Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

The domain’s fury! The golden lord, a thousand-year-old tree spirit, rose from the ground! On the forums, the group of people who were criticizing Falling Nine Heavens for his slow leveling speed yesterday were all invisible today.

Instead, many players began to anticipate, ”Since Fallen God’s leveling speed is so fast, it proves that he hasn’t fallen!”

”If that’s the case, I’m really looking forward to the moment Falling Nine Heavens challenges the trial tower!”

”I wonder how many floors Fallen God can clear in the trial tower with his strength?”

”Can he surpass Angel, who is ranked first globally?”

Another day passed.

The trial tower rankings remained unchanged compared to yesterday.

On the global leaderboard for challenging the trial tower, the famous Lighthouse Country player, Angel, still held the first place with an impressive record of clearing 39 floors!

He maintained a huge lead of more than 10 floors over the second-ranked player, baby!

The top-ranked player in Xia Country, Walker Sun, was a full 14 floors behind Angel!

This immense disparity left many feeling disappointed.

Countless ordinary players in Xia Country began to hope in their hearts, ”Perhaps among all Xia Country people, only Falling Nine Heavens has the potential to break Angel’s record?”

”Will he do it?”

Meanwhile, Ye Xingyu was still continuously farming Treants.

Although the experience gained from the Treants had already decreased by 60% compared to the beginning, people are creatures of habit.

He was reluctant to leave a place with so many monsters that could be cleared quickly!

How difficult would it be to find another leveling spot with so many fire-weak monsters?

”Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!”

Countless Blazing Flame Arrows were fired in Rapid Fire!

Leaving dozens of burning flame areas on the ground.

Almost every second, several Treants died!

His experience value was still steadily increasing, slowly advancing towards level 27!

One minute later, the Treants within a hundred-meter radius were all cleared out.

As time passed, Ye Xingyu’s leveling routine became faster and faster.

He almost immediately ran towards another area without thinking.

Perfect leveling rhythm! It was exhilarating!

Ten seconds later, an unexpected scene occurred.

Ye Xingyu, following his usual habit, arrived at the next hundred-meter radius area.

But the hundreds of Camouflage Treants that should have spawned in this area had not spawned!

(⊙o⊙)?

”What happened?”

”This routine has always worked perfectly, cycling repeatedly!”

”After clearing the Treants in one area, the next area would just refresh.”

”Why is it different this time?”

Looking at the bare, empty space around him, Ye Xingyu couldn’t help but scratch his head.

His expression was a bit confused (⊙o⊙).

”The Treants suddenly stopped spawning?”

”I’ve never heard of monsters in deep space deliberately hiding from people (⊙o⊙)?”

Just then, the ground beneath Ye Xingyu’s feet vibrated violently: ”Rumble!”

The ground throughout the entire forest began to shake violently!

Trees trembled!

Countless birds hidden in the branches all flapped their wings and flew into the sky!

They were dense, like countless tiny raindrops.

At the same time, the ground cracked over a large area!

An earthquake!

”Boom!”

With a loud bang, a giant tree with a waist circumference exceeding a hundred meters in diameter suddenly rose from the center of the open space!

Without any warning!

The giant tree broke out of the ground!

It extended straight upwards in one go!

Reaching a height of a hundred meters in the sky!

Numerous branches and green leaves grew and spread from different heights of the giant tree!

In just a blink of an eye, an incredibly massive, sky-high ancient tree was born out of nowhere!

And it grew to its complete and flourishing state in a short period!

Its dense and lush canopy was so wide that it blotted out the sky!

The sunlight from above instantly dimmed by as much as ninety percent!

A rare, towering ancient tree suddenly stood before Ye Xingyu!

A prompt suddenly sounded in Ye Xingyu’s ear:

”Ding! Due to your massive slaughter of Treants, you have provoked the wrath of the local Gold Lord—the Thousand-Year Ancient Tree Spirit!”

”Attention! Friendly reminder to player! The level 30 Gold Lord Thousand-Year Ancient Tree Spirit’s rage value towards you is at its peak of 1000 points! It cannot temporarily transfer to other targets! Please escape and hide as soon as possible! Otherwise, the consequences are unpredictable!”

”Gah! (⊙o⊙)”

”So it was because too many Treants were cleared before, which provoked the boss’s anger!”

”That’s what caused the current changes.”

Ye Xingyu finally understood.

It turned out that he had bullied its descendants too much.

Making the Thousand-Year Ancient Tree Spirit, the old ancestor, incredibly angry, and it finally couldn’t help but appear!

He had heard before that if one farmed monsters in an area for a long time, once tens of thousands of monsters were eliminated, it would greatly increase the probability of encountering a boss!

He didn’t expect it to be true!

Ye Xingyu had lingered in the vicinity for several hours.

The total number of Treants eliminated today, even if not ten thousand, was at least several thousand!

No wonder it provoked the boss’s anger so much!

The system even specifically reminded him to be careful and hide.

Clearly, the Gold Lord still had a lot of prestige.

Ordinary players simply couldn’t contend with it alone.

System, you’re quite nice!

So understanding.

However, looking at the arrogant and obviously very powerful Thousand-Year Ancient Tree Spirit in front of him, after his initial confusion, Ye Xingyu’s lips gradually couldn’t help but curl up slightly.

”Level 30 Gold Boss?”

”This... this... this is too wonderful, isn’t it!?”

The extent to which his lips curled up slowly became harder than controlling recoil.

Ye Xingyu suddenly stopped pretending entirely!

He looked at the level 30 Gold Boss—the Thousand-Year Ancient Tree Spirit—with an extremely interested gaze!

Bosses that are level 30 or above and of Gold quality or higher have a chance to drop the incredibly precious early-game item—a guild founding token!

The holder of a guild founding token can go to various main cities to apply to establish a guild!

From then on, they can obtain official recognition and the power to form a guild!

At this time, guilds were not just verbal agreements between players.

Instead, they could obtain formal fiefdoms!

And then enjoy the power of a king within the domain of the fiefdom!

And they could tax other players within thestation.

As well as a series of attribute bonuses and guild bonus effects!

The benefits were incomparably huge compared to lone players!

Gold Bosses after level 30!

Because they can start dropping guild founding tokens, they are the most sought-after type of boss at a certain stage in deep space!

The difficulty of killing them won’t be too outrageous.

But if one is lucky, dropping a guild founding token can immediately yield astonishing profits!

Ye Xingyu’s eyes gradually shone as he looked at the Thousand-Year Ancient Tree Spirit.

”It really is a level 30 Gold Boss!”

”I didn’t expect such a good treasure to be delivered right to my doorstep.”

”Hehehe~ Eh hehe~ (º﹃º)”

Not only did Ye Xingyu not plan to leave, but he intended to stay and personally take down the Thousand-Year Ancient Tree Spirit!
