Chapter 4674: The Great Destruction and Great Reincarnation

“If you one day reach the peak, I only ask that you let me see the view from the summit.”

“As a return, I will give you all the knowledge I possess nothing held back.”

Emperor Azure Break did not wait for Lin Moyu’s answer; he had already made clear his intentions.

Rather than asking for a favor, it was more like a transaction, though phrasing it this way made it more agreeable.

Over the course of Emperor Azure Break’s not so lengthy life, he waged war across the worlds, obtained the remnants of countless universes, and slew dozens of Supremes.

What he knew and acquired was unimaginable. Even the Chaos Gem could not compare in some respects.

He was willing to trade everything he knew, just for a chance to see the view at the peak.

The request was seemingly simple, but Lin Moyu had a feeling it was not so straightforward.

Seeing through Lin Moyu’s thoughts, Emperor Azure Break said, “There’s no need to worry. I have no desire to possess your body; my end was open and upright. This remnant of consciousness exists for one reason alone: to see that final scenery.”

“Moreover, your soul is guarded by a wondrous treasure; no one could ever seize your body, so there is nothing to fear on that front.”

“For a lifetime of battle, everyone believed I sought only conflict. They understood nothing of what I truly desired.”

Lin Moyu asked, “How are you so certain I can reach the peak?”

Emperor Azure Break gazed into the void, “Though I am but a trace of will, my vision is still sharp. I have seen countless worlds, countless beings none I could not see through but you, shrouded in mist, fate uncertain, impossible to discern.”

“You are unique. If even you cannot stand upon the pinnacle, then the heavens themselves must be wrong.”

His tone carried a proud nobility, a natural arrogance above all beings, forged over countless years.

Lin Moyu remained cautious, but he resonated with Emperor Azure Break’s words; perhaps he would feel much the same in the same position.

And he too was curious to know all that Emperor Azure Break knew. After a moment’s thought, he agreed, “Then I promise, should I reach the summit one day, I will let you see its view.”

Emperor Azure Break burst into laughter. “Good! My lone regret in this life was never seeing that view.”

“I can die, but I refuse to perish within these heavens!”

There was a touch of longing and reluctance in his laughter, but mostly wild, unrestrained pride.

Even Lin Moyu was moved by it. Emperor Azure Break could accept death, but not inside the heavens; even in dying, he must do so outside them.

That was his conviction, the faith at the core of his heart.

“Perhaps all Supremes end up with such thoughts.”

Lin Moyu thought of those Supremes who charged into the Forbidden Zone of Life without hesitation maybe they all carried this belief.

They had lived too long, had nothing left to hold them in the world; though they did not wish to die, they were even less willing to die within the heavens.

So at the end times, they chose one final gambit.

As the laughter faded, stars began to appear one by one in the void, over a hundred in all.

Emperor Azure Break said, “These are all the Primal Techniques I have gathered; you may use them for reference.”

He reached out, picked one star from the multitude, and offered it to Lin Moyu: “This is the culmination of my experiences over many years; study it closely, and perhaps it may help you.”

“Lin Moyu, let me ask: have all the worlds now collapsed?”

Lin Moyu was slightly taken aback. “Emperor, you saw this?”

Emperor Azure Break smiled faintly, “As expected. Destiny cannot speak falsely; the heavens will ultimately collapse.”

Lin Moyu asked, “Are you versed in the Dao of Fate?”

Emperor Azure Break shook his head, “One need not master the Dao of Fate to glimpse the future there are many ways to see what is to come.”

“There once was a world called Seeking Knowledge; Xia Zhi, the name of a Supreme.”

“Arrogant and ill tempered, but one must admit among all Supremes, he was the only one to reach the pinnacle of the Dao of Fate.”

Emperor Azure Break told a story the Supreme who reached the peak of fate was famous among the mighty.

Many Supremes would ask him about the future, but he always held back, giving only partial answers and keeping many benefits for himself.

But Emperor Azure Break was not so accommodating. He beat Xia Zhi within an inch of his life, dragged him out even after he hid in his own world, damaging the world itself.

With utter strength, he forced Xia Zhi to divine the future refuse, and die.

No one dared interfere, for Emperor Azure Break’s temper was worse than Xia Zhi’s arrogance.

And not trusting Xia Zhi’s answers, he examined his soul directly and watched the prophesied future with his own eyes.

Afterward, he even compelled Xia Zhi to erase those memories from himself.

Emperor Azure Break’s tyranny was feared; his might silenced any complaints.

Xia Zhi was forced to erase the episode, not knowing it had happened, and no one dared tell him afterward.

Whether it counted as a loss was unclear.

Emperor Azure Break said in a deep voice, “At that time, I presented several extremely rare treasures from the boundary of the heavens these were used as markers, ensuring the read of the future would not be mistaken.”

Lin Moyu asked, “What did you see in the future?”

Emperor Azure Break replied, “The heavens would be destroyed; all worlds must shatter, but from this ruin would come rebirth.

Yet that new life is only a momentary brilliance before the true, greater destruction.”

“Heaven and earth have their own cycle. Each great tribulation is simply the world’s reincarnation, leading inexorably toward annihilation. None can stop it.”

“This is not the law within the heavens, but a decree from beyond delaying the end is possible, but altering the result is not.”

“It was only after seeing this that I understood: only by reaching the peak could one escape the true, final destruction.”

Lin Moyu’s heart thundered. “The Great Destruction… That’s it! There is reincarnation within the world but what lies outside?”

He lowered his voice, “Now, all the worlds have perished except for this one. This is just as you predicted it is the world reborn amid destruction, the last brilliance before the end.”

Emperor Azure Break said, “At the time, I pondered this question. I fought across countless worlds, collected Primal Techniques, sought the world’s origin, and tried to explore the boundary of the heavens.”

“Through endless years of searching, I at last found some answers.”

“All the worlds, after vast epochs, will go through a cycle of great destruction and great reincarnation.”
