Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1401: Sunrise Inner City Part 18

Unknown Land, Inner Region

”Everyone, take a break. Consume your pills to resist the hostile environment.” Xu Feng reined the horse and halted its movement to instruct his fellow subordinates.

They had traveled for half an hour already.

Through multiple checkpoints, there weren’t any hiccups given his identity and token from General Henry.

But still, the hostile environment continuously dampened them.

If they failed to take a certain medical pill in time. Then they would receive a debuff, with some even being status ailments that would force them to return to the NPC town or city to recover.

As everyone got to rest and set up a defensive formation, Xu Feng expanded his perception.

Simultaneously, Carmen also got to work by summoning her voidlings to check their surroundings.

Ever since Carmen got cornered by a superior summoner, she had learned to always inspect her surroundings and the terrain advantageous to her in battle.

She did it without even needing Xu Feng to tell her what to do.

’Seems like some setback was all it needed to make her learn fast and adapt.’ Xu Feng glanced at Carmen’s action and was impressed by it.

Not everyone can learn from their mistake right away and come up with a proper solution to tackle the problem.

”Is there something I’m doing wrong, Guild Leader?” Carmen asked upon sensing his intense gaze at her.

”No, I’m just impressed by your awareness level.” Xu Feng shook his head and complimented.

Shortly after saying that, his eyes darted to the other members, specifically the Assassins, Swordsman, and Gunners.

”You people have no level of awareness. It’s a waste for you to have high agility, only to be wasted like this.” He frowned and chided them.

These three classes had the highest agility and were most suitable for surveillance. Yet they were all lazing around on the ground, completely defenseless.

Sure enough, those who were in these classes lowered their heads in shame.

As for the Summoner class, they were also embarrassed because Carmen was also a Summoner and used her summons to check around the vicinity.

However, Xu Feng must compliment Lightning Blade.

”Look at Blade on the top of the tree. Consuming pills while making sure his perception is wide.” He pointed at the latter and then at the other swordsman who were just chilling on the ground.

Their combat experience was high; that was a fact. But their survivability needed major improvement.

Because the Training Hall was confined within the arena, they never had to worry about external factors.

And by habit, they stopped caring about it, which was why Xu Feng wanted only those who passed the training hall to join the raid.

First, it was because their combat experience was adequate. Second, he didn’t need to babysit them about what to do in actual fighting.

But most importantly, it was the last reason. He needed to gear them up to prepare for a large-scale wilderness fight.

After all, they were going to be enlisted to fight the actual Colossuses army in an open field in the upcoming weeks.

Without the necessary experience, his guild members would just be wiped, and the loss of resources would be tremendous. Sorry, but the Vanguard Guild isn’t that rich to afford such major losses.

Sometime later, all those classes who were called out had to follow by example and get their butt to work.

The ones who didn’t get caught heaved in relief. They thought they lucked out by not being one of those classes.

Alas, that would be their delusional speaking.

”Don’t think you are all safe!” Xu Feng’s eyes quickly darted at them and criticized each class.

The tanks were supposed to be prepared to defend and shield the team no matter the circumstance.

The support classes also needed to be ready to buff and nullify any unexpected debuffs hurled at them.

Needless to say, the DPS classes should also remain alert to deal enough damage to whatever enemies that emerge from an area.

Having been scolded so harshly, all of them could only lower their heads in shame.

”Hmph, all that training was wasted when you all slacked off like this.” Xu Feng snorted, assuming a prestige authority that could not be challenged. The only ones saved from his criticism were Veronica and Crimson Heart.

Crimson Heart’s focus and attention were all on crafting. That alone granted her leniency because she literally repaired and supplied more than half the guild’s gears.

As for Veornica... even he feared her now.

He had no intention of courting death against Veronica, who might just throw in a resignation letter and a middle finger.

Almost everyone in the guild also knows Veronica might just be a Guild Captain in name, but her actual authority was even superior to that of a Guild Commander, and even equivalent to the Guild Leader.

The only one who could actually surprise her might just be the elusive Eclipse Nova.

Luckily, Carmen made sure to keep that identity a secret from herself. She understood the Vanguard Guild needed a huge mystery expert who could instill fear in others.

A few minutes later, the group finally showed some action of being at war.

Although they were still somewhat relaxed, their alertness was no longer at its lowest.

Pleased with this situation, Xu Feng decided to let them rest a bit more while buffing them to help alleviate the hostile environment.

The other healers were also buffing and helping them dispel the status ailments. But it was evident that their spells weren’t as potent as his, which was amplified by the Origin power.

Right at this moment, Xu Feng suddenly received a message notification.

’Who is it?’ He was confused. Most of the people with notifications were practically present. There was only one who was left, actually.

A bad premonition surfaced as he opened the message.

And sure enough, the message came from Zhao Kai, who just dropped another bombshell news.

Zhao Kai: Eh, Feng... I think my mouth did a whoopsie again. When did tea become so coveted in the Divine World? I still remember it being 1 copper coin for 3 tea cups.
