Help! The Villainess Trapped in the Beast World's Drama!

Chapter 29: Chapter 28: The Tyrant of the Future?

Xiao Jin looked at her coldly and said impatiently, ”If you want to say something, say it quickly, don’t dilly-dally!”

Shen Tang’s temples slightly twitched, considering this dog man as her target to strategize, she pouted and said, ”Help me find some thick branches to make a barbecue rack, and then some exceptionally thin sticks. Shen Li, come and help me process the beast meat, cut it into evenly sized small pieces, marinate it with seasoning, and skewer it on sticks to make meat skewers. It’s easier to control the cooking time this way.”

Shen Li listened attentively to her words, nodded and said with a gentle smile, ”Alright, I’ll help you, but I’ve never done this before, I might be a bit clumsy.”

Still, Brother Fox’s personality is gentle, but when Shen Tang thinks of his identity, her heart sinks a bit, yet her face remains calm with a smile, ”No worries, everything has a first time. The more you do, the more skilled you become. First, help me turn this piece of meat into small cubes...”

Xiao Jin saw the two busy themselves and frowned slightly, clicking his tongue. He didn’t have any expectations from this fat woman, just felt bored.

But seeing Shen Tang so sworn and confident, he was really curious about what kind of trick this person would pull off.

Xiao Jin thought about it and then turned to the forest, soon returning with a large bundle of dry wood.

”These two fools actually believe that lazy and greedy fat woman would be able to cook?” Jia Lan sneered inwardly, not wanting to hang around with them, fearing he might catch their foolishness.

Xue Yinzhou transformed into his original form, lazily coiled up in the tree, not bothered to join the crowd. When bored, he occasionally glanced towards the bonfire, a hint of deep meaning in his silver-purple beast eyes.

Shen Tang believed that her cooking skills would definitely astonish this group of men, but she used to use a home electronic barbecue grill, which had milder heat. This was her first time using a bonfire to roast meat, and as she roasted, she smelled something burned.

”Ah! Oh no, it’s burnt!”

Shen Tang, flustered, took out the skewers; the meat chunks were on fire. She blew them out quickly, and the meat skewers shrunk to small circles, roasted into charcoal.

”This black thing, is this what you call roasted meat?”

Xiao Jin smelled the burnt charcoaled aroma, his face looking queasy, suspecting that this fat woman was trying to poison them!

He knew this fat woman had no good intentions, with mischievous motives unextinguished.

”Mistake, I didn’t control the heat well this time; I’ll roast it a shorter time later.” Shen Tang said awkwardly.

”You better not be intentionally wasting food, or else you’ll starve later.” Xiao Jin said coldly, thinking to himself that he was really dumb today to believe in Shen Tang.

In the post-apocalyptic world, food is precious, if this fat woman dares waste food again to disgust them, see how he deals with her!

”Can you really make roast meat?” Shen Li frowned, not pleased as he looked at Shen Tang.

Shen Tang sighed inwardly, knowing it wouldn’t be easy to change Xiao Jin and their impression of her. The original owner often wasted food, especially when Shen Li and the others didn’t do things as she wished; she’d deliberately throw away the beast meat they worked hard to hunt, preferring to ruin it than let them eat.

”Please trust me one last time; this time, it will definitely succeed!” Shen Tang vowed to conquer them with solid culinary skills.

After the failure last time, Shen Tang gradually mastered the control of the heat this time.

The meat chunks were roasted to a crispy yellow, dripping animal oil into the bonfire with crackling sounds.

The increasingly rich aroma tantalized the two men beside her, making their mouths water, staring at the skewers in Shen Tang’s hand like wolves and tigers.

She felt the time was about right, took out the skewers, slightly overcooked but the crispy exterior with flowing oil, looked even more appetizing, ”Try it, how is it?”

Xiao Jin had long been tempted by the aroma, drooling. He had consumed nutrient liquid for years; this was his first time having such an appetite, snatching the skewer and stuffing it rambunctiously into his mouth, not caring if it was hot.

”Whew! Tasty!” His golden eyes lit up, sucking in cold air but not slowing his pace, like a starving ghost reincarnated.

Shen Tang’s lips twitched, was it necessary? But seeing the cold-faced cool guy become a hungry wolf devouring food, she felt proud, quickly roasted several more skewers of beast meat, handing them to Shen Li, ”You try it too, this time the heat was better controlled than last time, crispy outside and tender inside, it must taste very good.”

Seeing Xiao Jin eating so deliciously, Shen Li put down his prejudices.

His eating expression was very elegant, looking like it afforded the ultimate pleasure.

After Shen Li finished eating, he still craved, giving a very high evaluation, ”Extremely delicious.”

Not far away, Jia Lan was lying before the tree, resting with his eyes shut, suddenly sniffing an alluring aroma; he gulped hard, opened his eyes looking towards the direction where the smell came, noticing Shen Tang and them roasting meat.
