Help! The Villainess Trapped in the Beast World's Drama!

Chapter 9: Chapter 8: Delivering Food and Warmth

”I’m leaving, I’m leaving, I’m getting out right now!” Shen Tang snapped back to reality, frightened, and turned around to run away.

Shen Li’s handsome face darkened. Before he could get angry, the fat woman disappeared like a puff of smoke, and he snorted coldly: The courage to flirt is outrageous, but at least she remembers her lessons!

Shen Tang ran outside, panting heavily, her fat trembling all over her body.

She hadn’t forgotten how the original owner used to swoon over Shen Li, relying on them being half-siblings. She frequently spied on him bathing; if it weren’t for her princess status protecting her, Shen Li would have long secretly killed her!

Recalling the cold, murderous look in his eyes made Shen Tang break out in cold sweat, her heart still pounding hard.

But one has to admit, Shen Li’s looks and figure are really good, just like a charming rose with thorns. The image of the handsome man coming out of the bath is still vivid in her mind. No wonder the original owner drooled over him; she was salivating, too!

It’s just a pity that the man was utterly disgusted by her.

You can see but not touch, it’s so itchy and unbearable!

Not long after, a voice as cold as ice came from inside the house.

”Come in.”

Shen Tang composed herself and pushed the door open.

She saw Shen Li sitting on the sofa, already restored to his usual gentle and composed demeanor. The icy and brutal man from before seemed like another person.

But in the middle of summer, he was wearing no less than five thick layers of clothing, wrapping himself up tightly, guarded against a certain notorious female parasite. Shen Tang twitched her mouth; was she really that desperate!

Seeing her come in, Shen Li’s brows furrowed, ”I don’t have any money here!”

His tone was quite unfriendly, wishing he could just tell her to get lost.

Shen Tang was speechless, ”I’m not here for money.”

”Then what are you here for?” Shen Li looked completely unconvinced.

This spendthrift female loves gambling. Every month, the salaries they handed over to her were all gambled away by her with terrible luck. She was played around by people at the casino, not earning a cent but losing it all, even putting up millions more, leaving Shen Li and the others almost without enough money to eat, having to mortgage their house to pay the debts.

Fearing being wiped out financially by this spendthrift woman, they had stopped handing over any salary three months ago, only giving her a basic living allowance. But Shen Tang was used to splurging, blowing through the money at the start of the month, and shamelessly asking them for more once she ran out, continuing to gamble. Whenever they refused, she would go crazy, causing all sorts of disgusting antics.

Shen Li had enough of this life, staring at Shen Tang’s every move. If she dared to ask him for money to gamble again, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill her in a fit of madness!

Shen Tang, not noticing the murderous intent from the bottom of his eyes, lowered her head and took out a lunchbox, speaking warmly, ”I made some broth, brought it for you to taste.”

Shen Li’s right hand had unknowingly started to beastify, sharp claws glinting coldly and ready to strike. Just as Shen Tang spoke, he almost lunged forward to strangle her, but hearing her words, stood frozen, doubting his own hearing.

Shen Tang, not hearing his response, couldn’t help but look up, a trace of confusion in her eyes.

Shen Li quickly hid his beastified hand behind his back, returning to his usual calm demeanor as if nothing had happened, speaking coldly, ”You cooked it?”

”Mm! Try it, see if it suits your taste. It’s my first time cooking, maybe it’s not very good.” Shen Tang said nervously with a hint of anticipation.

Shen Li frowned, glanced at her, then at the lunchbox on the table. ”Did the sun rise from the west? This fat woman actually cooked for him? Could it be another attempt to drug him again?”

Disgust flickered in Shen Li’s eyes; he had no intention of opening the lunchbox. He planned to toss it into the trash once she left.

Shen Tang didn’t mind; she had delivered her warmth. If he couldn’t enjoy her cooking, that dog of a man had no fortune!

”Actually, I came today because I do have something to ask of you...” Shen Tang hesitated to speak.

Shen Li had that ”as expected” look, his tone sarcastic, face dark, ”Want me to help you with something again?”

”I wanted to ask if you could help me find some spices, I can’t find them in the city market.” Shen Tang spoke again.

Shen Li’s gaze coldly landed on Shen Tang, lips pursed, uncertain, ”What did you say?”

Shen Tang wondered if this dog man was hard of hearing and had to patiently repeat herself, ”I want to ask you to help me find some spices! I need them for cooking, and in return, I can deliver a portion to you every time I make a new dish. Of course, you can come over to eat directly, saving me a trip.”

Only then did Shen Li confirm he hadn’t misheard, his surprise growing as he frowned at the woman before him. What was she up to this time?

This lazy fat woman never lifted a finger, living off them like a parasite, had never even entered the kitchen. Was she really turning over a new leaf today?

No, it couldn’t be that simple. Shen Li recalled her past self-destructive behavior, face darkening, ”Stop with your dirty tricks. Do you think I’d fall for it? The more you try, the more I’ll hate you!”

This was him asserting she must have drugged the food.

This vicious woman, frustrated, might poison to retaliate, aiming to kill them!

The Female Master could inherit the Beast Husband’s wealth. She had previously pretended to be kind and gentle to deceive and poison them. Shen Li almost fell for it back then due to their childhood friendship, narrowly escaping death’s door, and from that moment lost all hope for her.

Shen Tang also remembered this, turning pale, internally cursing the original owner’s deviousness deserving of divine retribution!

To prove her innocence, Shen Tang opened the lunchbox and took a big sip of the broth in front of Shen Li, ”I didn’t tamper with the broth, no drugs, no poison, if I’m lying, I pledge to drop dead right here!”

The aroma of the meat made Shen Li uncontrollably salivate, looking at Shen Tang with suspicion, who seemed so full of certainty.

Her eyes were clear and gentle, not filled with the sly thoughts and evil aura of before.

Shen Li lowered his long lashes, secretly vowing: if this woman dared poison him again, he would send her to meet the Beast God immediately!

Shen Li took just one sip of the broth, red eyes flickering in surprise, quickly masking it.

The soup was rich, the beast meat stewed tender and flavorful. Having come from the Imperial Palace, he’d tasted the best chef’s cuisine, yet this broth was not inferior to that of an Imperial Chef. Was it really made by this fat woman in front of him? How could he believe it when pigs could climb trees if this fat woman could cook!

He drank the entire pot of broth to the last drop, still wanting more.

His body felt fine, and his heart was filled with incredulity.

”Alright, I’ll help you find the spices.” Shen Li agreed promptly this time.

He really wanted to see what tricks she had left to play.

Shen Tang was enraged seeing his disbelief. She would prove him wrong and slap his face! The best! Make him kneel and sing ’Conquer’!

”Just wait, next time I create a new dish, I’ll show you, personally display the cooking skills of this young lady!”

”Alright, I’m looking forward to it. If you lose, sign the divorce agreement!” Shen Li laughed coolly.

Shen Tang’s eyes widened, squinting, alright, this dog man was waiting for this!

Shen Tang resolutely declared, ”And if you lose?”

Shen Li frowned, then relaxed, ”At your disposal.”

”Hehe, it’s a deal!” Shen Tang smiled like a triumphant fox.

But her smile revealed those crooked and rotten teeth, ugly to death, making one want to pull them all out and plant a full set of porcelain teeth for her.

Shen Li turned his head away, repulsed, ”Close your mouth, it’s hideous.”

Shen Tang was so irritated her mouth twitched uncontrollably. How had she not noticed before that this fox was also vicious-tongued!
