Thunderstorm Asthma? I’ll Just Drain the National Power Grid!

28: Upgraded to mid-D tier, battery level 13%!Two days later, at the Dragon Shield Bureau’s dormitory area.

Lin Yuan slowly opened his eyes.

“Hoo—”

A puff of turbid air, carrying electric sparks, escaped his lips, emitting a crackling sound in the air.

He sat up from the bed, feeling the fullness within his body, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

That wisp of abyssal origin had been completely digested by him.

As for the rewarded Thunder Origin Crystal, he had only absorbed a small portion before feeling his body reach a certain saturation point, not daring to continue.

Even so, the harvest was terrifying!

“System.”

With a thought, a light blue screen appeared before his eyes.

god-tier charging system

Host: Lin Yuan

Physique: Primordial Thunder God Body (Elementary)

Realm: D-rank - Condensation Realm (Mid-stage)

Divine Body Power: 13%

Unlocked Abilities: Electromagnetic Induction, Palm Thunder, Lightning Step

Unlocked Talent: Lightning Control

13%!

Just a wisp of gray energy as thin as a hair, and a small piece of crystal, had increased his Divine Body Power by a full 3%!

Moreover, this 3% increase was a fundamental growth!

Lin Yuan felt that the thunder power within his body was several times more refined than before.

If he were to absorb a substation now, he was confident that the burden on his body would be much smaller.

Most importantly, his realm had leaped from D-rank Elementary to D-rank Mid-stage!

“However, since the power reached 10%, the increase has become slower and slower. It seems I need to find higher-level resources.”

“Grrr—”

Just then, an untimely sound came from his stomach.

Lin “Power Bank” was full.

But Lin “Big Eater” was empty.

“Time to eat, time to eat!”

Lin Yuan jumped out of bed, threw on his clothes, and rushed out the door, heading straight for the Dragon Shield Bureau’s internal cafeteria… The cafeteria was bustling with noise.

However, when Lin Yuan walked into the cafeteria, carrying a plate piled high like a small mountain, the previously noisy environment suddenly quieted down.

Countless gazes, with a whoosh, all turned towards him.

Those eyes… were very complex.

Lin Yuan felt a little uneasy under their stares.

What’s going on?

Isn’t it just that he eats a lot? Is it necessary to look at him like he’s some prehistoric giant beast?

He found a corner to sit down. Just as he was about to start eating, he overheard the whispers of several Dragon Shield Bureau members at the next table.

“Look quickly! It’s him!”

“Who?”

“Who else! The short-circuit hero!”

“Pfft—”

Lin Yuan almost spat out a mouthful of soup.

That nickname hasn’t gone away yet?

How could his dignified Primordial Thunder God Body, the future Thunder God, become a short-circuit hero?

He furiously complained in his mind but still pricked up his ears to listen further.

“My goodness, that’s the ‘short-circuit hero’ Lin Yuan? He doesn’t look like much, just ordinary.”

“What do you know! Did you hear about the steel factory incident two days ago? He did it!”

“The steel factory incident? How come I heard Captain Liu led people to clean up afterwards?”

“By the time Captain Liu arrived, the yellow flowers were already cold! ” The well-informed member lowered his voice, looking mysterious, “My buddy in the medical department said that Captain Su was almost done for, and the opponent was a Warlord Rank Abyssal Lair Matriarch, bringing nearly a hundred elite monsters!”

“Damn… wasn’t that a pure death trap?”

“Exactly! But guess what? This guy, the ‘short-circuit hero,’ alone, directly rushed into the nearby substation and drained all the electricity from the entire substation!”

“Then, like a Thunder God descending, with one move! Just one damn move! He instantly killed that Warlord Rank Matriarch! Then with another move, he blew up the entire lair!”

“No way?! You’re kidding, right? A D-rank killing a Warlord Rank? What kind of international joke is that?!”

“Absolutely true! The mission rating has come out, ‘Perfect’! Do you know? The first perfect rating since the establishment of the Dragon Shield Bureau Jiangcheng Branch! He alone earned ten thousand contribution points!”

Immediately, a chorus of gasps echoed in the cafeteria.

Listening to these discussions, Lin Yuan couldn’t help but let the corners of his mouth curl slightly upward.

Although the nickname “short-circuit hero” was silly.

But… listening to others brag about how awesome he was, felt so damn good!

In high spirits, he picked up a large chicken drumstick and took a big bite.

Just as he was secretly enjoying himself, a clear, cold voice sounded behind him.

“What are you thinking about?”

Lin Yuan turned around.

He saw Su Wanqing standing behind him, he didn’t know when she had arrived.

She had changed into casual clothes, and although her face was still a bit pale, her breathing was steady, indicating that her injuries were no longer serious.

“Director Zhou wants to see us; there’s a new mission,” Su Wanqing said concisely.

“Oh?” Lin Yuan’s eyes lit up. He quickly shoveled the remaining food into his mouth in a few bites, mumbling, “Beautiful Older Sister recovered quite fast, huh? I thought I could go to the hospital to take care of you and collect a hefty nursing allowance.”

Su Wanqing: “...”

She rolled her eyes at Lin Yuan, her gaze as if saying, “Nothing good comes out of a dog’s mouth.”

But surprisingly, she didn’t retort as she usually would; she just turned and walked out of the cafeteria.

“Follow me.”

Lin Yuan chuckled, quickly got up, and followed her.

The two walked one after another, side by side, down the base’s corridor.

Along the way, all Dragon Shield Bureau members who brushed past them, whether E-rank ordinary members or D-rank elite officers, would immediately stop and stand at attention when they saw the two of them.

Then, they would give them a standard salute.

“Your Excellency, Ice Phoenix!”

“Your Excellency, Lin Yuan!”

Calls filled with respect continuously rang out.

Lin Yuan was a little unaccustomed at first, but soon, he straightened his back and began to enjoy it.

This damned sense of privilege!

This damned respect!

This iron rice bowl… it’s getting better and better!
