Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2207: Chapter 2201: Don’t Be Afraid to Step Outside

”No need to be so formal about it. Since you’re coming to my house today, it means you trust me, Qin Xue. So don’t be shy, take this.” Qin Xue quickly packed some food and placed it in Su Jin’s hands, not giving her the chance to refuse.

Qin Xue didn’t want Su Jin to feel uncomfortable just because she had saved her son. If the household was really tight on money, and a child was sick, it would be a real struggle mentally.

”Alright then, thank you.” Su Jin couldn’t decline Qin Xue’s offer. She had no choice but to accept, as it would seem impolite otherwise. Qin Xue saw value in her and was willing to offer her help, and refusing would make her seem petty. Su Jin didn’t want that. If things were good with Qin Xue, she would consider coming here, appreciating the idea of being able to work while taking her child along. This was a great convenience for her.

This way, she could earn money while looking after her child, which was perfect given her current situation. However, she hadn’t discussed it with her family, so she refrained from making any decisions on the spot. She still needed to consider others, after all.

She thought her husband wouldn’t oppose the idea too strongly. Su Jin was thinking of making her case for family benefits, so she’d come up with a good reason to convince him.

”No need to thank me. We’re friends, after all. I can share whatever I have with you, as long as you don’t mind.” Qin Xue hadn’t expected Su Jin to be so courteous, far more gracious than many others.

”Of course not. Ever since I was young, apart from my grandmother, no one has treated me this kindly. I’m really grateful to you.” Su Jin was touched deeply, as no one else had been so kind to her.

Su Jin felt the genuine kindness from Qin Xue, and she didn’t want Qin Xue to think she was being too distant. When someone is truly sincere, they express it through their emotions. Now that Su Jin felt it, she planned to cherish it.

”You’ll meet more people who like you in the future. Don’t be afraid to step out. The world has both good and bad, but never think you’re inferior to others. The condition of your hand isn’t something you can control—it’s something given by your parents and destined by heaven.” Qin Xue was aware that Su Jin had grown fearful from being ostracized, so she never displayed any negative emotions, fearing that Su Jin might think she shared the same mindset as those people of the past. That would not be a good outcome for her, and she wanted to avoid it.

”How is that possible?” Su Jin didn’t believe things could be as Qin Xue described. Whenever people found out about her condition, they treated her the same as before. How could things really be as Qin Xue said?

”It’s true, I’m not lying. People nowadays just have limited education and experiences. It’ll change as they see more.” Qin Xue knew people were like this because they’ve experienced so little. But with future policies, everyone will have to go to school and receive compulsory education. As people become more knowledgeable, how could they hold the same views as people do now?

In the coming years, people will have to receive compulsory education; otherwise, it would be illegal. Under such policies, everyone’s mindset will change, and they’ll see more. The mere condition of a hand? It’s hardly a big deal, just commonplace and unnoticed. So when Su Jin says it’s impossible, that’s not the case at all, alright.
