Spiritual Energy Revival: Transform Into a Divine Phoenix, Automatically Upgrade

4: Chapter 4: Improving Basic Breathing TechniquesAt this moment, the invisible energy in the air was slowly surging into Ye Yang’s body as the Basic Breathing Technique ran automatically.

After that invisible energy from the air entered Ye Yang’s body, it transformed into a warm current, nourishing every part of his body.

”My body is constantly growing stronger...”

”It’s just as I guessed; the energy contained in sunlight is of a higher quality than the energy in the air...”

”Since the air contains this invisible, unknown energy, I’ll call it Spiritual Energy from now on...”

For convenience, Ye Yang named the invisible energy in the air Spiritual Energy, a term he was familiar with.

”I just don’t know if only animals can sense this Spiritual Energy in the air, or if any humans can perceive it too...”

”If only animals can perceive Spiritual Energy to evolve their bodies, then the humans of this world are in danger.”

Shaking his head, he realized this matter didn’t concern him for now; it was better for him to just quietly grow stronger.

...

Ran Xiaoyue, who was resting her chin in her hands, suddenly had her star-bright eyes light up!

”Huh?! Minmin... Little Phoenix seems to have grown a bit larger, and just now, its body seemed to glow!”

Faced with her best friend’s exclamation, Li Minmin, who had been looking down at her phone, raised her head and glanced at Little Phoenix bathing in the sunlight on the balcony.

”It does seem a bit bigger, but I’m not entirely sure...”

”Glow? How is that possible! A Sparrow isn’t some special deep-sea fish. Even though the animals in the world are changing strangely now, I’ve never heard of any bird that can glow!”

”Well... maybe I saw it wrong...”

Ran Xiaoyue hadn’t been wrong. She had been observing Ye Yang’s body closely, and it just so happened that when Ye Yang’s Basic Breathing Technique was running automatically, it produced a momentary flash of light.

...

The sky gradually darkened as the sun set and the moon rose.

The sun disappeared, replaced by the moon.

It was currently a long holiday, and only Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin were in the girls’ dormitory. Neither of them ever stayed up late, so they went to sleep early.

Ye Yang, nestled on the balcony, opened his eyes. Although a fledgling’s physique was weak, he possessed a human soul and was full of energy, so he didn’t need long periods of sleep.

”Ding, your Supreme Aura Cells are very angry and frustrated at losing their source of solar energy, so they have sulkily gone to sleep early...”

”Ding, your Basic Breathing Technique has perceived a brand-new type of energy and is delighted! Operational efficiency has greatly increased!”

”Ding, your Basic Breathing Technique proficiency level has increased! Basic Breathing Technique (Entry) has successfully upgraded to Basic Breathing Technique (Proficient)!”

”Holy crap!”

Ye Yang couldn’t help but curse inwardly!

”The Basic Breathing Technique actually leveled up!”

As the master of the Basic Breathing Technique, he could clearly feel that the speed at which Spiritual Energy was surging into him from the air had increased significantly.

”I didn’t expect the Proficient level of the Basic Breathing Technique to increase the absorption speed of Spiritual Energy so much. I wonder how many more levels the Basic Breathing Technique has...”

Ye Yang wasn’t worried at all about the Basic Breathing Technique failing to reach subsequent proficiency levels. To go from Entry to Proficient in just a single day made it obvious just how monstrous his automatically running Basic Breathing Technique was!

”Ding, your Basic Breathing Technique has been encouraged by you and is running with even more vigor! Basic Breathing Technique proficiency increased!”

”Oh? So it’s a good baby that needs praise... Hahaha...”

Ye Yang soon calmed down and recalled the system’s notification message from just a moment ago.

”According to the information from the system’s prompt, the Basic Breathing Technique only progressed so rapidly because it sensed a brand-new, magical energy...”

”Could there be some special energy nearby?”

Thinking of this, Ye Yang scanned the dormitory with his pair of lively, small eyes.

On the balcony hung bras, panties, and a small pink dress, and not far away, two little beauties in sheer clothing were sleeping on the bunk beds...

”Wait! What am I doing!”

Ye Yang quickly cast those messy thoughts out of his mind. He had been reincarnated as a little bird, and his knowledge of this world was pitifully scarce. Intuition told him that this world wasn’t so simple; otherwise, he wouldn’t have awakened something legendary like the Basic Breathing Technique.

”I can’t even guarantee my own survival, so how could I have the mind to be a pervert!”

He continued to observe his surroundings.

”Where is this brand-new energy? The system wouldn’t be wrong...”

Suddenly, Ye Yang lowered his head and noticed something unusual: the gray feathers on his body were now pure white!

That was the radiance of moonlight! The color of the moon!

”Could the new energy be moonlight!”

Silently feeling the source of the energy within his body, he quickly determined that the moonlight shining on him was that new energy.

”It’s actually moonlight... Doesn’t that mean the Basic Breathing Technique will be even more efficient at night!”

Unlike absorbing Spiritual Energy from the air during the day to slowly strengthen himself.

At night, under the influence of Spiritual Energy and moonlight energy, he could feel his body rapidly growing stronger!

”If this continues, I should be able to level up in a few days!”

His pair of lively, small eyes sparkled with the luster of gemstones in the dark environment of the dormitory!

No one noticed that a few wisps of the bright white moonlight, attracted by Ye Yang and gathered around him, were slowly overflowing outward.

Those few wisps of bright white moonlight energy slowly entered the bodies of Ran Xiaoyue and Li Minmin along with their breathing...

...

The day passed without incident, and the next day arrived.

”That was such a comfortable sleep...”

Ran Xiaoyue stretched out her arms, outlining a hazy and beautiful curve, slowly got up, and habitually swept her gaze toward the balcony.

Suddenly, her eyes froze, and she rubbed them with her small hands.

”Little Phoenix seems to have grown a bit larger...”

”Maybe it’s because fledglings develop quickly.”

After placing a few mealworms into Little Phoenix’s small bowl, she called Li Minmin to wash up and go to school together.

This was a double dormitory; after the two girls left, no one else would appear.

Ye Yang watched the two girls leave, then slowly stood up and flapped his wings.

He then came to the small bowl and ate the lively, jumping mealworms in a few bites.

He then habitually hopped onto another table in the dormitory; he remembered that there was half a large piece of bread left over by Li Minmin here.

He then quickly devoured it, finally feeling full.

If an outsider were to see this, it would be hard to imagine that a bird only a few centimeters long could eat a piece of bread the size of a fist.

This was natural, as Ye Yang’s body growth rate was astonishing. Although it was due to the Supreme Aura Cells and the Basic Breathing Technique, the basic nutrients required by his body could not be lacking.

Therefore, after the two girls left the dormitory, he often scavenged for food in the dormitory when he had nothing to do.

After eating his fill, Ye Yang raised his head, his pair of lively, shining bird eyes looking toward the open vent above the windowsill. The sunlight outside was very dazzling... even the air outside was extremely tempting...
