Help! The Villainess Trapped in the Beast World's Drama!

Chapter 12: Chapter 11: Triggering a Side Quest

[The host’s attribute value has changed to a certain extent. Do you need to check the personal attribute panel?]

”Check.”

As soon as her voice fell, the system’s light screen appeared in front of her.

[Host: Shen Tang

Age: 19

Appearance: 20 (Ugly as a Yaksha)

Skin: Poor

Body: Severely Obese

Skills: None

Overall Charisma Evaluation: Lower Lower Grade

Suggestion: Improve skin condition, enforce weight loss]

Shen Tang found that her Appearance Value had changed. She remembered it was initially ”8” and has now increased to ”20.”

The skin condition also changed from ”extremely poor” to ”poor.”

Unfortunately, the evaluation is still ”Ugly as a Yaksha.”

Her mouth twitched slightly; does the system have to be so harsh with its evaluation?

[By the way, Host, three days have passed, you can use the Beauty Cream again.]

Shen Tang returned to her residence and used the Beauty Cream before going to sleep at night.

The next day, she rushed to the bathroom to look in the mirror after waking up.

The acne on her face had faded a lot and was almost invisible from a distance. Her skin was whiter and cleaner, although there were still issues with large pores and blackheads. Overall, she was just an ordinary woman with relatively poor skin.

The Appearance Value also increased by 6 points, becoming 26, and the system’s evaluation updated to [Grey face, earthy appearance].

She still had one-third of the Beauty Cream left. She wondered how delightful the results would be once it was fully used.

Seeing the change in her face, Shen Tang felt joy in her heart, and the resentment vanished without a trace.

She touched the mountain-like fat on her stomach and sighed.

She went out early and late to jog around the street.

The passersby looked at Shen Tang with unusual eyes and talked among themselves.

”What’s the fat lady doing? What’s the point in running around here early in the morning?”

”Waking up to see her, it really ruins one’s appetite, and my mood for work today is gone.”

”It’s strange. Did you notice that the acne on Shen Tang’s face is almost gone, and her skin looks a lot whiter than before...”

”Now that you mention it, it seems true. The fat lady isn’t as ugly as she was before. She doesn’t seem as offensive now.”

...

When Shen Li approached, he heard the rumors, and his brows furrowed.

He heard that Shen Tang had a big fight with Jia Lan yesterday. Perhaps after this stimulation, she really decided to lose weight?

Seeing the fat and clumsy figure not far away, his mouth twitched slightly; it truly was... unbearable to look at.

Shen Tang ran breathlessly, feeling soreness in her waist and legs, and sweating profusely.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host, male lead Shen Li’s affinity +10.]

[Current: Dislike 20.]

Shen Tang looked up and saw Shen Li walking towards her. He had a slender figure and handsome looks, attracting many female glances along the way.

”The spices you asked me to find, is this what you wanted?” Shen Li directly used the Light Computer on his wrist to connect and transferred the supplies to her.

The Advanced Light Computer comes with a one-cubic-meter space that can only store dead objects, usually used by soldiers for carrying rations, clothing, and weaponry when going out to battle. This type of Light Computer is expensive, and low-grade Beastmen can’t afford it.

Although Shen Li and Shen Tang are now exiled, they are both equipped with top-level Light Computers due to their Royal Family background.

Shen Tang also learned to use the Light Computer in recent days and quickly received the goods.

Salt, MSG, peppercorns, star anise, cumin, chili powder, fennel, garlic mince, etc., were all basic seasonings but quite complete.

She looked down to check the seasonings, unaware that Shen Li’s gaze swept over her face with a hint of surprise.

It had only been two days, yet the acne on this female’s face had healed almost completely. Could those quacks in the city really be so capable? He remembered that even the specialists in the Imperial City couldn’t handle this Princess’s condition.

Shen Li felt puzzled but did not ask more.

Shen Tang intended to fulfill her promise and invited him to stay for a meal.

Shen Li recalled the meat soup from that day, its taste lingering in his mind. He later searched all over the city for chefs but couldn’t find that taste again.

Just as he was about to nod in agreement, he suddenly received an urgent notification from the team and had to leave hastily.

Next door, Song Fang had a sharp wolf nose and came over to scrounge for food when she smelled the aroma.

She also noticed the change on Shen Tang’s face. Without acne and with less dark skin, there was a faint sense of delicacy, not as offensive as before. However, Shen Tang’s facial features were still ordinary, narrow eyes, a flat nose bridge, and crooked teeth. Especially her body fat, making one want to cut it with a knife.

Shen Tang also wanted to lose weight, but the original host’s bulk was too large. These days, she controlled her diet and exercised but only lost four or five pounds, which didn’t make any difference in her three to four hundred-pound weight.

”Teach me how to make that meat soup from that day, would you? I’ve tried several times at home but just can’t replicate that taste.” Song Fang rubbed her hands enthusiastically, eager to learn.

”Sure, you better pay attention, I’ll only teach you once.” Shen Tang rarely gained a good friend, feeling quite cheerful.

”First, clean the meat and cut it into pieces. Bone-in meat needs to be blanched to remove blood scum.” Shen Tang explained while cooking, ”Remember, put the meat in cold water and bring to boil, skim off the scum, remove and set aside. Then we’ll prepare the vegetables and spices...”

Song Fang listened intently, her learning abilities were quite good, and soon she got the hang of it.

The two girls discussed cooking, the atmosphere was harmonious.

Suddenly, urgent footsteps sounded outside!

Song Fang turned her head to see her three Beast Husbands hurrying over and waved her hand with a smile, ”Just in time, I was thinking of calling you guys! Have a look at the meat soup I just learned. Today’s flavor is sure to be spot on!”

”Thank you, Fangfang, but there’s no time today.” Black Wolf Beastman Lang Xiao quickly spoke up, ”The City Lord suddenly issued a gathering order, requesting all Beastmen in the city to assemble at the city gate immediately. I came to inform you.”

”What’s happening?” Song Fang looked at her three Beast Husbands worriedly, ”You all have to go?”

”We don’t know the specifics either,” explained her other Elk Beast Husband, ”The City Lord divided the city’s Beastmen into two parts, one to garrison the city, and the other seems to be following the City Lord outside. Wolf Xiao and I were selected to join the team going out.”

Song Fang realized that something significant might be happening outside the city.

She had vaguely heard rumors these days that several teams sent out of the city recently had yet to return, contact had been lost.

Some say those Beastmen may have encountered misfortune...

Thinking about this, Song Fang glanced at Shen Tang, hesitated but swallowed her words, turning to her Beast Husbands with anxious queries, ”It seems there might be a fierce battle. Can I go with you guys?”

Male Beastmen fighting in polluted areas for extended periods easily trigger mental instability, and only the spiritual power of females can soothe them. Song Fang worried they might lose control during the battle.

Lang Xiao shook his head, ”Outside is too dangerous. The City Lord only allows C-level and above spiritual power females to accompany the army.”

Song Fang only has ordinary D-level spiritual power and cannot travel with them.

At this moment, the system in Shen Tang’s mind suddenly issued a task:

[Congratulations! Host triggered a side mission: accompany the army to the B-405 polluted area. Complete the mission reward: restore spiritual power!]
