Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

The +20 Golden Hunting Bow has finally arrived! Players are buzzing about it.A large number of players gave rave reviews!

Immediately after, countless private messages requesting to join the VIP boxes flooded the auction house’s inbox.

Ye Xingyu arranged for staff to rent out all 90 extra VIP boxes at a price of 100,000 gold coins per box!

It only took less than 2 minutes for them all to be rented out!

It turned out there really were a large number of whale players who hadn’t managed to buy tickets for VIP boxes before.

Now, they all surged in at once.

The 100 VIP boxes were instantly sold out.

By this point, Ye Xingyu could no longer increase the number of VIP boxes.

The system simply wouldn’t allow it.

This move finally alleviated the urgent needs of 90 whale players.

The remaining players saw that renting a VIP box actually required an additional 100,000 gold coins.

Are you kidding me!

In that case, it’s better to sit in a chair and enjoy it for free!

It’s not that they couldn’t afford a VIP box; it’s that the open-air stands offered better value for money!

Ye Xingyu’s move satisfied both whale players and ordinary players at the same time!

Complaints and suggestions about the auction house instantly dropped by 99%... The auction continued!

More and more auction items, equipment, skill books, and so on were brought out.

However, the items being auctioned now were of a lower quality than the first few treasures.

Almost all of them were silver artifact, or even bronze-grade items.

The reason for this, of course, was that there weren’t that many gold artifacts.

Therefore, during the auction, it was inevitable that many silver artifact and bronze-grade items were mixed in.

At this stage, which family had the strength to bring out only gold artifacts for every single item?

Did they really think gold-grade equipment was so worthless that it was everywhere?

In reality, one needed to obtain over 10 million points from the event dungeon!

Only then would the system award a gold-grade gift box!

Across the entire Xia Country Server Region, only a very, very small number of players possessed gold-grade gift boxes.

This resulted in the output of gold artifacts being far lower than players’ expectations.

For most players, the treasure chests received were mainly black iron and bronze-grade.

Even silver artifact gift boxes were only available to a small number of people.

This led to the situation where the items at this auction were primarily silver grade.

There were only a small number of gold artifacts.

As for higher-grade dark gold equipment, there wasn’t a single piece!

In the entire Xia Country Server Region, only Ye Xingyu had over 100 million points!

Therefore, only he had received a dark gold gift box.

Everyone else had only received a gold-grade gift box at most.

This was also the reason why this auction attracted so many players to participate.

Soon, half an hour passed.

The auction items during this period were mainly silver artifact.

The players sitting in the regular audience seats had a blast during this time!

Because they finally managed to outbid VIP box players a few times and successfully won over a dozen items!

Meanwhile, the players in the 100 VIP boxes were slightly displeased.

They thought the recent auction items weren’t bad, but they always felt they weren’t as good as the first few gold artifacts!

In terms of quality, they were still a bit lacking.

But if you were to say they were bad, the players in the regular audience seats below were very enthusiastic about bidding!

Even silver artifact items were selling for tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even over 500,000!

Several items were successfully auctioned off!

Some excellent silver artifact items, when matched with the right class to use them, could actually provide a significant boost!

Therefore, they would also attract the favor and active bidding of some players!

Overall, at this stage, players’ demand for silver artifact and gold artifacts was similarly high!

Because most ordinary players were still wearing mostly bronze-grade equipment.

Even silver artifact could give them a huge boost...

Gradually, some whales in the VIP boxes started to yawn: ”Ah~~~~ When will the gold-grade equipment from the announcement come out? I’m already getting sleepy.”

This situation was actually half due to Ye Xingyu deliberately orchestrating it this way.

Because in his previous life, he had many experiences participating in auctions.

He knew that a successful auction should generally follow a ’tiger head – pig body – phoenix tail’ sequence for equipment auctions.

The ’tiger head’ was to attract all players from the very beginning, necessitating the display of good treasures.

The ’pig body’ was a compromise made to extend the duration of the auction.

After all, you couldn’t possibly have over 100 gold artifacts!

Therefore, it was impossible to keep players attracted from beginning to end.

The ’phoenix tail’ required saving a few rare, climactic items for the very end of the auction.

This would provide a perfect conclusion to the auction, keeping most players until the end.

At the same time, it would leave them with a deep impression that this auction had many treasures!

This could attract players to participate in future auctions!

So, both Ye Xingyu and Mother Fu were involved in the design of this auction.

Ye Xingyu checked the time.

He felt it was about right.

The items used to ’mix the fish eyes with pearls’ had been on for half an hour.

It was time for a batch of truly exquisite items to be brought out.

Things unfolded exactly as Ye Xingyu expected.

Soon after, when the next auction item was just presented, it immediately drew exclamations from most players present:

”Wow—! My legs are aching from anticipation! Finally, the golden hunter bow is being brought out!”

”Oh my god! It’s here, it’s here, it’s coming out riding on auspicious multi-colored clouds! Seven-colored legendary!”

That’s right.

The item suddenly brought out for auction was the golden hunter bow +20 that Ye Xingyu had previously used!

It was the only gold-grade weapon currently accessible to all players in the Xia Country Server Region that had been successfully enhanced 20 times.

Its value was absolutely maximized!

The entire sturdy bow was enveloped in a seven-colored glow, dreamlike and ethereal.

No one had ever witnessed such an exquisite weapon enhanced to +20 before!

Because most players who hadn’t pre-charged or obtained VIP status could only enhance their weapons and equipment up to +10.

They didn’t even have the qualification for +20.

And now, the golden hunter bow +20 was displayed before everyone’s eyes.

Countless players couldn’t help but be excited!

”This is a +20 exquisite weapon! It’s truly beautiful!”

”If only my sword were also +20 (✪ω✪)”

”Seriously, although the original level of this bow is only 10, its attack power after enhancement is comparable to a level 30 gold artifact! For me, it’s perfectly usable right now!”

Some people also mentioned:

”This bow was used by Falling Nine Heavens before, right? Since he’s willing to sell it, doesn’t that mean he’s obtained an even better weapon?”

”Are you being a country bumpkin? The number one weapon on the equipment leaderboard right now, that enhanced +20 dark gold bow, is Fallen God’s current weapon! For the great Fallen God, he definitely gets a better one before discarding his old weapon!”

”Hah! You’re making me feel so ashamed! My bronze bow is far inferior to what even a big shot discards ＞︿＜”

Many Archer players calculated.

So this weapon, originally only level 10, after being enhanced to +20, had significantly higher attack power than their level 15 silver artifact bows!

It truly shocked all Archer players!

”A +20 gold artifact! That’s really fierce!”

”Its attack power is a full 35% higher than my +10 silver artifact bow. The key is that my silver artifact bow is level 15, not level 10!”

”It can probably be used until level 30.”

...Most Archer players were very interested in the golden hunter bow!
