Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

120: Chapter 120: The Shareholders’ Meeting Unexpectedly Features a Hit DomeSingularity Technology’s shareholder meeting was held in the large conference room on the 38th floor. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows were the skyscrapers of Jiangcheng’s CBD, and brand-new documents and laptops were laid out at both ends of the conference table.

When Zhang Fan pushed the door open, most of the shareholders had already arrived. Song Zhiwei was sitting at the head of the table on the left, a document with a colorful cover spread out in front of her. Seeing him enter, she raised her hand to check her watch: ”Mr. Zhang is quite punctual. Just rushed back from kindergarten?”

”I wasn’t delayed on the way.” Zhang Fan sat down at the head of the table, and Zhou Yurou immediately handed over an agenda. ”First, let’s report on the latest situation regarding ’star path: reboot’—the overseas pre-launch data is good, but three media outlets have still mentioned the ’Blue Whale’ old project controversy. The Legal Department has contacted the former CEO of Blue Whale to issue a clarification letter, which will be made public next week.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Mr. Li, a shareholder representing the Li Wen Group, who was sitting on the right, frowned: ”A clarification letter treats the symptoms but not the root cause, Mr. Zhang. Now the industry is staring at our proprietary IP. If we can’t produce something new, we won’t be able to shake off the ’plagiarism’ label, and subsequent financing will be affected.”

Other shareholders chimed in one after another: ”Exactly. No matter how popular ’star path’ is, it’s controversial. We need a completely original project to prove our strength.” ”The revenue from casual mini-games is too low to support the company’s valuation. We need something with real impact.”

The atmosphere in the conference room gradually became tense. Song Zhiwei suddenly knocked on the table and pushed the colorful file in front of her to the middle of the conference table: ”I have an idea. Everyone, take a look at this—a dynamic narrative casual game, DOME, developed based on YuFan AI.”

She opened her laptop, and a cartoon-style game interface immediately appeared on the projection screen: the player entered ”forest adventure,” and the AI instantly generated a map with streams and mushroom houses; entering ”help the little bunny find its mother” automatically generated plot branches, and even allowed for customizing character images.

”Players can independently generate maps, plots, and characters, and can even turn their own photos into game characters,” Song Zhiwei said, pointing to the ”share button” on the interface. ”The generated content can be shared to social platforms with one click, carrying its own viral attributes.”

The shareholders leaned forward to take a closer look. Mr. Li pointed at the screen and asked: ”Will there be copyright issues with AI-generated content? Where is the profit point?”

”In terms of copyright, we have already applied for a protection patent for AI-generated content. The content generated by players belongs to both the platform and the players; commercial use requires authorization. There are three profit points,” Song Zhiwei said, clearly and logically. ”First, paid unlocking of advanced AI functions, such as 3D map generation; second, virtual items, such as changing character skins; third, brand cooperation, such as linking with toy companies to turn popular player characters into physical toys.”

”I support this direction!” Liu Ruyan suddenly spoke up. She was sitting at the end of the conference table, clutching a proposal. ”My team has already done research. Young people now like ’personalized experiences,’ and AI-generated games hit that demand exactly. Plus, we have the technical foundation of YuFan AI, so the development cycle can be shortened to 3 months, and the cost is controllable.”

She handed the proposal to Zhang Fan: ”This is the user profile and cost estimate we made. Female users aged 18-25 account for 68%. They are willing to pay for personalized content, and the first month’s revenue is estimated to exceed 3 million.”

Zhang Fan quickly finished flipping through the proposal and looked at the DOME demo on the projection screen—the visuals were smooth, the AI generation speed was fast, and it indeed had the potential to become a hit.

He looked up at the shareholders: ”The controversy surrounding ’star path’ has made us realize that proprietary IP is the foundation. This dynamic narrative game not only utilizes our AI technology advantage but also avoids the risk of ’plagiarism’ and can accumulate user data for YuFan AI. It’s killing three birds with one stone.”

He paused, tapping his fingertips on the conference table: ”I have decided to establish a special team with Liu Ruyan as the project lead, pulling 5 core members from the Technology Department to prioritize resources for this project. Zhou Yurou, you coordinate with finance and marketing, and bring me a detailed development and promotion budget by next Monday.”

Seeing Zhang Fan make the decision, and having looked at Song Zhiwei’s DOME and Liu Ruyan’s estimates, the shareholders nodded in agreement one after another.

Mr. Li smiled and said: ”Miss Song’s creativity and Manager Liu’s execution, this project has a good chance! We can finally get rid of the ’plagiarism’ tag.”

After the meeting, while packing up her documents, Song Zhiwei deliberately lagged behind. Only after the other shareholders had left did she say to Zhang Fan: ”Did things at the kindergarten go smoothly? Weren’t you bothered by that man in black?”

Zhang Fan was stunned for a moment: ”How did you know there was a man in black?”

”I had my driver wait for you at the kindergarten gate. He saw that person acting suspiciously and took a photo to send to me.”

Song Zhiwei took out her phone; on the screen was the man in the hoodie. ”I checked, and this person is a security guard at Lin Haoyu’s company, specifically hired to do his dirty work.”

Zhang Fan’s heart sank—it really was sent by Lin Haoyu. He took the phone and saved the photo: ”Thank you, I will keep an eye out.”

”Don’t just focus on others,” Song Zhiwei glanced at him. ”Since you let Liu Ruyan lead the new game project, you need to keep a close eye on it so nothing goes wrong. Also, regarding Lin Haoyu, you’d better not go head-to-head with him. My father has business dealings with him, so I can help you find out about his movements.”

Zhang Fan nodded: ”Okay, if I need to, I’ll come to you.”

Just as he walked out of the conference room, his phone received a message from Gu Jingshen: [Lin Haoyu is making moves. He had his lawyer draft a custody lawsuit and also checked Xia Qinyi’s bank statements, seemingly trying to find evidence of her ’financial instability’.]

Zhang Fan gripped his phone tightly and walked quickly toward his office—it seemed Lin Haoyu had already started planning. He had to find evidence that Lin Haoyu was unfit to raise Lele as soon as possible to help Xia Qinyi win this lawsuit.

Meanwhile, in a top-floor office in another office building in Jiangcheng, the man in the hoodie was placing a stack of photos in front of Lin Haoyu.

In the photos, Zhang Fan was accompanying Lele to do crafts and holding her as she received an award, with Xia Qinyi standing by smiling. The scene was sickeningly warm.

Lin Haoyu picked up the photos, his knuckles turning white with force, and suddenly threw the photos onto the table: ”Just a substitute, and she dares to find a wild man? It seems if I don’t teach her a lesson, she won’t know who she belongs to!”

He picked up his phone and dialed his lawyer’s number, his tone cold: ”Submit the custody lawsuit as soon as possible. Also, go and investigate that man named Zhang Fan, and see what his background is—daring to snatch people from me, I’ll make sure he can’t stay in Jiangcheng!”
