Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

The gold auction is about to begin! Everyone is eagerly anticipating it!Back inside the Golden Auction House.

Ye Xingyu first greatly expanded the number of windows for buying and selling equipment and items.

From the original 8 windows to 16 windows.

It doubled!

This increased the Golden Auction House’s equipment processing speed to twice its previous rate.

He also leased a batch of NPCs to handle related business.

There had to be enough staff.

Ten minutes later.

An unexpected system announcement echoed throughout the entire Xia Country Server Region:

”Ding! Xia Country Server Region Announcement:

Chunming City’s Golden Auction House will hold the first grand auction in Xia Country this Saturday at 8 PM!

At that time, the golden overlord spear, golden light sword, golden gauze robe, Strength of the Bear, Storm Leggings, golden hunter bow +20, and many other golden equipment pieces will be auctioned live!

There will also be countless all-profession equipment, consumables, and skill books for sale.

All players nationwide are welcome to participate in the bidding. Please look forward to it!”

”Ding! Xia Country Server Region Announcement:

...”

The auction advertisement was broadcast twice in a row.

Immediately, it caught the attention of all players nationwide!

”Holy cow! An auction is being held? Who is so rich that they can get the system to advertise for them? I remember the fee isn’t low, right?”

In fact,

depending on the scope of the announcement,

the amount of gold coins players or organizations need to spend on advertising varies greatly.

For example, if the scope is limited to Chunming City,

the advertising fee would be 10 million gold coins!

And once the advertising scope is expanded to the entire Xia Country Server Region,

the advertising fee would instantly skyrocket tenfold,

reaching a terrifying sum of 100 million!

Soon, someone checked the relevant information.

And couldn’t help but exclaim:

”My goodness! A nationwide system announcement costs 100 million gold coins! Which buddy is so rich!? They haven’t even gained anything from holding an auction yet, and they’re already throwing 100 million into the water! Can you even make that back, big brother!?”

Players in Xia Country exclaimed one after another.

At the same time, from the system announcement,

one could directly click on the Golden Auction House’s location.

To pinpoint the location of the auction house opened by Ye Xingyu.

It was very convenient.

Actually,

a nationwide advertisement costs 100 million.

Ye Xingyu had the nationwide announcement sound twice in a row this time.

Therefore, he spent 200 million!

But this money,

Ye Xingyu believed was not a loss.

And it was necessary to spend it.

Because this was his first time advertising for his own auction house.

First, it had to resonate deeply.

Ye Xingyu, who had guild operation experience in his previous life, knew in his heart.

The operation of an auction house is somewhat similar to a guild.

That is, they must gradually, step by step, embed their reputation into the hearts of the vast number of players.

This is not something that can be done all at once.

So, for the first time,

it was crucial to leave an extremely deep impression on the audience!

This would be very beneficial.

Therefore, when spending money on advertising for the first time, one must not be stingy!

First, establish the reputation of the Golden Auction House!

Players nationwide, seeing how much the Golden Auction House could spend,

would instinctively feel that this auction house must be excellent!

Ye Xingyu’s nationwide advertisement quickly took effect.

Most players are very sensitive to system announcements.

Paying close attention to their content.

Especially information concerning equipment, items, and skill books.

In this early stage of resource scarcity,

players especially value ways to acquire various resources.

And auctions,

are clearly a way for the general public to obtain resources.

Countless people, through the system announcement,

clicked on the equipment listed.

Immediately, players started shouting:

”Holy cow! This golden overlord spear has heaven-defying attributes! It can stack a domineering passive! Once fully stacked, it’s equivalent to invincibility! It can also instantly kill opponents below level 10! The show-off effect is top-notch!”

”My goodness~ Isn’t this golden light sword made for me? I’m level 15 now, perfect for wearing a level 15 golden sword! A golden weapon! It’s a whole 200 attack higher than my current bronze sword! It’s simply too strong!”

”Wow~ Isn’t the golden hunter bow +20 the weapon of the great God Falling Nine Heavens from before?! Haven’t you all seen it? The big shot is level 20 now, and sold his old weapon! This is the first time we’ve seen a +20 enhanced weapon!”

...Countless players noticed these golden equipment pieces.

And could even browse the detailed attributes of each golden equipment piece.

This immediately sparked an extremely fierce discussion:

”Damn! The golden hunter bow +20 actually has nearly 800 attack power! That’s 400-500 higher than my level 15 silver bow!? This is too awesome! A level 10 weapon can be used until level twenty-something!”

”Enhanced 20 times, and it actually succeeded? What’s this big shot’s enhancement success rate? It’s harder for me to get a +10 than to climb into bed, this is truly infuriating...”

”Wuwuwuwuwu... Finally, I see someone in the same boat. I spent 1 million and only barely got my weapon to +10. My shoes, legs, chest, and bracers all got destroyed. Wuwuwuwuwu... I can’t even imagine a big shot’s +20.”

”Brothers, enhancement ruins lives! Don’t fall into it.”

”This isn’t right! Why can I only enhance my weapon to +10? How did +20 come about? Did he bribe the planner’s wife?”

”The person before me, I recharged 50 million when the server opened, and I can enhance equipment up to +12. There are ways.”

”Ah?”

”Isn’t this a monopoly?”

...”No! Didn’t everyone notice? The Golden Auction House is selling so much golden equipment? Including the golden hunter bow +20. Could the big shot behind this auction house be Falling Nine Heavens himself? Currently, only Fallen God has so many golden equipment pieces.”

”Hiss--!”

”The more I think about it, the more terrifying it gets!”

”I can’t say ( = ω = )”

...When it was discovered that the Golden Auction House might be related to the number one big shot on the rankings—Falling Nine Heavens—

it once again sparked a continuous and widespread heated discussion!

Players across the entire Xia Country Server Region,

were stirred into a tumultuous frenzy by these two sudden Xia Country Server Region announcements.

Ye Xingyu also successfully garnered the discussion he desired.

When numerous players talked among themselves,

they involuntarily helped spread the reputation of the Golden Auction House.

Allowing the Golden Auction House to resonate deeply with people.

At the same time, the astonishing news of the upcoming auction also spread.

Countless players had already

decided to attend the auction to see.

With the chance to acquire the equipment, skill books, or other items they desired.

Some of the true hidden big shots in the Xia Country Server Region,

also noticed the opening of the Golden Auction House.

Many big shots secretly pondered:

”Oh! The first deep space auction! I must attend and see!”

...”I want to see how many golden equipment pieces there really are! Six have already been announced! It would be great if I find something suitable for me.”

...”Robin sister, it seems like the auction is being held by the great God Falling Nine Heavens! Should we go join the fun too?”

...”Ah? Isn’t this golden overlord spear the weapon prepared for me?! In a few days, I’ll be level 20, and I just happen to lack a presentable spear-type weapon. This golden overlord spear is really good!”

...”Chunming City? Interesting. And Saturday, when the auction is held, is tomorrow! I must go see it!”

...Countless hidden heroes and magnates in Xia Country,

all had their eyes on tomorrow night’s auction!
