Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 361: Year-End Galas and Performances

After bidding farewell to Yuan Sitong, Xiao He immediately went to find Liu Rulan without a momentʼs delay.

”Sister Liu, what are the details about that event you mentioned this morning? What do I need to do?”

As soon as Xiao He finished asking, Liu Rulan had already handed the schedule to him.

”This is your activity schedule for December. Take a look first.”

Xiao He didnʼt waste any words either, lowering his head to examine it carefully. He then drew in a sharp breath of cold air. ”This many?”

There were all sorts of large and small banquets and events. Not only did the Penguin platformʼs year-end celebration gala arrange a performance for Xiao He, but Peach also arranged a singing and dancing performance.

Peach, as one of the largest online shopping platforms domestically, often held such events every year. It was just that this was the first time Xiao He had been invited.

However, Xiao He truly couldnʼt understand it. ”As an actor, where exactly have I demonstrated any talent for singing?”

An actor is an actor! He wasnʼt a singer!

Why were they, one after another, asking him to sing?
Was this bowl of rice particularly fragrant?

Xiao He said frankly, ”I donʼt sing well, and I go off-key. Why would they come looking for me? They could just invite an actor who started as a singer.”

”These kinds of crossovers are more inclusive, have a high tolerance level, can add luster to your persona, and easily gain favor with fans.”

In other words, theyʼre also easier to... ahem, circle.

Liu Rulan gave a light cough. ”Moreover, youʼve been in the production team all these days, hardly appearing publicly. This year-end activity level can also help you stabilize your fanbase.”

This year, Xiao He was either filming abroad or filming domestically. Apart from those few highly trending Hot Search topics, he had hardly been active in front of his fans. Daily announcement maintenance was basically handled by Xiao Chen, who actively updated by taking some photos and videos of Xiao Heʼs daily outings. Otherwise, without this kind of ʼactivity level,ʼ letting fans become too detached wouldnʼt be a good thing.

Xiao He had been busy for so long;it was time for him to step onto the stage and show himself. Otherwise, the heat would drop quickly.

”I understand.”

Xiao He let out a long sigh, then continued looking at the arranged program content, feeling slightly relieved.

These events from both sides werenʼt too difficult either.

For the Penguin platform event, the arranged song was a theme song from *Corner Also*. At that time, several people would sing it together, each having their own part. The more difficult parts were basically assigned to others to sing, so Xiao He just needed to stand on stage as a pillar, his main purpose being to help promote *Corner Also*.

The other was a singing and dancing performance, a very popular English song online recently, the catchy kind. As long as he could grasp the tune properly, learning it shouldnʼt be too difficult either. Itʼs just that there was also a section of boy group dance that would require Xiao He to spend some time learning it.

After confirming the details of these programs, Xiao He finally breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look at Liu Rulan. ”The filming of *Record of Chasing the Wind* should be ending soon, right? These programs will probably require time for rehearsal, so we need to free up at least half a month in advance to handle these performances.”

Liu Rulan nodded. ”Yes, Iʼve already confirmed with Director Deng. The production teamʼs plan is also to try and finish the work by the end of the year, not pushing it past New Yearʼs Day. So, your recent filming tasks will be heavier. Can your body still handle it?”

Recently, Xiao He had been truly busy, leaving early and returning late, with irregular meals. Liu Rulan was really afraid Xiao He couldnʼt hold up.

”Ah, thatʼs not a problem—”

Xiao He waved his hand, appearing quite relaxed.

Actually, as the year-end approached, Xiao Heʼs points were about to break through one million. He had already prepared to pick a good time, bathe and change clothes, then pay respects to Xiao Chen and draw once from the highest prize pool for himself.

Perhaps because he had this carrot dangling in front of him, Xiao Heʼs mood had been exceptionally good recently, and his spirits were especially vigorous. Even though Liu Rulan had laid out such a killer work schedule, he was undaunted.

Let the storm come more violently!

Oho ho—

Xiao He hummed a tune as he left, leaving Liu Rulan somewhat puzzled.

”This kid, has he gotten stupid from being busy lately?”

She thought for a moment, then lowered her head to flip through the work arrangements for later.

Once *Corner Also* aired on New Yearʼs Day, Xiao He would inevitably have to run promotional activities. And when it came to the Spring Festival...

Liu Rulanʼs gaze fell on February.

February was a relatively special month because that month had both the Spring Festival and a special day... that was Xiao Heʼs birthday.

For someone whose birthday often fell during the New Year period and most likely during the winter vacation, his birthday was the easiest to forget.

After all, whether during work or school, if someone had a birthday, people saw each other every day, acquaintances would remind each other, and they might even throw a birthday party. This situation also made it easier to receive blessings and gifts.

But the buff of Spring Festival + winter vacation... unless they were very close friends, it was truly hard for people to actively remember. Moreover, at that time, many people werenʼt even local, either returning to their hometowns for the New Year or visiting their own relatives. Being able to remember to send a gift back was already pretty good.

So, Xiao He basically didnʼt have the habit of celebrating his birthday. At most, he would have a meal with close friends and family, and then his birthday would pass smoothly.

Liu Rulan remembered that when she first met Xiao He, it was during the filming of *Starry Radiance*. Although they didnʼt get a holiday during the Spring Festival, the production team celebrated together noisily and cheerfully. However, Xiao Heʼs status was very small back then;basically, no one would remember. Liu Rulan only noticed this matter while investigating his information, then politely sent a text message greeting, and that was the end of it.

And this year, when Xiao Heʼs parents came to Beijing to visit him, their family wanted to spend the Spring Festival by themselves. So, Liu Rulan and Xiao Chen returned to Shanghai in advance, not staying behind to celebrate Xiao Heʼs birthday. In the end, Xiao He only received the gifts after returning to Shanghai.

So overall, this unlucky kid Xiao He, after entering the industry, hadnʼt even celebrated a proper birthday with everyone.

This was truly a bit too pitiful.

And next year...

Liu Rulan pondered for a moment and had an idea.

Xiao Heʼs position in the industry was now stable. He had filmed many works this year, and next year he would be in a period of continuously outputting works. By then, his popularity would only grow stronger. As for his birthday, it could no longer be like before, just a mere, negligible formality that people forgot. It needed to be celebrated and held grandly and spectacularly!

Thinking this, Liu Rulan took out her phone and began adding and deleting items on the calendar, making memos, planning to start contacting and preparing later, determined to show the impressive presentation befitting the boss of their Linghui Entertainment!

Xiao He was completely unaware of Liu Rulanʼs plans. Upon returning to the set, he had to start preparing for this afternoonʼs filming.

Currently, *Record of Chasing the Wind* had also entered its latter half. Song Chenye now had a clear goal. Next, he found his enemies one by one and went to each of their doors to settle accounts.

And clearly, the female leadʼs father and the second male leadʼs father were among the targets!
