Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

The top war god guild in Xia Kingdom! The hope for defeating the boss!Thousands of players who had previously surrounded the Oasis Watcher.

The dead were dead, the wounded were wounded, and the fleeing had fled.

In the blink of an eye, the area became empty.

The War God Family, who had been waiting for a long time at a slightly farther distance, was ready.

The leader, War God, immediately shouted excitedly:

”Excellent! These trash players have finally been completely cleared out by the boss!”

”Do these mixed-bag individuals really think they can deal with a purple gold grade boss?”

”Hmph! What wishful thinking!”

”Second Brother, Third Brother, Fourth Brother, Fifth Brother, Sixth Brother, Seventh Brother, Eighth Brother!”

”It’s our time to shine!”

”Only our War God Family can defeat a purple gold grade area boss!”

”Everyone, lead your teams and charge!”

...”Yes, Big Brother!”

Just as the boss was driving away the numerous casual players, the War God Family, who had already made full preparations, suddenly charged out.

Leading their ten thousand guild members, they replaced the casual players and stood on the front line against the boss!

”Tanks, push forward together! Surround the boss completely!”

”Archers and Mages, spread out and focus fire!”

”Healers, keep a close eye on the tanks’ health bars! Once their HP percentage drops below 50%, immediately cast instant heals! Don’t worry about overhealing!”

”Everyone, take your positions! I’ll reward you handsomely after we kill the boss!”

...The commander from the War God Family, War God 3, had previously commanded over 1000 spectacular boss battles in different games.

Most of the guild’s veterans even revered War God 3’s command as divine.

Everyone acted together, maximizing organizational efficiency.

Immediately, 50 pure tank players, meticulously trained by the War God Guild, surrounded the boss.

They physically held shields taller than themselves with both hands, tightly squeezing the boss in the middle!

These pure tank players, from the very first level of the game, had put all their attribute points into pure constitution, not wasting a single free attribute point on offensive stats.

At the same time, they bought the maximum number of attribute points available every day, without missing a single day!

Their equipment was also prioritized by the War God Guild.

Everyone wore pure tank sets with the highest constitution, highest defense, and most HP.

Furthermore, all the skills and talents they learned were related to damage resistance, damage reduction, increasing armor, shields, elemental resistance, and healing!

Therefore, these 50 meticulously crafted players—their attributes, skills, talents, equipment... everything—was all about defense and damage resistance.

If only considering HP, defense, constitution, elemental resistance, and their ability to withstand boss damage, these 50 individuals were dozens of times superior to normal players!

Perhaps even more!

After the Oasis Watcher’s movement space was severely restricted, large areas of green thorns suddenly grew from its body, enveloping all 50 tank players in one go.

”-295!”

”-295!”

”-292!”

”-292!”

”-301!”

”-301!”

...All the tank players enveloped in the grassy green thorns immediately saw clear bleeding damage numbers pop up above their heads.

The values were around 300.

Compared to the previous group of ordinary players who suffered 700+ thorn bleeding damage, the HP lost per second was more than halved!

Furthermore, the HP limit of these elite tanks, under the enhancement of skills, talents, equipment, attribute points, and other conditions, reached over 30,000 points per person!

Far exceeding ordinary players by several times!

Among them, 2 players with S-grade defensive talents had HP limits exceeding 100,000 for one, and 50,000 for the other.

However, the latter’s physical and magical defense attributes directly exceeded 1500!

It was even higher than the defense of a silver boss of the same level!

Ordinary players were vastly different from him!

This was the confidence of the War God Guild, a well-known top guild in Xia Kingdom that had become famous in countless games!

The Oasis Watcher’s thorn bleeding damage only caused a 1% HP loss per second to the elite tank players.

The group of priests and Healers standing in the back row didn’t even bother to heal them in advance:

”It’s a full 30,000+ HP.”

”What’s the rush?”

They could endure being enveloped in the green thorns for at least 100 seconds, which reassured the Healers.

At the same time, the War God Guild’s Mage Corps, Warrior Corps, and Archer Corps—the three main damage-dealing teams—were also exerting their full power.

”Focus fire!”

With a simple command, over three thousand different forms of spells and more than three thousand arrows rained down on the boss’s head almost simultaneously!

”-155!”

”-126!”

”-170!”

”-222!”

”-334!”

...Damage numbers immediately popped up continuously above the boss’s head, densely packed in a short period.

It was practically a blessing for those with trypophobia.

Instantly, the Oasis Watcher boss’s HP plummeted like mercury, dropping by over 600,000 in one go!

All the previous casual players and several small player teams combined had only managed to take down 100,000 of the boss’s HP.

But the War God Guild’s first move was extraordinary!

The boss’s HP bar that was instantly wiped out was more than 6 times that of the casual players!

The Oasis Watcher, with a total of 4.1 million HP, saw its HP drop to about 82% in an instant... The large number of casual players who had run away earlier because they felt they couldn’t defeat the boss, as well as the more than thirty thousand other players who had not yet entered the fray, couldn’t help but let out loud exclamations after witnessing the War God Guild’s extraordinary performance:

”Wow—! As expected of the famous, top-tier War God Guild of Xia Kingdom!”

”Their first move is truly exceptional!”

”They took down 15% of the boss’s HP in one go!”

”If they repeat this kind of attack a few more times, won’t they just take down the boss on the spot!???”

”I’m shocked for a whole year (⊙o⊙)”

...”This is online gaming! The power of numbers is an eternal truth!”

”Tens of thousands of players attacking together can immediately take down hundreds of thousands of HP from a purple gold grade boss.”

”This collective power is simply unmatched by any single player.”

”Before, so many people blindly idolized individual heroism like Angel, Baby, and Falling Nine Heavens.”

”In my opinion, it’s all utterly ridiculous (*╹▽╹*)”

”Online games are still about the power of numbers!”

”Only top-tier guild forces like War God, Goddess Palace... can determine the future of Xia Kingdom!”

...”The leader of a top-tier guild is like the CEO, helmsman, or entrepreneur of a top 100 company in reality! They are the heroes of the entire nation!”

”Much stronger than some celebrities who only know how to put on a show!”

”If ordinary players want to follow stars, they should follow in the footsteps of the big guild leaders!”

”Stop giving Falling Nine Heavens, a casual player, any more screen time!”

”He’s not worth it at all!”

...”The analysis above is very accurate!”

”After seeing the War God Guild fight the purple-gold boss today, I realized how superficial I used to be.”

”I want to join the Goddess Palace Guild! At the very least, I want to join the War God Guild! I’ll never again be infatuated with individualism like Falling Nine Heavens!”

”The power of one person is simply negligible in the face of a collective!”

”Don’t compare Falling Nine Heavens to major guild forces like War God and Goddess Palace! He alone is nothing!”

”Online games are stronger with more people! Guilds are stronger! Having a strong backing is the strongest!”

”Wuwuwu... I’m sorry! My most respected Fallen God fell in a single day ＞︿＜ No matter how awesome you are alone, you can’t be more awesome than an entire guild ＞︵＜”

”From now on, I’m joining collectivism! My goal is to join a large guild and work hard!”

...The War God Guild’s display of power through focused fire instantly changed the minds of countless ordinary people.

It made the vast majority of ordinary players want to embrace the support of a guild.

”As the saying goes, it’s good to rest in the shade of a big tree.”

”The ancients did not deceive me.”

...Almost all the players present gave overwhelming positive reviews to the War God Guild.

Many of the previously observing players were even stirring!

Seeing the War God Guild’s might, it wouldn’t be long before they took down this boss!

Shouldn’t they hurry and join in?

So they could snatch equipment and loot later!

Many people began to harbor thoughts of trying to fish in troubled waters and steal the War God Guild’s achievements!
