʼxiaoheiʼ? Wait, that doesnʼt make sense. The blogger who came out to accuse us wasnʼt this one.” Some people still didnʼt understand. ”Wasnʼt the blogger who stood up to accuse us of plagiarism a blogger named Viker?”

Immediately, someone explained speechlessly: ”That Viker only said that we plagiarized, but he himself is not the original modeler who was ʼplagiarizedʼ. The blogger who actually participated and won the award is called ʼxiaoheiʼ. He hasnʼt appeared since the controversy broke out. Weʼve been trying to contact him for a long time but havenʼt been able to reach him. It was Viker who was jumping around and making statements the whole time.”

”However, because this Viker has been releasing videos intensively to attack our production team and has joined forces with several other bloggers abroad to speak out, when the news reached China, almost everyone thought he was the victim himself and didnʼt know that he was just a whistleblower.”

With this explanation, others who were not quite clear about the situation on the external network finally understood the situation.

”Ah, so now it seems that ʼxiaoheiʼ is actually Brother Xiao!”

”Hahaha, yeah! Who would have thought! The person who was plagiarized and the plagiarist are the same person. What else is there to say? Are they just joking?”

”What does Viker mean? Is he drunk and acting crazy? Xiaohei himself hasnʼt even said anything yet, but heʼs singing and dancing like that.”

”This isnʼt Viker, itʼs Joker.”

The operations team members all had sharp tongues and a knack for witty remarks. After figuring out the situation, they suddenly felt more confident, and the previously tense atmosphere instantly became cheerful. I donʼt know who said ”joker” first, but from then on, there was no going back.

At this moment, Xiao He also heard the othersʼ complaints and couldnʼt help but twitch the corner of his mouth: ”So it was him!”

Do you know this Viker?

Liu Rulan sat to the side and leaned over to ask in a low voice.

”Of course I know him.”

Xiao He rubbed his temples, feeling utterly ridiculous.

”When I participated in the competition, I donʼt know what this guy was thinking. He suddenly posted a video on the internet saying that my work was made by AI. But at that time, I didnʼt even think about that. I was learning pure hand-crafted modeling techniques. I worked hard to finish the work by staying up several nights in a row. But he just spread rumors with a single word, and it took me a little more time to refute them.”

”The xiaohei account was created around that time and gained a certain number of followers.”

At that time, the news spread back to China and sparked some discussion. However, the impact was not as great as overseas. Many people were just following the gossip from marketing accounts that had been circulated countless times, so they didnʼt get a very comprehensive understanding of the story. Nevertheless, Xiao He still earned the nickname ”Teacher Xiao Hei” because of it.

This was the first time Liu Rulan had heard Xiao He mention this matter.

However, she wasnʼt too surprised. She just looked at Xiao He with a look that said, ”You little rascal, you were indeed using an alternate account behind my back.”

Xiao He shrugged: ”I really didnʼt plan to use the ʼLittle Blackʼ account for long. After this matter was clarified, I basically havenʼt logged into this account again. Even the name was just something I picked randomly.”

”This name definitely sounds very much like your style.”

Liu Rulan glanced at him and complained.

”Itʼs either Little Black, Little White, or just ʼhehehe,ʼ canʼt you find something better?”

Hearing Liu Rulanʼs complaints, Xiao He belatedly realized that he really didnʼt seem to have any talent when it came to naming things.

He could only scratch his head and give an awkward smile: ”You canʼt blame me for that. Besides, my name is already quite obvious! Back then, we werenʼt in the same field, and the Xiaohei AI system hadnʼt officially been released yet. Itʼs understandable that others didnʼt connect us, but now the mecha designs are so similar, and the names almost clearly indicate a connection to Xiaohei. The people behind this havenʼt even realized the seriousness of the problem. They must be blind.”

Xiao He spoke casually, and his microphone was not turned off, so everyone else in the conference channel could hear him.

The channel immediately fell silent again.

Liu Rulanʼs lips twitched.

Is it obvious?

”Isnʼt it obvious?”

”Where is it obvious?!”

”Where is it not obvious?!”

”Alright, now weʼre officially moving into the public relations phase. Please keep quiet for now.”

”Isnʼt Xiao Hei obvious?!?!”
