Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 786: Evelyn

Despite her flirtatious and seemingly easy going nature, Evelyn was extremely wary of Xu Feng.

ʼZyron went offline, which meant he failed PK and KS. PocketAim and Reckoner both failed to stop Cool Wind. Just what kind of ability is this Honorary Elder hiding?ʼ Evelyn wondered silently.

She dared not make a move unless she was certain of her enemyʼs ability.

The information she received also seemed to be inaccurate as well. After all, PocketAim and Reckoner werenʼt just some average players. They were elite and trained for a ton of situations.

They were taught to do whatever they could to stall their enemies if the gap was too large and inform their team on what to watch out for.

However, both of them failed to do so.

Their status screens were also completely darkened, indicating they had been forcefully logged out. Since it was clear that they couldnʼt possibly revive, their only option was to log out and send the messages in the real world.

That was what Evelyn had in mind until she was informed that the intruder had already advanced so fast to the cityʼs gate. She couldnʼt allow such an unknown variable into the city and possibly assist the demoness Summoner.

Amidst her predicament, she suddenly heard the intruder speaking.

”It seems like the situation inside isnʼt going great.” Xu Feng mused. Similar to how Evelyn was analyzing him, it was vice versa for him as well. Had Evelyn acted arrogant and made her move from the start, then Xu Feng suspected that things were definitely going awry.

However, based on her inaction, it was obvious that she was wary of him and the possibility of failure.

Only those who werenʼt confident in their plan would have such wariness.

”It might not be going great, but itʼs still favorable for us,” Evelyn responded after a short while. She understood that trying to lie here would only make herself look terrible.

”Anyway, the conversation is over.” Xu Feng suddenly exclaimed and retrieved multiple grenades. He hurled them toward the location that had players secretly still hiding.

The only reason why he bothered to converse and allowed them to stall was because he wanted to sniff these rat bastards out.

As if he would be foolish enough to believe the enemies this time were just going to reveal their cards immediately.

Since he had already determined the enemies were at different levels, then his battle mindset was naturally adapted to fit the situation.

”Not good!” Alarmed, Evelyn clicked her tongue when she witnessed the grenadesʼ position. They were all hurled toward the Assassins she had ordered to conceal themselves with Stealth.

Assassins held great DPS against players, but their defense was also the worst. Of course, to balance their weak defense was high agility.

However, the problem was that the grenades thrown at them werenʼt just one or two. Heck, it wasnʼt even three, four, five, but rather, ten of them.

And they were all precisely thrown at all possible escape paths.

Despite the healers trying their best to cast shields for the Assassins, the grenadesʼ power when stacked was so overwhelming.

KABOOM!

In an instant, all 15 Assassins were annihilated—without ever getting a chance to actually reveal themselves.

Dust scattered everywhere, and Evelynʼs expression darkened. She frowned heavily at the development. Each of these Assassins was geared with the best possible equipment.

To lose them all because of some grenades was truly humiliating.

However, Evelyn would have thought that was the only humiliation she received.

”Thank you for stalling for so long and allowing me to discover them. Youʼre really generous.” Xu Feng said, placed his hand by his chest, and bowed slightly.

The gesture was sincere and seemingly warmhearted. But precisely because it was so sincere that made everyone in the scene speechless.

If it was truly something to be sincere about, then naturally that was a good gesture.

”Just how many more grenades do you have?” Losing her composure, Evelyn clenched her fist and questioned.

”I donʼt know. Probably as much as your old age.” Xu Feng rubbed his chin and continued, ”Maybe around 60ish?”

”...”

The absolute disrespect was real.

So what if Evelyn was some beauty?

Did Xu Feng ever care about gender?

All along, he had only identified people as three types in the Divine World.

Friend, Neutral, and Enemy.

Of course, each of the types had their in-depth, but one thing was certain for all to understand. Those who were identified as enemies in Xu Fengʼs eyes would receive zero mercy.

”You!” Enraged, Evelyn raised her finger and pointed at Xu Feng. ”How could you call me old when Iʼm still in my youth?”

She had finally lost her composure upon being called an old woman in a roundabout manner.

Age for a woman was like the unspoken rule to never be intruded. Either you call them forever 21 or you donʼt ever talk about their age in general.

”Sorry, but I thought you were very old to be capable of ordering these bunch of old men around.” Xu Feng shrugged.

”Ugh, youʼre so frustrating and annoying.” At last, Evelyn decided to throw out her cautious behavior. ”Xavier, hurry up and surround him. I doubt he has that many grenades around. Heʼs definitely bluffing us.”

”Right away!” In the blink of an eye, Xavier roared and signaled for them to launch all their attacks at Xu Feng.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng remained in position and cast a mini shield around him.

”Oh no, the old grandma got infuriated. Can I possibly survive the onslaught? Is this my retribution for speaking the truth?” He cried aloud and repeatedly called Evelyn old.

The fact that he even went as far as addressing her as grandma infuriated not only Evelyn but the rest of the players who had been admiring her since her appearance.

”Screw this honorary elder!”

”How dare he call a goddess like Evelyn old?”

”Take my ultimate skill!”

Soon, multiple players started to cast their ultimate skills without holding anything back. The players who went all out were the men whereas the women were still subtle about it.

After all, some of them were jealous and envious of Evelynʼs look. But most of them were irritated by the men in their guild.

Were they blind?

How could they not see their beauty and only have eyes for Evelyn?

Hmph, men, right?

Just like that, the intense and dreadful atmosphere turned into a complete clown festival, with many wanting to bombard Xu Feng.
