Chapter 2214: Chapter 2208: Methods for Handling Lobster

”Alright, I got it. I’ll make more so everyone can have enough, but handling this takes quite some time; it’s not easy.” Qin Xue thought dealing with lobsters was really labor-intensive, so thinking about this, it was indeed very difficult to do well.

Slow work yields fine results; if you want to eat well, you can only take your time. With so many family members, having enough really is a challenge. Qin Xue wondered whether she should find some help; maybe Qing Zhu and An Hao were the only ones to ask if really needed.

Qin Xue kept contemplating this issue, unsure whether to seek help, but eventually decided against it. She figured it was alright because she hadn’t gone out to buy anything; she would later explain her eagerness without inconvenience, so Cong wouldn’t call them. She would do it slowly by herself.

Qin Xue thought it over and decided to do it herself, while Xue Ling just thought about taking Cohen away for a moment, allowing Qin Xue to bring out the lobsters, which could be handled with some assistance.

After Qin Xue and Xue Ling discussed and finalized it, this matter posed a significant temptation for others, so how much could be done relied solely on oneself.

After finishing her meal, Qin Xue returned to her room to read. She was determined to fulfill what she promised Xue Ling, no matter how tired she felt. Only after reading until exhausted did she rest.

The next morning, she woke up not seeing Xue Ling and the children. She fulfilled the promise to the kids by taking out over ten pounds of lobster from storage, and after breakfast, she began the preparations.

”Mom, why do we need to cut this part off?” Cohen squatted in front of Qin Xue and asked her.

”There are some dirty parts at the head. Once we clean the body, we use scissors to diagonally cut this section, and rinse the inside clean. Yes, see here, there’s a dark part; we open it up, one pick, one pull, see? It’s out now. Lastly, we cut off the feet here. See, the lobster is now handled—isn’t it simple?” Qin Xue explained step by step to the three children.

”It seems easy; can I try it?” Cohen asked Qin Xue.

”Mom is happy Cohen wants to help, but you’re still young. You need scissors for this, and the lobster’s pincers can pinch hard, it’s painful. Let’s wait until Cohen is older to help, alright?” Qin Xue hoped for the child to be independent and helpful, not becoming spoiled, but they’re too small now, a bit difficult to manage. To prevent injury, better not let them help.

”Mom, can you cut off their heads and we’ll wash them?” Yu Ze understood his mother was right, but seeing such a big pile with only his mother handling them, he wanted to assist because it’s tiring.

”Do you really want to help mom?” Qin Xue looked at the children.

”Yes, we’ll help mom.” The three children nodded without hesitation.

”Alright then, I agree with the request; remember, you can’t rest until it’s finished. Can’t quit halfway through, got it?” Qin Xue looked at the many lobsters and agreed, letting them practice was beneficial for them.

”We won’t; we’ll finish before resting.” Cohen wanted to help his mother and play, thinking the task looked fun.

”Okay, Xue Ling, you brush clean, I’ll cut, and they’ll wash.” Qin Xue organized the work well, clarified roles for everyone, making the task faster.
