Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 753: Dusk Sky’s Intention

When Carmen declared that she alone was enough to suppress Colossus, the crowd nearly went insane from shock.

They were shocked because they believed Carmen was overconfident and severely underestimated the Colossuses.

Who wasnʼt arrogant when the Colossus first made their appearance? Many players hoped to become famous by killing one of them as an achievement and trophy.

However, reality had shown them how ridiculous their intention was. The Colossus was not some regular monster that could be slain easily.

It wasnʼt even an exaggeration to say the Colossus was a boss monster greater than a large-scale hell-mode difficult boss.

ʼThe Vanguard Guild is really greedy…ʼ Even Iceheart was taken aback by the conduct of the Vanguard Guild. Not only did they take payments from both parties, but they had the audacity to send one person and said it was enough.

If it hadnʼt been for the Vanguard Guildʼs previous help in suppressing Riverbane, then Purple Flame would have flipped out by now and kicked them out for such a joke.

”Iʼm sorry, but a merger between our two guilds is simply impossible.” Purple Flame responded.

To merge meant sharing information about their guild membersʼ data.

As if Purple Flame would be generous enough to share such information with her rival.

Sure, they might be in truce, but it was still in agreement to act as their own entity while providing ample support for each other.

And on the off-chance that the Vanguard Guild expected both Riverbane and Phoenix Guild to share their confidential data with them to act as the commanding lead.

Then Purple Flame would request a refund and refuse their help.

”It seems like Purple Flame is still unaware of the situation.” Carmen snickered and proceeded to share the data that Xu Feng had sent to her.

”Green Vine City, Silvercrest City, and Thornhold City had already fallen and turned into a base for the Colossus. Theyʼre now labeled as a monster city and a threat.” She informed them lightly

After informing them of such news, Carmen stared deeply into Purple Flameʼs eyes. ”If the two of you donʼt merge and support me thoroughly, then Red Forest City will become another monster city. At that time, who the hell cares about your guild anymore?”

”This isnʼt how one does business after receiving our payment though.” Purple Flame argued.

”Hah, then you might as well take your exit and migrate to another city.” Dusk Sky suddenly laughed and said, ”I donʼt mind a merger and allowing Guild Commander Lunar Wraith to take the command. Our Riverbane is willing to do our utmost effort to support you.”

”Dusk Sky— you!” Startled, Purple Flame was dumbfounded by Dusk Skyʼs intention.

Who didnʼt know the sole beneficiary of such action would only be the Vanguard Guild?

”Purple Flame, you should really take a closer look at the situation.” Dusk Sky suddenly said.

”Our Guild is currently in a predicament, but weʼre still willing to offer a price more than you. Do you know why? Itʼs because Iʼve learned my lesson and believe the Vanguard Guild is the key to our success.” He admitted.

Ever since he had to pay a huge sum of compensation to the Vanguard Guild, he decided to do his research. When he discovered the countless miracles performed by a supposedly ”upstart” guild, Dusk Sky nearly got a fright.

As if he would believe the Vanguard Guild was built on top of nothing. There was definitely someone acting behind the scenes—a person like Eclipse Nova should be belonging to some ultra-hidden clan or family.

To pay a large fee to ensure Riverbane wonʼt be targeted and could be seen in goodwill by the Vanguard Guild was worth it. Not to mention, paying this high would offset the previous incident.

ʼWeʼve only targeted the Phoenix Guild and not the Vanguard Guild. The Vanguard Guild is fair in its judgment and never targeted others who didnʼt offend them.ʼ Dusk Sky thought to himself.

Sure enough, his decision and intent worked wonderfully this time.

”You.” Carmen pointed at him and gave a nod. ”Clever to realize the situation and understand what to do. Make sure to have your people gather up so I can allocate the manpower.”

”Guild Commander Lunar Wraith can rest assured.” Dusk Sky smiled lightly.

”Please accept my friend request so I can message and send you all the necessary details of my guild members.” He added.

ʼFriend request?ʼ Startled, Carmen realized she had never really added Xu Feng as a friend.

She was only able to check on his status through the guild and even then, Xu Feng usually had his status in incognito mode. The message itself was allowed simply because she accepted, to begin with.

”No need, just send me a message request.” Carmen softly spoke. Since Xu Feng was the first person who actually stood and encouraged her in the Divine World, she wanted to make sure he was added first. Veronica didnʼt count in her book as she already knew her in the real world.

Naturally, her intent was mistaken by Dusk Sky, who thought it was still too early to befriend Carmen.

Meanwhile, Flame Bird quickly let out a small snicker from behind. Unlike Iceheart and Purple Flame who remained nonchalant due to their status, Flame Bird had no need to worry about such things.

Sometime later, Dusk Sky swiftly sent out all the necessary data to Carmen, and Purple Flame also did the same. She had no choice either, given that she couldnʼt afford the Vanguard Guild to be attracted to Riverbane.

With all the necessary information in hand, Carmen nodded and told them to resume their business until she was done with her planning.

”But what about the monster wave that is arriving soon?” Purple Flame inquired. What she meant was that there wasnʼt much time for them to waste.

”Wasnʼt it because of your hesitation that the matter was delayed?” In response, Carmen swiftly pinned the blame on her.

”Also, Iʼve made some preparations beforehand to delay the monster waveʼs arrival. All you need to do now is gather your members and have them arrive here soon.” She commanded and exited the area through a Void Portal.
