Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

Infected, rotting corpses, pitiful peopleAfter picking up a few gold coins dropped by the Corrupted Black Cat, Ye Xingyu continued forward.

Along the way, new Corrupted Black Cats constantly appeared in his sight.

It seemed this was their territory.

Whenever Ye Xingyu saw a Corrupted Black Cat, he would unhesitatingly draw his arrow and shoot!

”-15112!”

”-15112!”

... The Corrupted Black Cat, with only 9800 HP, couldn’t even withstand one of Ye Xingyu’s normal attacks.

They all died within 1 second.

”Notification: Killed Corrupted Black Cat, gained 252 experience points.”

”Notification: Killed Corrupted Black Cat, gained 252 experience points.”

... Ye Xingyu shook his head slightly.

The Corrupted Black Cat was several levels lower than him, which resulted in a 40% reduction in experience points gained after killing it.

Only 60% of the experience points were received.

He silently moved deeper into the Corrupted Zone.

The Corrupted Black Cats he encountered along the way couldn’t hinder him in the slightest, so he advanced quickly.

However, other players he met along the way, whose levels were roughly between 25 and 28, struggled more when fighting the Corrupted Black Cats.

They needed to team up in groups of several people to handle one Corrupted Black Cat’s attack relatively easily.

Furthermore, due to the Corrupted creatures’ attacks carrying an ’erosion’ debuff, players scratched by a Corrupted Black Cat would suffer an additional 25% Dark Element damage.

If a priest didn’t cast a Purification spell to dispel the ’erosion debuff’ in time, the Corrupted Black Cat would deal increased damage to players with the debuff!

Therefore, some teams fighting Corrupted Black Cats presented a thrilling sight!

Even some tank players with high HP and defense would be flustered by the ’erosion debuff’ when facing Corrupted Black Cats, losing a large amount of health in a short period from the Corrupted Black Cat’s attacks!

Normal players were not having an easy time, so when some players occasionally saw Ye Xingyu easily instantly kill Corrupted Black Cats with a mere flick of his hand, they couldn’t help but gape, their eyes showing obvious surprise...

After some time, Ye Xingyu had already advanced 3 kilometers into the Corrupted Zone.

It must be said that players’ enthusiasm for farming lifespan and attribute points was very high.

Even here, there were still quite a few players actively farming monsters.

However, almost all of them were in teams.

The main monsters nearby had already changed from Corrupted Black Cats to entirely black ’Infected’ and a small number of ’Corpse’ wandering around.

[Infected!]

The Infected and Corpse had reached levels 30 and 32 respectively!

What surprised Ye Xingyu slightly was that the number of players had not decreased at all compared to the previous Corrupted Black Cat area.

Most of the player teams that could reach this far were medium-sized teams composed of 8 to 12 people.

Small teams of less than 6 people were extremely rare.

It was evident that the pressure from the Corrupted monsters on players was still very great!

At this moment, two people hurriedly walked past Ye Xingyu.

They were rushing and talking quickly:

”You look like you can barely walk, are you really okay?”

The other person, with hurried steps and looking somewhat strained, chased behind the first person.

Hearing this, he also complained greatly:

”Damn it! After being killed once by the Corrupted Grizzly Bear, I got a debuff that reduces all attributes by 10%!”

”It will take 24 hours to fully recover!”

”The worst part is, even my movement speed is reduced by 10%.”

”And I feel very tired, like I stayed up all night and didn’t sleep at all.”

”It’s really disgusting.”

The first person’s expression improved slightly:

”I heard that others who were killed also have similar after-effects.”

”Just hold on a little longer, the captain is waiting for us up ahead.”

”Once our team is complete, we’ll continue killing!”

The two adjusted their mindset and continued on their way!

Ye Xingyu heard everything they said.

It was obvious that their team had decided to keep farming monsters in the Corrupted Zone.

Therefore, even players who had died once had to rush back.

But what they didn’t know was that humans killed by the Dark Star and Corrupted creatures would have 10% of their remaining lifespan plundered, and all attributes reduced by 10% for 24 hours.

This was not the most frightening part.

If that poor person who had just died once were to die again at the hands of a Corrupted creature, then his remaining lifespan would decrease by another 10%!

All attributes would also be cumulatively reduced by 20% and last for a longer period.

In other words, if a person repeatedly died twice at the hands of Corrupted creatures, his remaining lifespan would sharply decrease by more than a decade in a short time!

If it happened multiple times, a person would not have many years left to live!

Ye Xingyu sighed.

The arrival of the Dark Star posed too great a threat to Blue Star.

Soon, those humans who had died multiple times at the hands of Corrupted monsters would learn their lesson.

That poor soul just now was merely one of them...

An ”Infected” dragged its slow feet towards Ye Xingyu.

Ye Xingyu immediately drew his bow.

”Blazing Flame Arrow!”

”Whoosh!”

”-14913!”

The Infected instantly died on the road a hundred meters away from Ye Xingyu.

An easy instant kill.

Currently, only Ye Xingyu could move so freely and even like a dragon in the Corrupted Zone.

The situation for other player teams looked far less optimistic.

Most players were just following the trend, hoping to gain lifespan and attribute points.

In the time that followed, Ye Xingyu went all out.

Almost all Infected and Corpse that appeared within his line of sight were instantly killed by a single arrow!

”Whoosh whoosh whoosh!”

”Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh!”

... In the Corrupted Zone where Ye Xingyu was, dozens to hundreds of flaming arrows erupted in a short time, instantly killing all Infected and Corpse within a hundred-meter radius!

And every arrow was an instant kill!

The other players nearby watched this scene in utter shock, all turning their gaze to Ye Xingyu.

”Wow!”

”It’s Fallen God!”

”Fallen God also came to the Corrupted Zone?”

... ”What nonsense! Who doesn’t want to live longer?”

... Wherever Ye Xingyu passed, nothing remained!

This was accompanied by the cheers of the surrounding players.

Since the Infected and Corpse were either lower level than Ye Xingyu or around the same level as him, they were not his target monsters.

Killing these small fry wouldn’t grant players the ability to extract attributes to reality.

Ye Xingyu eliminated them merely to clear some obstructing monsters.

With this highly efficient monster-killing speed, he was rapidly advancing towards the central core of the Corrupted Zone!

The closer one got to the range of the Dark Star’s erosion, the deeper the corruption, and the easier it was for monsters to inherit the Dark Star’s special energy, transforming into a complete Corrupted creature!

... Soon after, Ye Xingyu advanced several more kilometers.

The surrounding Corrupted creatures had already changed from Infected and Corpse to robust, giant bears!

Corrupted Grizzly Bears!

Their level had actually reached level 35!

Players who could continue farming monsters for attribute points and lifespan in this area were basically considered T1-level figures among the current players in Xia Kingdom!

Besides Ye Xingyu, who was T0 by himself, the nearby player groups were mainly composed of medium to large teams of over 100 people.

Ultra-small teams of less than 12 people were almost no longer seen.

Because the strength of the Corrupted Grizzly Bear was very high, if it wasn’t a tank cultivated by a large team, ordinary players would be slapped to death by a Corrupted Grizzly Bear!

This was absolutely not an exaggeration.

Ye Xingyu first glanced at the Corrupted Grizzly Bear’s attributes.

[Corrupted Grizzly Bear!]

Level: 35

HP: 17500 / 17500

Attack: 1750 ~ 1925

Defense: 705

Skills: Mighty Blow, Tear, Rage

Passive: Erosion Lv3

... ”Hiss!”

Compared to the previous Infected, Corpse, and Corrupted Black Cat, the Corrupted Grizzly Bear was a complete upgrade!

Ye Xingyu sighed slightly.

Then, he found an area with the largest number of Corrupted Grizzly Bears and began his performance.
