Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 995: Don’t Leave Me Behind

Shortly after Xu Feng stabilized the Energy Force inside his body, he began to flash a grin.

”Phew, who could have imagined that I advanced at this moment?” He clenched his fist and felt a surge of power overflowing within him.

The current him could easily overwhelm Qin Xiaobo in a single move.

Qin Xiaobo was the expert fighter whom Xu Feng had a practice fight with back when he was at Lumora City to poach some fighters to join the Vanguard Guild.

”Young Master, are you sure your body and health are fine? The sensors are detecting an abnormal wavelength emitting from you.” While Xu Feng was distracted in his thoughts, the AI Vera’s voice resounded again.

Due to the built-in sensors in the car, Vera could constantly detect and monitor Xu Feng’s condition.

Hence, the current wavelength emitted by Xu Feng was at a dangerous rate, prompting Vera to request permission to drive toward a nearby hospital, as well as alerting the first aid responders.

”Yes,” Xu Feng nodded and requested to see his wavelength. Soon, a projected screen was shown. The video on the screen depicted his current wavelength and calculation in real-time.

After inspecting it for a while, Xu Feng was relieved. The wavelength appeared abnormal and dangerous because Vera didn’t have the data of an Energy Force fighter.

Given that he had just advanced and didn’t have the time to regulate it yet, the wavelength caused Vera to be alarmed.

”Classify the information and insert new data that such wavelengths are normal for me.” Xu Feng commanded.

”Command received,” Vera responded and quickly encrypted the data. From now on, without Xu Feng’s explicit permission, no one else was allowed to access the data.

Not even a government intervention or court document could grant them access. The only way to access was by forcing Xu Feng to comply, otherwise, the information would self-delete if it detected any data was breached.

This was why the AI system in the vehicle was so highly sought after. Its privacy was top-tier and guaranteed absolute safety.

Sometime later, he exited the vehicle, only to realize the crowd had vanished.

”Eh, where did the rest go?” Xu Feng’s brows furrowed as he expanded his Energy Force to sense his surroundings.

With the increased Energy Force, he soon discovered a concrete wall was actually made with a special type of material.

He calmly approached it and placed his finger to trace the wall. ’No wonder it appeared empty. The city actually managed to obtain a batch of Energy Metal and used it to construct it here.’

The Energy Material was a special type that hailed from first-graded cities. It contained an energy wavelength that could avoid detection from most sensory items.

Previously, Xu Feng had yet to undergo any changes, so he failed to spot the anomaly either.

Just when Xu Feng was about to leave the exclusive lot to get some signal on his phone to contact Zhao Kai, his ears suddenly perked up.

”Hmm, it seems like a platform is descending.” He could tell a platform of a substantial size descending, so he waited patiently.

A few moments later, the concrete wall opened up and the first thing Xu Feng heard was a tearful cry.

”Feng, you are finally here.” Zhao Kai shouted and rushed toward him as soon as the steel bar lowered. He practically lunged forward and was about to pounce on Xu Feng.

Alarmed, Xu Feng swiftly shifted his steps to the side on instinct and avoided being pounced on.

CRASH!

Failing to grab a hold of Xu Feng, the latter immediately crashed straight to the ground. Filled with grief and confusion, Zhao Kai glanced at Xu Feng, who was already 3 meters away from him.

While Zhao Kai didn’t get a clear view as to how he missed the target, both Allison and Alfred’s eyes widened in surprise. Allison saw a mirage as Xu Feng seemed to have teleported away.

Given that she wasn’t an Energy Force fighter, there was a limited perspective in her judgment on Xu Feng’s action.

However, Alfred nearly wanted to rush forward and plead with Xu Feng to participate in the city competition as well.

’Such ghost-like movement. Even I couldn’t see it all.’ Alfred was practically agitated.

Seeing his agitation, Xu Feng understood that his action must have affected Alfred.

In front of an expert, it was hard for him to deceive about his earlier movement.

Thus, he simply stepped forward and cupped his fist.

”Greetings, Elder Alfred. I’m Xu Feng, and you can just call me Feng. Today, I’m here to watch my friend in the competition and enjoy the show.” He calmly said, directly revealing his intention of not wanting to participate in the city competition.

Some might question him for being stupid to not join a city competition and guarantee a promotion. But the truth remained that Xu Feng was wary of the higher-graded cities.

There would always be a higher mountain, and this became true when Xu Feng understood what kind of higher mountains there were.

As of this moment, Xu Feng’s real-life identity had no background except for being affiliated with the Vanguard Guild.

If he were to gain any more fame and trigger others who were capable of suppressing him in the real world, then Xu Feng would be in a lot of trouble.

Troubles that could be avoided.

Why should he actively seek obstacles?

Alfred seemed to be a bit disappointed when Xu Feng made it clear that he was only there as a spectator. Nevertheless, the disappointment was only brief as he still held confidence in Zhao Kai’s ability.

”Alright, let’s save the conversation for later. We should ascend upward and introduce you to my peers.” Alfred urged and dragged Xu Feng toward the platform.

Allison also took this time to greet him. ”We haven’t seen each other for a while, and you seem different.”

”Different in appearance?” Xu Feng mused.

”More like the temperament and aura,” Allison said and pointed out that he gave her a sense of familiarity and unfamiliarity. It was really difficult for her to pinpoint exactly what it was.

”Wait, don’t leave me behind!” As the steel bar was about to be raised, Zhao Kai panickingly shouted.
