Technological Empire Starts From Shanzhai System

Chapter 93: Han and Tang RISC? !
Chapter 93 Han and Tang condensed instruction set? !

Hu Zhixin has relatively few friends in Penguin chat, and those who add him are usually middle-level and high-level employees of the company, people in the field of electronic chips, or his disciples, etc. At this time, I don’t know who sent the message.

Clicking on a nickname with the remark name ”Su Wei, a disciple of the 94th class”, Hu Zhixin curiously clicked to enter the Penguin chat interface, and saw that the other party had sent a message.

”Teacher, the chip industry is about to change drastically. Do you know about Hantang Technology Company? Then Lin Xuan, you should know.

It is Lin Xuan who developed the Hantang mobile phone system that Sanxing Electronics Company also adopted!

Teacher, do you know? ! That guy who didn’t graduate from high school, he actually developed a mobile phone chip in only one month!

Moreover, it is also a mobile phone chip with a new simplified instruction set with independent intellectual property rights built from scratch! ! ”

”A brand-new RISC mobile phone chip built from scratch with independent intellectual property rights?! And it only takes one month?”

Looking at the message sent by his disciple, Hu Zhixin opened his mouth wide and showed surprise in his eyes!

Although the ”new simplified instruction set with independent intellectual property rights” in this text does not seem to be shocking, it seems to be just ordinary text.

But as the core developer of the Longchip series chips, Hu Zhixin, who developed the Longchip No. 1 and Longchip No. 2 chips, is deeply aware of the difficulties in developing a new instruction set with independent intellectual property rights.

At the beginning, the Xia Academy of Sciences actually wanted to build an instruction set with independent intellectual property rights from scratch.

That’s when they were faced with two choices after failing to pursue the x86 instruction set.

But because of the failure to seek the authorization of the x86 instruction set architecture, Longxin Charco has two choices at this time.

One is to develop a new instruction set architecture with independent intellectual property rights, and the other is to purchase instruction set authorizations from other companies.

Among them, they finally gave up the plan to develop an independent intellectual property instruction set architecture from scratch after weighing and considering.

Because the difficulty is too great, the cost of capital and time investment is too high. At that time, Longxin Charco was just established, and they did not have sufficient funds.

And the above requirement is that the finished chip must be developed quickly, so they gave up the plan that requires the longest time-consuming and the largest investment in the independent intellectual property instruction set architecture.

But at this moment, what did he hear? He heard that a young man developed a chip with full independent intellectual property rights in only one month?

He was in disbelief, disbelief and shock.

At this time, it was as if the sky heard that the earth would be invaded by aliens tomorrow, and he seemed so unbelievable.

This is unscientific!

At this time, Hu Zhixin was full of disbelief. Although his disciples seemed to never dare to deceive or even tease him, he still felt that it was impossible to hear the news that someone had developed a chip within a month!

He knew that Hantang Technology was going to develop a mobile phone chip. He learned about the news that Hantang Technology was going to develop a chip the next day through the media.

After all, it was news about chips, so he also paid special attention to the chip research and development of Hantang Technology.

When he saw in the article that Lin Xuan didn’t know the importance and dared to boast about everything, he mocked Lin Xuan in his heart that this young man would be ashamed and thrown to the whole country.

This must be the disciple teasing him!

Thinking of this, Hu Zhixin was a little annoyed that this disciple was itchy, and dared to tease him in front of such a big event.

But his disciple didn’t wait for him to get angry, he saw that the disciple quickly sent a video link, and then a message.

”Teacher, I didn’t lie to you. You can take a look. Academician Ni Guangnan said it himself. With Academician Ni’s reputation, would he make a lie?!”

Hearing that his disciples even mentioned Academician Ni Guangnan, Hu Zhixin’s expression became serious.

This disciple actually involved this incident with Academician Ni Guangnan, so he clicked on one of those webpages to see if it was true.

”Lin Xuan is a genius! A genius who can change my Daxia technology!

He went from high school to PhD level in just 13 days! ”

Watching Academician Ni Guangnan in the video, Hu Zhixin really said this sentence, the shock and astonishment in his eyes could no longer be concealed!

turned out to be true? !

That young man named Lin Xuan actually developed a chip in less than a month? !

In this world, there is actually a genius who can forcibly memorize book knowledge, and can write down every word?

Dignified top researcher of the Xia Academy of Sciences, a top chip master with the strength of an academician even though he does not have the title of academician.

Hu Zhixin, known to the outside world as the two major chip designers of the Great Xia Kingdom, looked at Lin Xuan in the video with a face full of shock.

After a long time, Hu Zhixin finally calmed down, got up from the keyboard and typed his first sentence to his disciple:

”Do you have the detailed chip parameters of Hanfeng 1?”

”The teacher has it, and I will send it to you now.”

”Beep!”

Within a few seconds, his disciple sent over a picture, which was the data detected by Xia Ke Academy and the information released by Lin Xuan.

Regarding this, Hu Zhixin naturally couldn’t wait to click on the picture, and then looked at it seriously.

Soon, when he saw the above data, he showed a shocked expression.

”This performance is so powerful?”

As a leader in the field of chips, although he designs computer chips, computers and mobile phone chips are actually similar in many things, but the focus of the two sides is different.

Computer chips pursue high efficiency and versatility, and don’t care much about energy consumption, so even tens of hundreds of watts are acceptable.

While mobile phone chips pursue high efficiency, they also pursue ultra-low energy consumption. After all, mobile phones rely on batteries to supply power, which cannot support a large amount of power consumption, so the performance of mobile phone chips is usually weaker than computer chips.

As a master who can design Longxin chips, he naturally has a deep understanding of the performance of mobile phone chips in the current era.

At this time, compared with the data parameters of the Hanfeng first-generation chip and the performance parameters of the mobile phone he learned, the floating-point computing capability of the Hanfeng first-generation chip has reached the world’s leading level.

Reached twice the floating-point computing power of the Motorola Blade mobile phone he had seen not long ago!

How on earth does this work? Except for the lack of Bluetooth and WiFi, the performance and parameters of this mobile phone chip have reached the world’s leading level!

Suddenly, in his confusion, he thought of something, the Hanfeng first-generation mobile phone chip uses a new instruction set architecture with independent intellectual property rights!

To be able to achieve such performance, it must be that the design goal of high performance and low energy consumption has been set at the beginning of the design.

Because only the brand-new instruction set with independent intellectual property rights abandons all the burdens of past history, it is only because it can design and develop without any scruples, and fully adopts new algorithms and technologies that it can achieve such shocking performance parameters!

Through the same process technology before him, the performance parameters are more than twice the performance data of others. Hu Zhixin can already confirm that this first-generation chip of Hanfeng is indeed a new instruction set with its own intellectual property rights!

Because only those who adopt the new independent intellectual property instruction set can design and develop such a high-performance mobile phone chip!

Thinking of this, Hu Zhixin showed a horrified expression, with disbelief written all over his face!

In fact, how can this be shocking? This is equivalent to an unknown small computer manufacturer.

As a result, one day, a powerful chip that can compete with the Intel i7 processor, and even surpass the i7 in performance, how can Hu Zhixin not show a look of horror and disbelief?

After a long time, Hu Zhixin’s mood gradually calmed down. He looked at the words ”Han and Tang simplified instruction set architecture” in the picture, and his face showed longing!

”The only thing that can save our Longxin Charco is the Hantang simplified instruction set architecture!”

Although Hantang RISC is an instruction set that pursues high performance and low power consumption, it seems that it does not match the purpose of computer chip design and development.

But the instruction set is not fixed, it can also add new computer instructions for further development!

This is the chip instruction set architecture with independent intellectual property rights mastered by Huaguo. Compared with the MIPS instruction set, it is safer and more controllable, so there is no need to worry about repetition in the future.

And the most important thing is this independent intellectual property instruction set architecture, and it also has a mobile phone system and mobile phone equipment to support it.

If you want to develop computer systems in the future, that’s totally fine. Rebuild its computer system with the kernel micro-architecture of the Hantang system!

Before, when Ni Guangnan appealed loudly in the Xia Ke Academy, asking the Xia Science Academy to pay attention to the Han and Tang systems, the strength of the Han and Tang science and technology systems shocked the majority of researchers and academicians within the Xia Science Academy.

But because the time is too short, Xia Ke Academy cannot make the decision to switch from the Linux kernel system camp to the Han and Tang system camp.

After all, Xia Ke Academy, which is the core of scientific research in Daxia, ended up using a system kernel developed by a small company.

But this time and another time, at this time, with the open source Hantang system and the Hantang instruction set architecture, the two form a perfect match!

So at this time, Hu Zhixin already knew what Longxin Xiake should do next, go to his N’s MIPS instruction set!

Compared with the development and use, there are various restrictions of the MIPS company, and the MIPS instruction set that has to pay a large licensing fee every year. Longxin Shake only needs the Han and Tang instruction sets!

At this time, Hu Zhixin had already left behind the MIPS instruction set, and even the Godson-2 chip that was about to be successfully developed.

”I have to go to Rongcheng to ask Lin Xuan. For the future of Longxin Xiake and Daxia general-purpose processors, we Longxin Xiake must obtain the authorization to use the Hantang instruction set!”

At this time, Hu Zhixin said firmly, for the future of the Daxia computer industry, for the future of Longxin Xiake, Longxin Xiake must obtain the authorization to use the Hantang instruction set!
