Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 774: Investing

With Carmen taking over the right side, it became apparent that the pressure on the right side had lessened tremendously. The battlefield became no different than players hunting mobs for experience points daily.

”Phew, another large experience point. This isnʼt even a challenge anymore.” A Berserker laughed maniacally in joy.

”You donʼt say?” A Gun Knight sneered. ”A major event was supposed to be deadly, but with the Vanguard Guild, it became a grinding event.”

”Shut up! You actually try to KS a monster from me?” Another Gun Knight suddenly cursed at them. ”Donʼt try to distract us with your words and think I havenʼt paid attention.”

”Tsk, itʼs just one monster. Thereʼs many more here.”

Scenes of their fellow teammates kill stealing the monsters were happening everywhere. Of course, none of them actually escalated the matter into something big.

They were all just bantering and having some fun to relax their minds and stress. After all, even without the Colossusʼ presence to deal with, the monsters were still extremely high in number.

Who could grind for hours without any entertainment or conversation?

Only psychopaths could grind for that long without any other activities and remain sane.

Seeing the scene occurring, Gentle Wind was also equally speechless. Since the situation was somewhat less intense, she didnʼt feel the need to scold these people for acting in such a manner.

”Autumn—” Just when she wanted to call her for her friend, she realized Autumn Breeze wasnʼt present.

”Eh, where did she go?” Confused, she turned to SilentWhisper.

”Autumn stayed behind to converse with the Honorary Elder of Vanguard Guild,” SilentWhisper answered.

”...”

Gentle Wind facepalmed when she realized her friend was once again going behind her back to take advantage of the situation.

ʼUgh, I should have followed her example.ʼ She lamented silently.

On the surface, Autumn Breeze appeared to be a member of the Silver Wind Guild, but none of them knew she was secretly the boss of another guild. What was worse was that she still hadnʼt figured out what the guild Autumn Breeze secretly controlled.

”Should I call her over?” SilentWhisper then suggested when she saw Gentle Wind frowning.

”No need. I canʼt even control her.” Gentle Wind shook her head.

In the end, Autumn Breeze was still considered her senior and someone who supported her in the real world. Not to mention, they were besties, so what could she do about it?

”Letʼs just focus on killing as many monsters as possible. Itʼll save us a lot of time from grinding later on in the future.” She then said, having decided to follow the other members to slay more monsters for experience points.

And no one knew if the System was a bit disgruntled by the major event being turned into a joke at Dawnshire City, but the monsters swarming the city had their levels increased by 2-5.

Additionally, the difficulty to slay them was increasing, but not to the point of impossible. It simply took them a few more coordination and effort to kill.

While this was happening, back at the front, Autumn Breeze failed to achieve her objective once again.

”Ugh, your Vanguard Guild really doesnʼt like investors.” Autumn Breeze pursed her lips when she expressed her desire to invest a little into their guild.

Based on the lie that Xu Feng had orchestrated in regard to his Honorary Elderʼs position, he stated that he purchased 1% of the guildʼs stock to legitimize his role.

And with a person like Autumn Breeze whose real identity was Zhao Xin, otherwise known as the decisive and ruthless businesswoman in the industry. She would be a fake if she didnʼt wish to dabble her hand in a rising guild.

”You should just forget about trying to take a piece of the cake on the Vanguard Guild.” Xu Feng kindly suggested. ”Your Project Genesis has been earning you a lot of money so far. Iʼve heard you invested a lot in Adventure Teams more than Guilds.”

”Ahem, the money earned was nice, but definitely not as much as yours.” Autumn Breeze cleared her throat and said. Ever since she had proposed and passed the Project Genesis to the shareholders at Zhao Enterprise, the result had been great.

Even the shareholders who were hesitant at first and only agreed due to the majority, began to change their onlook.

They began to praise her and wholeheartedly supported the project now that the Divine World had slowly corrupted everyone into joining.

What was supposedly just a game began a phenomenal moment. Many jobs started opening everywhere and their focus was all on the Divine World.

And for the Zhao Enterprise who had gambled and won, became known as one of the pioneers in Avalon City. Their stock market increased by 30%, with many eager to cooperate with them.

Yet despite such an increase in revenue, Autumn Breeze realized they were still lacking in comparison to the Vanguard Guild.

”Oh, what kind of nonsense is that? Our guild barely earns over half a million from the stream?” Xu Feng mused.

”Yes, only half a million dollars from the stream, but over billions in terms of gold coins.” Autumn Breeze corrected. Monetary value was only good if it was in demand. Nowadays, real-life dollars are worthless when compared to the gold coins in the Divine World.

Some might call it ridiculous, given it was just virtual currency and not even real money. But the truth was that those who called it as such were the ignorants. A gold coin could easily be compared to a weekʼs salary—or sometimes more, depending on the demand.

Of course, not just anyone could earn a gold coin easily. On average, a regular player could only make about 20-50 silver coins per week.

After all, they needed to factor in the cost of equipment maintenance, and the distance travel required for turning in missions.

”Anyway, are you sure your guild wonʼt even let me invest for 1%?” Autumn Breeze asked again, clearly persistent in the matter.

”No can do.” Xu Feng shook his head. ”I have no authority in this kind of matter.”

Amidst their conversation, they were suddenly interrupted by Carmen.”What kind of matter?”
