Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

The Flame Dance Breastplate! A bustling trading market! Auction planning!Next up, he set his sights on the Blazing Sun Robe nearby.

He only needed to glance at it once to see that the Blazing Sun Robe was a leather armor wearable by Archers.

Ye Xingyu waved his hand, not even checking the attributes, and decisively chose to upgrade its grade.

“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh~~~”

“Ding! Congratulations on successfully upgrading! You have obtained a new purple gold artifact — Dance of Flames (Breastplate)!”

—

“Hiss—!!!”

Is this what a purple gold artifact is like?

The damage amplification easily reaches a 100% increase!

Judging solely from the effects, a single purple gold artifact is at least equivalent to the damage increase effect of three gold artifacts!

The difference is very obvious!

What a pity!

Ye Xingyu held the Dance of Flames — Breastplate in his hands.

The only regrettable point was that he lacked fire attribute attack methods.

Currently, the only skill he had that could deal fire attribute damage was Chain Burst Arrow.

But this skill could only be used once every 45 seconds.

It was good for burst damage and clearing groups of monsters.

However, when facing a single powerful enemy, its effect was very limited.

Relying solely on this one skill, wearing the Dance of Flames purple gold artifact clearly couldn’t unleash its maximum value.

Ye Xingyu caressed the Dance of Flames a couple of times.

The exterior of this purple gold artifact was a bright golden yellow, with a circle of fiery red flames embroidered at the cuffs, like a raging inferno.

Its appearance was extremely imposing!

Ye Xingyu quickly reviewed the Archer’s fire attack skills in his mind.

Gradually, he began to get an idea.

However, most attribute enchantment skills appeared after the second job advancement at level 30.

That’s when the Archer class began to widely master the power of attribute enchantments.

Currently, he was only at level 20, so it was still a bit early for that.

Moreover, the Dance of Flames Breastplate was a level 24 item.

It was too soon to start preparing for those things now.

Therefore, after Ye Xingyu tossed the Dance of Flames Breastplate into his backpack, he equipped the divine edge quiver.

With that, his gear was complete.

After dealing with his own equipment, Ye Xingyu logged off to get some sleep.

A few hours later, his energy restored, Ye Xingyu logged back on.

Leaving his grand villa, Ye Xingyu quickly arrived at the widest and most prosperous main street in Chunming City.

After a few hours, the scene on the street was vastly different from before.

Countless solo players stood on the street, hawking their wares:

“Selling a level 17 Assassin weapon dagger! silver grade dagger, only 500,000 gold coins! 500,000 gold coins, you won’t lose out or be cheated! Come on over! (✪ω✪)”

—

“Damn! 500,000 gold coins and you won’t lose out or be cheated? You must be talking about yourself, you black-hearted merchant! That’s too damn expensive! Can’t buy a single thing.”

Passing players shook their heads.

There were also more equipment, material, and potion vendors shouting enthusiastically:

“50 stacks of large recovery red potions! Fixed price 1500 gold coins! Selling cheap! Those interested, come quickly!”

“Archers, come take a look! Freshly made bronze-grade Archer longbow! Physical attack power up to 250! Only 20,000 gold! Once this village is gone, there’s no other shop like it! Come quickly!”

“Families! Pay attention everyone! Newly opened dungeon reward chest! The skill ‘Sword Qi’ that Swordsmen can only learn at level 20! Swordsmen, come over and bid! gold-grade skill ‘Life-Taking Sword Qi’! A must-have for travel, murder, and robbery! Only this one copy, buying it means earning! Come quickly~~~”

...Countless street vendors enthusiastically hawked their products.

And countless small stalls were set up on both sides of the road.

Needless to say, areas with huge foot traffic, like squares and banks, were also filled with hawkers and second, third, fourth, and fifth-hand dealers buying and selling equipment and materials.

Because in the previous event, the Xia Country Server Region was rewarded with over a hundred million treasure chests.

Therefore, during this period, players opened countless pieces of equipment and goods.

Everyone came out to sell or trade.

This created the current vibrant and prosperous scene.

Ye Xingyu witnessed the vitality of the market firsthand.

Now was the time when players’ trading enthusiasm was highest.

Wouldn’t that be the best time to hold an auction!

Currently, the market was abundant with equipment, materials, skill books, and other items.

The number of players needing new equipment was definitely not small.

It was the perfect time to hold an auction!

Moreover, Ye Xingyu himself had several hundred useless pieces of equipment in his backpack, including a few gold artifacts.

Now was the time to sell them!

Opportunity knocks but once!

He acted on his thought immediately!

Ye Xingyu immediately set off for his auction house.

At the same time, he stored all the unused equipment in his backpack in the auction house’s warehouse.

A rough count showed four to five hundred pieces!

Most of them were dropped when he was grinding monsters, fighting bosses, and clearing maps before.

Ye Xingyu alone couldn’t possibly use so many.

The auction house needed a chief assistant to help handle various miscellaneous tasks.

Ye Xingyu couldn’t stay in the auction house all the time buying and selling equipment and holding auctions himself.

So, with a grand gesture, he spent 20 million gold coins to directly purchase a ready-made, top-tier auction house chief assistant from the system — Mother Fu.

Mother Fu was an NPC, 32 years old, intelligent and refined in appearance, with a graceful charm.

Purchasing her directly from the system cost 20 million gold coins.

Afterward, he only needed to pay Mother Fu a monthly salary of 50,000 gold coins.

Then he could employ her for life.

It was an incredibly good deal!

What made Ye Xingyu most happy was that Mother Fu was well-versed in all the intricacies of the auction industry.

Her accompanying skill could also reduce the 5% handling fee paid by the auction house to the system to 3%!

It could be said to be a very capable skill!

If the auction house did very well, it would only take a few months to earn back the cost of purchasing Mother Fu through the difference in handling fees!

In addition to Mother Fu, Ye Xingyu also hired twenty to thirty junior NPCs at once to help handle the daily miscellaneous tasks of the auction house.

He also instructed them to follow Mother Fu’s command.

After all these operations, the auction house that Ye Xingyu had acquired at a low price could finally truly start operating!

After setting up the framework of the auction house, he first went to the market to take a look.

He found that the market was indeed bustling!

Buying and selling of equipment, items, and skill books were everywhere!

Players’ trading enthusiasm was at its peak!

It was time to hold the first auction in the Xia Country Server Region!

Ye Xingyu finally decided.
