Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 378: In a Manager’s Eyes, Their Own Artist Always Comes First!

The doctor didnʼt hesitate any longer. He directly opened his bag, pulled out an AED, and began resuscitation efforts.

AED, known as an Automated External Defibrillator, also called an automatic external electric shock device, is a portable medical resuscitation device. It can be used in specific situations to resuscitate patients experiencing cardiac arrest and is a crucial first-aid device during cardiac arrest.

Actually, there have been several similar sudden incidents within the industry before. In those cases, the relevant personnel missed the golden rescue window after such situations arose. These events also served as a wake-up call, prompting many places to start urging that such venues must be equipped with these emergency devices.

For large-scale gala program venues like theirs, the organizers generally arrange for basic doctors and nurses to be stationed on-site to prevent emergencies.

Itʼs just that such sudden dangerous situations are still quite rare, and most donʼt directly threaten life. Who would have thought theyʼd actually encounter one this time!

”Whatʼs all this chaos? Everyone disperse, clear some space!”

A voice came through as a woman hurried over with brisk steps.

It was Liu Rulan, who had been waiting for Xiao He for a long time without him appearing.

Following Liu Rulanʼs words, the Chief Director and Program Director Li Qing also arrived at the scene.

”Did you hear Manager Liu? Hurry up and disperse! Everyone get back to your own tasks! The stage is about to move to the next segment soon, get everything prepared immediately! Donʼt let anything else go wrong!”
The Chief Director immediately urged.

Soon, everyone dispersed and busied themselves with their own work. The doctor also had the AED ready. He glanced at Xiao He and said in a rather gentle tone, ”Youʼve worked hard. Iʼll take over now!”

Actually, it wasnʼt that the doctor was slacking off earlier. It was because he noticed that Xiao Heʼs entire set of actions was extremely standard, and he maintained the same movements and rhythm without any change throughout. So the doctor felt relatively at ease, taking the opportunity to first check Lu Yuxiʼs various data to better implement the resuscitation.

”Alright, Iʼll leave it to you.”

Xiao He decisively replied.

—Although he didnʼt like Lu Yuxi, after all, it was a human life. Xiao He had now done his utmost, playing his greatest role. He could be considered to have done his humane duty.

Thus, Xiao He was finally relieved. Lu Yuxi was formally taken over by the doctor, who began using the AED for resuscitation.

Xiao He finally managed to catch his breath. Liu Rulan walked over and pulled him up from the ground.

”Is your knee alright?”

Liu Rulan asked with concern.

”Iʼm fine, everythingʼs good.”

Xiao He replied.

Liu Rulan looked Xiao He up and down, confirming he was unharmed, then continued asking, ”What exactly happened with this Lu Yuxi?”

Following her question, Li Qing, who was nearby, also walked over, his expression full of inquiry.

So Xiao He told the two of them his speculation.

”Caused by drinking coffee?”

Liu Rulan frowned. Even Li Qing felt a bit of lingering fear. ”This young man is pushing himself too hard.”

Actually, coffee is like alcohol;drinking too much of either isnʼt good. Itʼs just that young people drink more coffee, and their constitutions are generally better, so adverse reactions are less likely.

”Right now, itʼs just my speculation,” Xiao He explained. ”I get the feeling Lu Yuxi is a chronic night owl. His own daily routine is already chaotic, and he often consumes excessive caffeine regularly. That state itself is already walking on the edge of danger.”

Staying up late + excessive caffeine + intense exercise. Buffs fully stacked.

Once this powder keg exploded, the fact that Lu Yuxi could wake up was already a miracle. He should be thanking Xiao He and the others for their timely first aid, and also that heʼs still relatively young, his foundation barely holding up.

”Now we can only hope heʼs alright.”

Liu Rulan rubbed her temples with a headache, then continued asking, ”What was his situation on stage? Was he already unwell before going on?”

”I didnʼt pay attention to that,” Xiao He shrugged. ”He suddenly collapsed when he was coming off stage. During his performance on stage, I didnʼt notice any signs of discomfort.”

Actually, sometimes these things are truly sudden, especially after intense exercise. A person might be lively and energetic one second, then collapse unconscious the next. This stuff really depends on fate.

”This complicates things.”

Liu Rulan murmured.

”Whatʼs wrong?” Xiao He asked, puzzled. ”Lu Yuxiʼs accident doesnʼt seem to have much to do with us, right? The fact that he managed to keep his life is already thanks to his good luck.”

”Nothing, maybe Iʼm worrying too much.”

Liu Rulan looked around left and right. ”Whereʼs Lu Yuxiʼs agent?”

With such a major incident happening, Lu Yuxiʼs agent was still nowhere to be found.

Li Qing also looked around, somewhat confused. ”His agent was still there before they came off stage. How did she disappear in the blink of an eye?”

Both he and the Chief Director had already rushed over from the main control booth. Logically, Lu Yuxiʼs agent should have arrived by now...

”Whatʼs going on?”

Just as the few of them were still puzzled, Lu Yuxiʼs agent finally arrived.

Lu Yuxiʼs agent was a woman of average build, wearing a dark blue womenʼs suit with ear-length short hair. Her overall attire and style somewhat resembled that of a micro-entrepreneurial businesswoman. Of course, it wasnʼt that Xiao He was stereotyping;itʼs just that the other person genuinely had that strong ”success philosophy” aura about her, making people immediately associate her with that image upon first glance, feeling it was very fitting.

However, what made people inwardly mutter the most was that when the other party walked over, she first glanced at Liu Rulan, then at Xiao He and Li Qing, and only finally let her gaze fall upon Lu Yuxi lying on the ground over there.

How to describe that feeling?

For example, just now, when such a major incident happened, Liu Rulan, as Xiao Heʼs agent, came over and first inquired about Xiao Heʼs condition, then asked about Lu Yuxiʼs situation. This is the core quality she should possess as an agent—no matter what happens, her own artist is the most important, with others coming last.

But quite clearly, in the attention priority of this agent who just walked in, Lu Yuxi was actually ranked last.

After all, Xiao He and the others were currently in a corner, while there were more people gathered around Lu Yuxi. Even if the other agent was old and dim-sighted, she wouldnʼt observe them first before locating her own artistʼs position.

This subconscious action could only indicate that in this agentʼs heart, Lu Yuxi wasnʼt that important.

”Agent Lu, youʼre here. Hurry up and tell the doctor about Lu Yuxiʼs recent diet.”

The Chief Director, as if grasping a lifeline, immediately called out to her.

The doctor was asking about medical history, bad habits, and daily diet. He really couldnʼt answer those questions!

The person who knew the situation had finally arrived.

Xiao He, meanwhile, keenly caught the surname ”Lu.”

”Same surname Lu?”

He looked at Liu Rulan.

”Mhm, relatives.”

Liu Rulan lowered her voice to respond to Xiao He.

Xiao He fell into brief silence.

Since they were still relatives, the other partyʼs indifferent attitude was truly chilling.

However, without knowing the full picture, Xiao He didnʼt say anything more.

”Has an ambulance been called?”

Lu Yu walked over, swept a glance at the situation of the person on the ground, her attitude indeed abnormally cold. She didnʼt go up to communicate with the doctor either, but instead first asked the Chief Director.

The Chief Director almost couldnʼt resist rolling his eyes. ”Called, called long ago! If we waited for you, the opportunity would be long gone! Now just answer the doctor: what is Lu Yuxiʼs usual physical condition? Does he have smoking or drinking habits? Any other physical illnesses...”

”Oh.”

Only then did Lu Yu respond, going over to squat down and talk to the doctor.

Seeing this scene, Xiao He and the others all shook their heads inwardly.

Not long after Lu Yu arrived, the ambulance also came.

Watching Lu Yuxi being wheeled onto the ambulance, Xiao He let out a long sigh.

”Ah.”

What a mess all this is!
