Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2244: Chapter 2238: Filled with Sunshine

”That’s essential, we definitely have to go eat. It’s perfect since today is the weekend, Chu Molin will be back, and we’ll wait for him to come home and go together.” Qin Xue had originally thought about cooking by herself, but now that her siblings were here and Chu Molin was on a break, they might as well go together. It’s a good opportunity for the whole family to have fun.

”Looks like I came at the right time, count me in,” Qing Zhu didn’t consider herself an outsider. After all, these were her godbrother and godsister; it wouldn’t make sense to treat herself as an outsider now.

”Sure, we can’t leave you out, can we?” Qin Xue didn’t plan on leaving Qing Zhu out anyway. It was just right that she was here, saving her a trip to find her. This time she had to include Chu Xiaoqiao, as she was Chu Molin’s sister, and it was necessary to get to know each other.

”Let’s go then, there’s nothing more here, let’s get back and put their luggage in place, let them rest a bit first.” There was quite a pile of luggage in Qing Teng’s car.

”Okay, let’s go.” Qin Xue wanted to ask about things at home, wondering about the health of her parents and grandparents.

But seeing the tired look on their faces, she decided to wait until they rested. After all, there was plenty of time for that.

”Let’s go, darlings.” Qin Jiale grabbed Yu Chen and called the other kids.

”Auntie, is Uncle here to study too, are you here to study as well?” Cohen looked at Qin Jiale.

”No, Auntie’s here to have fun, not to study. Why, Cohen, are you eager to study?” Qin Jiale looked at Cohen beside her.

”Mom said I should go to school when the new term starts. But once I go to school, my younger brothers won’t have anyone to play with.” Cohen looked at Yu Ze and his brother. The three of them had fun together, but now if he went to school, what would happen to the others?

”That’s not a problem; you’re just going to school earlier than them. After a while, they’ll go too. Then you can all play together after school, right?” Qin Jiale looked at the children, hoping they remained close; she was really worried about potential conflicts, which would make things hard for her as a sister.

After all, since they’re not her biological children, if she criticized or disciplined them, others might say something. Now seeing that Cohen wasn’t upset and was instead thinking of Yu Ze and the others, Qin Jiale was truly relieved.

It’s not that she had anything against Cohen, but she’s seen how hard it is for a stepmother. There are quite a few in the village, and generally, people treat stepchildren poorly. Others may gossip, but her sister and brother-in-law are different; they’re good people, and since Cohen isn’t their biological child, any gossip really would be a burden.

”Auntie is right. I want to study hard, then come back to teach my brothers. That way, we’ll know the same things, which is great.” Upon hearing Qin Jiale’s words, Cohen finally let go of his earlier unhappiness.

Now he had a goal, and his heart was filled with light.

”Are you planning to let him start school when the term begins?” Qing Zhu looked at Cohen and asked Qin Xue.

”Yes, I’ll let him start kindergarten. He’s four now, so he can go to kindergarten. Delaying further would miss the critical period for his development, which isn’t good for his growth.” Qin Xue thought about how, in the future, kids start kindergarten at three, and Cohen was already four.

Although in this era it’s a bit early, kindergarten is an indispensable process in a child’s growth. It’s good for him to adapt early. Here, kids start preschool at seven, but after kindergarten, he can go directly to elementary school. It’s pretty good.
