Daily Intelligence: Forced to Save the Beautiful President at the Beginning

102: Chapter 102 The police are here, you’re all going to the station. The roar of engines pierced the night sky as over a dozen black sedans pulled up in unison outside Song Family Manor, their headlights cutting through the twilight and illuminating the entrance in a blinding glare.

This spectacle caused the lively crowd inside the villa to stop what they were doing and crowd around the windows to peer outside.

A man stepped out of the lead car, dressed in a crisp black suit. A diagonal scar ran from his eyebrow to his jawline on his left cheek, and his cold gaze made it clear he was not someone to be trifled with. This man was none other than Butler Wang, the trusted confidant of Song Zhiwei’s father.

In his youth, Butler Wang had been involved with the underworld and had blood on his hands, but he had settled down after following Song Zhiwei’s father and became the most trusted person in the Song family.

He had no children of his own and had watched Song Zhiwei grow up from a young age, having long since come to treat the young girl as his own daughter.

Seeing Song Zhiwei crouching on the ground, her skirt stained with dust as she supported a young man with a deathly pale complexion, the scar on his face looked even more ferocious in the light, and a murderous aura instantly surged in his eyes.

”Young Miss!” Butler Wang hurried forward, his voice filled with a rare sense of panic.

He carefully helped Song Zhiwei up, afraid of hurting her. ”I’m late, I’ve let you suffer a grievance!”

More than twenty black-clad bodyguards followed him out of the cars. Each was tall and expressionless. As they stood at the entrance of the manor, their presence instantly made the surrounding air feel stifling.

The people in the villa were completely panicked.

Li Na’s eyes widened. ”This... these are gangsters, right? How could Young Master Pei’s family have people like this?”

Wang Ting’s voice trembled. ”It’s over, it’s over. If people find out we were hanging out with people like this, how will we ever be able to stay at school?”

The two young teachers from Jiang University were even paler. They exchanged glances; they had intended to use Young Master Pei to expand their connections, but now it seemed this was no high-society dinner party—it was clearly a disaster involving people they shouldn’t have provoked!

If the school found out, their teaching positions would likely be lost.

Before anyone could react, Butler Wang raised a hand and said coldly, ”Clear the place! Get everyone inside out, don’t leave a single one!”

More than twenty bodyguards immediately rushed into the villa, their movements as crisp and efficient as trained soldiers.

Pei Yunxiao, who was drinking, was startled by the bodyguards rushing in. His wine glass shattered on the floor with a crack. ”What are you doing? I am the owner here, how dare you touch me?”

”The owner?” The bodyguard sneered, ignoring him completely as he grabbed Pei Yunxiao by the arms and dragged him outside.

Ruan Shu tried to step forward to stop them, but a single glare from a bodyguard sent her retreating, her legs turning to jelly from fear.

Li Na, Wang Ting, and the others didn’t dare to resist. They were dragged out like chicks by the bodyguards and crowded at the entrance of the manor, not daring to even breathe loudly.

Wang Cuihua was still arrogant at first, yelling and cursing at the bodyguards: ”Have you all rebelled? Do you not want to keep your jobs? Do you believe I’ll have Young Master Pei fire you?”

But when she saw Butler Wang standing beside Song Zhiwei, her voice instantly stuck in her throat. Her face turned pale, and she stammered, ”B-Butler Wang... why are you here?”

She was panicking internally. Butler Wang was the pillar of the Song family, and even Song Zhiwei’s father had to give him some respect. How did Song Zhiwei manage to bring him here?

But then she thought: What is there to be afraid of? Song Zhiwei still had feelings for Pei Yunxiao. At worst, she could just have Pei Yunxiao apologize to her. Didn’t Butler Wang look down on their family before? He still had to listen to Song Zhiwei, didn’t he? As long as Pei Yunxiao could still manipulate Song Zhiwei, they would be fine.

Butler Wang didn’t pay any attention to Wang Cuihua. His gaze landed on the crowd surrounded by the bodyguards, and he turned to ask Song Zhiwei softly, ”Young Miss, how should we handle these people?”

Song Zhiwei’s attention was entirely on Zhang Fan. Before she could speak, the siren of an ambulance could be heard in the distance; the ambulance and Butler Wang’s motorcade arrived almost simultaneously.

Medical personnel pushed a stretcher over quickly. After examining Zhang Fan’s injuries, they said with grave expressions, ”The patient may have a spinal fracture and internal organ damage. We need to get him to the hospital for surgery immediately!”

Song Zhiwei followed the stretcher, her steps unsteady, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.

Butler Wang hurried to follow, instructing two bodyguards to go to the hospital and leaving several others to guard the manor entrance before turning back.

”Young Miss...” someone in the crowd muttered. When Li Na heard these words, she looked as if she had been struck by lightning. She pointed at Song Zhiwei’s back, her voice trembling, ”Is... is she really the Young Miss?”

The yellow-haired man was completely panicked. He subconsciously took a step back, pointing toward Song Zhiwei, and muttered to himself, ”It can’t be... If she really is the Young Miss, I just hit her friend...”

He remembered the kick he gave Zhang Fan and the spit he landed on him, and his legs began to shake.

Seeing this, Ruan Shu hurriedly stood out and shouted to the crowd, ”Don’t be fooled by her! If she were really the Young Miss, why would she hitch a ride with Young Master Pei to school every day? Have you forgotten? She used to wait until Young Master Pei finished his meal before she dared to eat the food she brought! This must be a group of actors she paid to scare us!”

Her words were like a sedative, calming the panicked crowd slightly.

Wang Ting immediately followed up, using her imagination, and pointed at Butler Wang, shouting, ”Right! These people must have been hired by you! Song Zhiwei, you are truly insidious. To ruin Young Master Pei’s dinner party, you actually hired people to pretend to be gangsters!”

Zhao Ya also chimed in, her voice growing louder. ”Song Zhiwei, you must apologize to us! Young Master Pei kindly invited us to dinner, and you’ve ruined it like this. If you don’t apologize, we will call the police and report you for hiring people to harass us!”

”Apologize!” Someone shouted first, and others joined in. ”Apologize now! Otherwise, we’re calling the police!”

Watching the crowd’s reaction, Ruan Shu became even bolder. She stepped forward and said viciously to Butler Wang, ”And you! You broke into Young Master Pei’s manor and dared to grab people—this is organized crime! Apologize to us immediately, or when the police arrive, you’ll all end up in jail!”

In her view, Song Zhiwei must have been backed into a corner to hire people for a show. As long as they were tough enough, Song Zhiwei would eventually cave.

By then, not only would she be able to take credit in front of Young Master Pei, but she would also ensure that Song Zhiwei could never hold her head up at school again.

Wang Cuihua stood to the side, sighing inwardly: Pei Yunxiao really has the ability to keep these people spinning in circles; they still believe he is the real young master.

She cleared her throat and chimed in, ”Exactly! You people, apologize to Young Master Pei and all the guests immediately, or I’ll have Mr. Song fire you!”

Butler Wang listened to these people’s words and nearly laughed out of anger.

He turned to look at Song Zhiwei—the young girl had just sent off the ambulance and was standing not far away. The sorrow in her eyes had faded, replaced by a cold calmness.

Everyone’s eyes were fixed on Song Zhiwei, waiting for her to apologize, waiting to see her make a fool of herself.

But Song Zhiwei just walked slowly to Butler Wang’s side, picked up the property ownership documents for the manor from his hand, and brandished them at the crowd. Her voice was clear and firm: ”Apologize? You’ve got it wrong—the ones who should be apologizing are you.”

She paused, her gaze sweeping over Pei Yunxiao, Wang Cuihua, Ruan Shu, and the others, her tone filled with mockery: ”Breaking into my manor, injuring my friend, and you still dare to ask me to apologize? Do you think a little too highly of yourselves?”
