Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 368: Xie Jingshi and Lu Yuxi in the Middle of a Hot Dance Rehearsal…

The next day.

Xiao He arrived at the practice room bright and early.

Perhaps because it was still quite early, the other performers who were supposed to be on stage with Xiao He hadnʼt arrived yet. So, Xiao He simply started by reviewing what he learned yesterday in front of the mirror to solidify his memory.

Not long after, another artist arrived.

His attire was quite similar to Xiao Heʼs: a loose gray sweatshirt, wide-leg jeans. The whole outfit really did look like that of a university student coming to class, and he even had a headset on.

Seeing Xiao He, he was momentarily stunned, then a smile appeared on his face. As he took off his headset, he walked up to Xiao He confidently, extended his hand, and said, ”Xiao He, good morning! Come to think of it, this is our first time meeting, right?”

Xiao He also extended his hand, a smile on his face. ”Seems like it really is! We both acted in the same movie, but it seems we really havenʼt met before!”

The person in front of him was called Xie Jingshi, who played the protagonist Lu Xiaokong in ”The Phantom Thief Alliance”!

Previously, Xiao Heʼs hacker role in ”The Phantom Thief Alliance” was basically squeezed in during the post-production stage. By that time, Xie Jingshi and the others had long finished filming. So, even though both of them acted in ”The Phantom Thief Alliance” and even had brief conversational exchanges in the plot, the actors themselves had actually never met.

But even if they didnʼt meet now, before long, when Xiao He joined the production team for ”The Phantom Thief Alliance 2,” they would officially meet again.
Sure enough, Xie Jingshi was also saying, ”That really is a special kind of fate! Iʼve been wanting to connect with Teacher Xiao for a while. I originally thought Iʼd have to wait until ʼPhantom Thief 2,ʼ but I didnʼt expect us to meet ahead of schedule this time.”

This Xie Jingshi could be considered one of the regular actors in Zhuang Hongyiʼs movies. The box office success of ”The Phantom Thief Alliance” also added a significant achievement to his professional resume. However, he himself seemed to prefer roles in more artistic, literary films. So, apart from the somewhat comedic role of Lu Xiaokong in ”The Phantom Thief Alliance,” most of his other roles were more deep and introverted characters.

But his own personality was somewhat similar to Lu Xiaokongʼs, steady with a touch of youthful liveliness. He got along well with Xiao He.

The two chatted casually for a while, then the conversation turned to ”The Phantom Thief Alliance 2.”

”Have you read the script? We might have to go abroad to film for a period of time then,” Xie Jingshi said.

Xiao He looked somewhat embarrassed. ”I havenʼt had the chance to look at it yet.”

Anyway, filming would be after the Spring Festival, and he was already confirmed to be participating. The character setting would follow the first movieʼs, and he could look at the plot details later.

Xie Jingshi could understand, so he proactively shared what he roughly knew with Xiao He. ”The main setting for ʼThe Phantom Thief Alliance 2ʼ takes place in France. Given Director Zhuangʼs personality, weʼll definitely have a large portion of our scenes shot in France. Your team can start preparing in advance.”

Xiao He nodded. ”Okay, thanks.”

Actually, there wasnʼt much to prepare. It was just that the filming schedule for ”The Phantom Thief Alliance 2” would likely overlap with that of ”Fast Speed Shadow 7.” Xiao He might end up staying abroad for quite a long time again.

His domestic fans would once again have to wait for updates from his overseas activities.

Xiao He sighed.

When he got busy, he really was away from home a lot.

Just as Xiao He and Xie Jingshi were chatting, Wen Huiyan also walked in.

Looking at Xiao He and Xie Jingshi in the practice room, she furrowed her brows slightly and glanced at the time on her watch.

There were only five minutes left until the agreed-upon class time.

However, the other artist still hadnʼt arrived at the scene.

Thinking about that artistʼs diva-like behavior, Wen Huiyan took a deep breath. ”You two start warming up, do some stretches. Weʼll wait for him for five minutes. If he doesnʼt come, weʼll start the class directly.”

”Okay.”

Xiao He and Xie Jingshi responded together, each taking their positions to start their warm-up exercises.

However, Xiao He mentally reviewed the situation of this latecomer.

Come to think of it, this one was also an acquaintance.

Previously, during the script reading for ”Corner Also,” the tardy queen Yuan Sitong arrived fashionably late but narrowly escaped trouble by arriving exactly on time. But the other tardy king, Lu Yuxi, wasnʼt so lucky.

That guy happened to run right into Zhuang Hongyiʼs line of fire and was directly kicked off the production team by Zhuang Hongyi, causing quite a stir.

Xiao He had actually completely forgotten about this incident. If Liu Rulan hadnʼt reminded him, Xiao He would have probably forgotten all about this person.

And now, with Lu Yuxi being late for rehearsal again, Xiao Heʼs negative impression of this guy was further reinforced.

To be honest, Xiao He had no idea what the organizers were thinking. Two actors, one idol... the three of them were supposedly connected, but there wasnʼt much of a real connection, and they genuinely werenʼt very familiar. Xiao He felt like they were just scraped together and awkwardly grouped at the last minute.

But for a performance at a rather low-stakes gala, Xiao He was perfectly fine with it. He didnʼt really care who he shared the stage with.

As the saying goes, under the spotlight, whoever makes a fool of themselves is the one who ends up embarrassed.

Anyway, the whole thing was just three minutes. The total time theyʼd even spend together might not even reach three hours. And they could still earn a hefty appearance fee from the deep-pocketed sponsor, Peach. It was totally worth it!

So, Xiao He focused wholeheartedly, seriously rehearsing with Wen Huiyan, completely unconcerned about whether Lu Yuxi was absent from this practice session.

Several hours later, when Lu Yuxi finally sauntered into the scene, only Wen Huiyan remained in the practice room.

By now, even Wen Huiyan was packing up her things. If Lu Yuxi had arrived a few minutes later, she would probably have already left.

When she saw Lu Yuxi, her expression was extremely cold. She didnʼt even offer a greeting.

”Where are the others?”

Seeing the empty practice room, Lu Yuxiʼs mind went blank for a moment.

”After rehearsal, they naturally left,” Wen Huiyan said, glancing at the time again. ”If you had been a few minutes later, I would have been off work too.”

Lu Yuxi felt somewhat embarrassed and couldnʼt help complaining, ”Why didnʼt you guys wait for me?”

Wen Huiyan: ?

Are you even listening to the nonsense youʼre spouting?

”So, now that theyʼre gone, are you still going to practice?” Wen Huiyan asked impatiently.

”Well, Iʼm already here.” Lu Yuxi looked around. ”Can you go find two more people to stand in? Just walk me through the positioning. I can dance anyway. Itʼs just a matter of adjusting the choreography to accommodate those two.”

Wen Huiyan gave a strained, insincere smile. ”Fine. You wait here.”

In the end, Wen Huiyan found two other teachers. The three of them walked Lu Yuxi through the positioning once.

Lu Yuxi yawned continuously the whole time, distracted and unfocused. He just casually followed along a few times, but he made mistakes every single time.

Wen Huiyan suppressed her anger as she corrected him. ”The person walking to this position is Xiao He. You should walk over there. Donʼt get it wrong when youʼre on stage!”

After being corrected several times, Lu Yuxi also got a bit irritated. ”Got it, got it! When I danced this before, I always walked this way. Itʼs habit! Iʼll naturally change it when Iʼm on stage!”

”But you forget every time!” Wen Huiyan said.

”Then let Xiao He change! When I was in the group, my positioning was always on this side. If anyone has to change, it definitely wonʼt be me! Iʼm just not used to it.”

”This positioning was decided by the organizers. Xiao He has already completed his training on time. If you have any issues, Iʼll notify them all to come and change it right now,” Wen Huiyan said expressionlessly.

The stage sequence here was completely based on status. The details were very important and had all been predetermined by the organizers. They couldnʼt be changed arbitrarily.

And from the program order notification issued by the organizers, it was clearly evident: Xie Jingshi, Xiao He, Lu Yuxi.

So, who was more important was glaringly obvious.

”If youʼre not used to the positioning on this side, Iʼll notify Xiao He immediately and have him urgently modify his positioning and movements.”

Lu Yuxiʼs expression stiffened, but he stubbornly insisted, ”Forget it, I get it! I wonʼt make a mistake!”

Wen Huiyan was skeptical.

Fortunately, the next time, Lu Yuxi got it right in one go.

But before Wen Huiyan could feel relieved and have Lu Yuxi repeat it a few more times to solidify his memory, Lu Yuxi lazily yawned and said, ”Alright, I remember it. I wonʼt mess up. You guys dance it once later, record a video, and send it to me. Thanks! Iʼm heading out first.”

Then, without waiting for Wen Huiyan to say anything, he turned and left.

Wen Huiyan: ... Iʼm seriously going to die from anger!

She rolled her eyes dramatically.

”Youʼd better remember it!”
