Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1413: Sunrise Inner City Part 30

Another 15 minutes later...

”I need help over here... my health is depleting from the cloud poison, and I need spot healing.”

”I’m also infected with cloud poison!”

”Damn, my health can’t sustain any longer.”

Having said that, another tank collapsed to the ground, its health points going down to 0.

As for those who were still alive and kicking, they didn’t fare much better when the healers were all pale faces.

It wasn’t that they didn’t want to spot heal them, but they were all on cooldown or waiting for their mana to recover.

To summarize, it was a disaster.

Because it wasn’t just the tanks falling, but even the DPS were going down one by one from the AoE residual effect.

A group of 49 people was now down to 35 people, with 14 people dying. By now, Veronica and Sweet Sky also left Xu Feng’s cold body alone.

They had no other choice. If they didn’t join the fight, then they might have been wiped out even faster.

After all, Sweet Sky was a skillful healer and managed to alleviate some of the plights. As for Veronica, she could still summon creatures to help distract and bait the Red Ogre’s summons to other areas.

Now, almost everyone was waiting for Carmen to give instructions.

What should they do?

Do they wipe or do they continue to struggle hopelessly?

Carmen’s face was filled with bitterness as she looked at the system’s timer, which indicated that the next wave of consuming the cloudy mist was dropping in another 20 seconds.

’I’ve really tried my best, Feng.’ As much as she hated to admit it, Carmen realized she couldn’t lead the team to surpass the impossible. She was ultimately not Xu Feng, who could confidently break through the difficulty and bring everyone to victory.

To be honest, her mana was still relatively high due to the uniqueness of her Voidmancer class.

But the rest clearly didn’t have such an advantage. Everyone’s HP was either half or around 60%, with their mana barely at around 20%.

At this moment, it was hard to not admit defeat.

”We should reset—” Just when she wanted to call for a reset to redo the raid, she suddenly felt a warm and gentle hand resting on her shoulder.

She didn’t even flinch because her guard was always up. The only person whom she had no guard against was none other than Xu Feng.

She turned around with a bright smile and exclaimed in joy. ”You’re back.”

”Sorry for being absent.” Xu Feng nodded and apologized. ”Leave the rest to me now.”

Carmen heaved a sigh of relief and nodded. She gradually retreated slightly in steps and was more than ready to give up the leadership.

It was only when one really took up the mantle to be the shotcaller that one would know how immensely difficult it was to do such a task.

Your vision needed to be 360-degree, and your knowledge also needed to be extensive enough to deliver swift and accurate command.

But most importantly, the morale within the team instantly soared to a new height as soon as they learned about Xu Feng’s return.

”Guild Leader!”

”The Guild Leader has returned!”

”We’re safe!”

The popularity of Xu Feng exceeded the so-called dubbed mascot of the Vanguard Guild.

”Alright, everyone starts to spread out! Don’t group up too closely together!” That was his first command, which totally went against the group’s previous tactic of sticking together.

Clearly, everyone almost went numb.

Had they been raiding with the wrong strategy?

Was this why they barely dealt any damage to the boss?

Rather than having doubts about Xu Feng’s command, they were actually questioning their previous strategy. After all, their trust in Xu Feng could be said to be on par with blindly trusting.

What did that mean?

It meant that if Xu Feng claimed the sun rises from the West, everyone would believe it on the spot.

Originally, they all stuck together to avoid the explosion of the mist and random summons. Of course, the downside of this made all the attacks concentrated in their region, which drained the tanks and healers deeply.

However, separating would increase the risk of death.

Needless to say, that was under the premise that they couldn’t have someone who would help sustain their health.

And who else but Xu Feng could easily accomplish such a task?

In the blink of an eye, everyone naturally grouped into their respective teams, which was originally organized by Xu Feng.

”Tanks who are low health and mana should recoup to the other tanks. Healers focus on buffing the DPS and ignore the tanks. DPS, if I don’t see at least 50% of hit accuracy on Critical Flesh Points, you’re all going to retake the training session 3.1 in the difficulty I took.”

Xu Feng sent a series of commands whilst raising his staff and healing the tanks.

Meanwhile, he had his other free hand to trigger the Origin Power to enhance everyone’s overall attributes.

The Origin Fragment, which he had painstakingly searched for, was actually critical in alleviating the Extreme Mode difficulty.

Everything was actually under the system’s meticulous plan.

The Extreme Mode difficulty appeared not because they were the pioneer or made an advanced discovery. But it was because of his Origin Status.

The Extreme Mode shouldn’t have appeared at this stage of the game, but everything changed with the Origin factor included.

Because the Origin Fragment was a major key factor in raiding the boss.

The Red Ogre’s defense was nearly impenetrable?

Well, that was indeed true, except that it could be bypassed if a player received an Origin blessing.

”Start bombarding the Red Ogre!” Xu Feng blessed the team with Origin while glancing at the countdown of the cloudy mist being churned out.

As long as they timed it well, they could actually disrupt the cloudy mist from appearing, saving them the time and effort to consume the cloudy mist.

Following Xu Feng’s command, all the DPS narrowed their eyes coldly and began firing all their offensive spells at the boss.
