Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

Berserker! Baili Shouyue! Junluo Guild’s Points-Based Reward and Punishment SystemJust then, a bystander suddenly shouted loudly, “Look! The second wave of monsters has appeared!”

“They are level 32 Berserkers!”

Following his gaze, almost all the onlookers immediately noticed that right after the Bloodthirsty Wolfhounds died, a large wave of “Berserkers” clad in black armor streamed in from the direction of Emerald Garden!

They seamlessly connected with the previous main force of Bloodthirsty Wolfhounds, taking over the attack on the Jun Luo Guild.

Bai He and other high-ranking members of the Jun Luo Guild naturally also received this intelligence.

Bai He calmly responded, “All Mage Corps players immediately cease fire! Do not use any skills on the Berserkers!”

“Archer Corps, full firepower!”

“Berserkers only have E-rank armor; physical output is extremely effective against them!”

“We only need four volleys at most to easily resolve this wave of Berserker attacks.”

Bai He could confidently point out the Berserkers’ taboos and weaknesses, which was naturally due to the intelligence team of the Jun Luo Guild.

During the three days they spent preparing for the monster siege, they had thoroughly researched the more prominent monster groups residing in Emerald Garden.

They knew that once Berserkers took magic damage, they would immediately enter a berserk state!

Their attack, dual speed, and critical hit rate would surge dramatically!

Players of the same level would simply be unable to withstand it!

However, conversely, if no magic was used against the Berserkers and they were dealt with purely by physical attacks, they would not enter a berserk state.

They could be directly killed in their normal state!

The difficulty was much simpler compared to using magic attacks.

Because of this intelligence, the Jun Luo Guild’s Mage Corps collectively ceased their attacks, while the Archer Corps went all out!

Dense arrows, like flying locusts, covered the sky and rained down on the center of the BerserkerTeam.

“Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh!!!!”

A huge volley of Arrow Rain immediately riddled more than 500 Berserkers in the very center like sieves!

More than half of the Berserkers, those on the more peripheral positions, continued to approach the Jun Luo Guild’s city walls.

Suddenly, a person stood out on a high slope to the west of the city wall.

He raised his hand and drew his bow into a full moon shape, then roared, “Torrential Rain Shot!”

“Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh!!!!”

Countless arrows continuously shot out from the bow in his hand!

In the blink of an eye, dense arrows filled the entire sky, then drizzled down, all striking the center where the Berserkers were gathered.

Hundreds of Berserkers took arrows to the head.

Each Berserker fell decisively after taking a maximum of two powerful arrows.

“Whoosh—!”

“Guild Leader is awesome!”

“Guild Leader is handsome!”

A burst of cheers erupted from the Archer Corps!

Hundreds of Jun Luo Guild Archer players collectively reached a climax.

In this wave, the person who had just stood out on the high slope single-handedly eliminated over 200 Berserkers!

He cleared out a large empty space in the Berserker ranks in a short time!

This attack was instantly exhilarating!

It also made all the players in the Archer Corps even more dedicated.

Everyone exerted their full strength, shooting arrows at the Berserkers.

After a mere twenty seconds, the number of Berserkers drastically decreased by more than half!

Seeing that this second wave of monsters was about to be successfully repelled by the Jun Luo Guild, Bai He and the other high-ranking members of the Jun Luo Guild smiled brightly and introduced Ye Xingyu:

“The player who just used Torrential Rain Shot to instantly kill a large group of Berserkers is none other than the current Archer Corps Leader of the Jun Luo Guild—Baili Shouyue!”

“A level 30 Archer expert who has completed his second advancement!”

“He possesses an A-rank Archery Mastery talent.”

“Baili Shouyue has grown rapidly since he first entered deep space! His position in the Archer domain has consistently remained in the T1 tier from beginning to end.”

“He is a rare talent!”

Baili Shouyue’s “Torrential Rain Shot” earlier was truly splendid!

If he hadn’t stepped forward and greatly boosted the morale of the Archer Corps, the Jun Luo Guild clearly wouldn’t have achieved such a great victory so easily, as they did now.

Ye Xingyu witnessed the entire process and nodded in agreement with Bai He and the others’ recommendation.

He rarely showed a slight smile and said to those around him, “Baili Shouyue is indeed a rare talent. Remember to cultivate him well.”

“Baili Shouyue alone has made a great contribution to this city defense. According to the guild’s system, reward him with 200 additional guild points.”

Guild points were part of the Jun Luo Guild’s reward and punishment system for guild members, which had been drafted long ago.

After players in the guild earned points, they could freely choose and exchange any treasures, equipment, etc., from the guild’s treasure vault.

Half of the treasures in the vault were provided by Ye Xingyu.

These included equipment he had dropped in the wild, various spoils of war, and good items he had acquired from the auction house.

The other half were good items obtained from guild activities organized by Bai He.

Inside were weapons for all professions, equipment, high-grade consumables, and even high-grade skill books, gold artifacts… and all sorts of other good things!

As Ye Xingyu and the Jun Luo Guild grew stronger, the good items they dropped and placed in the treasure vault became more numerous!

The variety became more complete.

Almost all players in the Jun Luo Guild could find treasures they deeply desired in the treasure vault!

It was like a woman walking into the world’s top luxury brand stores or diamond jewelry necklace boutiques.

Her eyes would light up at all the sparkling luxury items in the store!

She would have an intense desire to own everything!

The Jun Luo Guild’s treasure vault was such an existence.

Even gold artifacts and dark gold artifacts, which were hard to find on the market, had at least 15 pieces collected in the Jun Luo Guild’s treasure vault!

As long as your guild points were sufficient, you could exchange for gold equipment and dark gold equipment for free at any time!

To establish a treasure vault with enough appeal, Ye Xingyu spared no expense.

He even put in seven or eight priceless dark gold artifacts!

In fact, this was related to Ye Xingyu’s many years of experience managing guilds in his previous life.

He knew that the most important thing for a guild was to establish a good reward mechanism!

Only when there were high-value prizes in the guild that could attract everyone’s attention could the passion and enthusiasm of all guild members be maximized!

It would make all of them willing to put in their greatest effort, hard work, and dedication for the guild!

As long as they made sufficient contributions to the guild, Ye Xingyu would not be stingy with their rewards!

When he had extra purple gold artifacts, Ye Xingyu had even planned to put purple gold artifacts into the Jun Luo Guild’s treasure vault as well, to provide for everyone to exchange!

Of course, the higher the value and quality of the treasure one wished to exchange, the higher the required guild points.

This was the point reward system established by the Jun Luo Guild.

In addition to satisfying all guild members to use points to exchange for equipment and choose their own equipment, it also greatly ensured fairness.

Ye Xingyu knew that if he wanted to build a successful and powerful guild, these things were indispensable.

Upon hearing that Ye Xingyu agreed to give Baili Shouyue extra reward points because of his brilliant performance, Bai He and the other high-ranking members of the Jun Luo Guild couldn’t help but show envious looks on their faces.

This showed how attractive the treasures in the guild’s treasure vault were to everyone.

The Jun Luo Guild’s morale soared, and soon after, they annihilated over 95% of the Berserkers!

Seeing that the second wave of monster siege was about to be stopped by them again, many onlookers showed complex expressions.

The unparalleled morale, unity, and incredibly fervent atmosphere displayed by the Jun Luo Guild during this monster siege made many onlookers feel involuntary jealousy!

Someone said in a half-joking, half-serious tone, “Holy crap! Is the Jun Luo Guild that fierce?”

“Even a group of level 32 monsters can’t pose any threat to them?”

“Since the monster siege began, the monsters from Emerald Garden haven’t even been able to get close to the Jun Luo Guild’s city walls.”

“Isn’t that a bit too weak?”

“Damn it! I really want to use magic to provoke the Berserkers and help them enter a berserk state! I want to see if the Jun Luo Guild can still hold on in such a situation!?”

...“Oh my! Are you serious?”

...Many people said jokingly.

Ultimately, no one dared to actually provoke the Berserkers in front of the Jun Luo Guild.

It might also be because they realized that the number of Berserkers remaining was already small.

Even if they were provoked now, it would be too late.
