Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1403: Sunrise Inner City Part 20

Despite being instructed to scatter to set up defenses and preventive methods to avoid being ambushed once they completed the dungeon, almost every member knew it was an excuse to leave Xu Feng alone.

As much as they were curious about their Guild Leader’s condition, they valued their life very much.

Hence, they all scattered and seriously placed defensive tools nearby. Not a single one of them wished to be bombarded by others once they completed the dungeon.

While they busied themselves, Carmen quickly cast an illusion formation as she rushed toward Xu Feng’s side.

”What’s the matter, Feng?” She held a worried expression, her arms wrapping around his shoulder.

”You really aren’t behaving yourself lately.” Veronica chimed in. Her eyes were narrowed as she wondered if he had been cooped up for far too long.

According to what Carmen had told her, she realized the one who really should take a break was Xu Feng.

This man had not taken a rest ever since the Divine World was launched.

”I’m fine. I doubt you two will be any better.” Xu Feng smiled sarcastically and showed them the system prompt.

Sure enough, their concern and worries were quickly replaced by disdain. They weren’t dumb or ignorant to not understand the implication.

”What is this cursed system?” Veronica snapped and hissed coldly.

”I know, right?” Carmen twitched her mouth. ”Why are we being punished for being a pioneer and discovering things faster than others? It’s like saying that you should stay average or ordinary and not be an explorer.”

When Xu Feng heard these two ranting alongside, he let out a small giggle.

How could he not know these two were trying to cheer him up?

They weren’t the type to lose their composure, much less speak in such a manner.

”You can call them back.” Xu Feng mused and took a deep breath. ”The run is just going to be much harder than I anticipated.”

Though when he said that, it simply meant he needed to work overtime and scrutinize the members more heavily. In other words, he cannot afford to have more than 3% error margin.

Extreme Mode difficulty wasn’t just for show.

If others thought Hell Mode difficulty was crazy, then Extreme Mode was where you would dial a number to send them to a mental hospital.

Xu Feng was only frustrated and disappointed that he needed to put in more effort than originally planned.

Had he known the system was going to play such a despicable move, then he would have made his members train even harder and conduct more tests before rushing over here. Now it was just great; his shrewdness ended up backfiring and got him trapped.

Sometime later, every member gathered up at the entrance and was informed of the bad news.

”Ahh, Extreme Mode difficulty actually exists?”

”There’s really one above Hell Mode... this is insane!”

”Insane, look at the Guild Leader’s reaction from earlier. We’re about to hammer down hard.”

Not a single member in the guild was looking forward to the raid. They weren’t afraid of failing, but were afraid of not meeting Xu Feng’s standard.

They hadn’t seen their guild leader lose his composure in such a manner. Even when facing a siege from everywhere, the guild leader was calm and collected.

Yet this incident actually caused him to lose his emotions.

How could they not be alarmed?

”I’m sure everyone realized I lost my temper earlier.” Xu Feng didn’t bother to conceal the matter or attempt to lie to them.

All these people here weren’t foolish or dumb to not have noticed his reaction.

”According to information, when we enter the dungeon, we will have to deal with a ton of mobs, followed by a large ogre-like monster. There will be a deadly mist that members have to consume to dissipate. Otherwise, the explosion of the mist will wipe us all.” He continued, letting them know some information in advance.

And sure enough, this small gist of information had caused many members to shiver in fear.

Forcefully consume deadly mist?

You’re telling me that we have to forcefully and knowingly swallow this deadly mist into our stomachs to prevent a team wipe?

Needless to say, nearly the majority of them darted their eyes at one specific class. Or to be more precise, the players who were in the Warrior Class.

”Why are you staring at me?” One of the tanks snapped.

”Oh hell no, we have to focus on aggro. We don’t have the time to swallow some mist.” Another tank concurred.

Soon, more tanks began to switch their target to those long-ranged DPS to consume the deadly mist instead.

They had a lot of DPS and healers anyway. The job was just right for them.

”Enough of the back and forth!” Their farce only ended when Xu Feng’s voice interrupted them.

Like a magic spell.

Everyone became silent.

All are waiting for Xu Feng to continue.

”During the deadly mist, I will tell who to get. As for who, let’s just say the deadweight will be chosen.”

Having said that, he turned around and turned on the guild feature to check if everyone was ready to participate in the raid.

Although everyone clicked the check mark, they all realized the bottom fraggers were going to be consuming the deadly mist.

As for what determined the bottom fraggers, it was naturally those who failed to perform well in their designated class.

After all, it would be ridiculous to call out a healer for having low DPS or a DPS for having low damage taken.

Once everyone confirmed their readiness, Xu Feng took a deep breath and selected the Extreme Mode.

[System Notification: You have selected Sunrise Inner City Extreme Mode Difficulty! May the players be cautious of the danger in the dungeon and tread carefully! Limitation entry is once per day!]

’Hah, this system sure is sinister.’ Xu Feng twitched his brows slightly when a hidden limitation was added in the dungeon. It only decided to show up once he selected the dungeon to raid, which had no take-back.
