Help! The Villainess Trapped in the Beast World's Drama!

Chapter 13: Chapter 12: Setting Out on the Journey

At the city gate, nearly a thousand Beastman Warriors were fully armed, ready to set off.

Not far away, dozens of armored vehicles and six fighter jets were parked, and a tense and solemn atmosphere pervaded everywhere.

Shen Tang frowned. The shelter couldn’t provide this equipment. Although the City Lord had the authority to mobilize troops, the army actually belonged to the Empire, responsible for guarding the shelter, suppressing riots, and eliminating mutant species. It seemed they were pulling out all the stops this time and getting serious.

The mission announced by the system must be related to the male lead. Could it be that a Beast Husband had encountered misfortune outside the city?

As she approached, she discovered that only three Beast Husbands were present, dressed in combat uniforms.

When Jia Lan saw Shen Tang approaching, a strong disgust flashed in his eyes, and he got up to leave with big strides.

Next to him was a tall, slender man with silver hair, wearing a gas mask. His face was unclear, his demeanor as cold as an icy pond, exuding a powerful aura that discouraged anyone from approaching.

His cold eyes glanced at Shen Tang indifferently, as if he saw something dirty, and he turned to merge into the darkness, disappearing from sight.

Shen Tang recognized him as her original self’s Snake Beast Husband, Xue Yinzhou. His level of disgust towards her was extremely high, not even bothering to give her a direct look.

Compared to the others, Shen Li’s attitude towards Shen Tang was slightly better, but still very indifferent. Seeing her approach, his handsome brows furrowed tightly. What did this female want?

The Beastmen and females present were whispering,

”What’s this spiritual power-less waste doing here?”

”I heard she had a fight with her Beast Husband a few days ago, making it known all over the city. She must be trying to take this opportunity to get close to Jia Lan and them.”

”Ridiculous, where does she get the nerve? Normally causing trouble is one thing, but considering the current situation, who has time for her tantrums!”

Shen Li and the others didn’t look any better, clearly thinking the same in their hearts.

The City Lord frowned his rugged brows tightly, his gaze heavy as it swept over Shen Tang, his voice like a great bell, ”Move aside quickly, this is not a place for your nonsense!”

Shen Tang ignored the mocking words and said openly, ”I’m not here to cause trouble, I want to accompany the army on the expedition.”

Upon hearing this, the City Lord’s thick eyebrows almost knitted into the character 川, and the disgust in his eyes grew stronger, questioning, ”Do you know where we’re going this time? If you don’t leave now, don’t blame me for ordering someone to lay hands on you.”

After he spoke, he even called over two Beastman Warriors.

Shen Tang quickly spoke up, ”I know, you’re going to the B—405 Pollution Zone, to search for the missing team.”

The disgust in the City Lord’s eyes slightly receded, replaced by a hint of surprise. Initially thinking this female was up to mischief again, he didn’t expect her to come prepared.

Then, he frowned again, ”You know, yet dare to come along. That’s the pollution zone, where the weak are devoured so completely that not even bones are left.”

Shi Yin also stepped forward to Shen Tang, arms crossed, sneering sarcastically, ”Shen Tang, can’t you have a bit of self-awareness? You don’t even have spiritual power now, you’ll only become a burden if you go, and nobody on the battlefield will care about your survival!”

Shen Tang disregarded her ironic tone and looked only at the City Lord and his adjutant, sincerely saying, ”Just let me follow, you don’t have to worry about me in case of danger.”

The City Lord pondered for a moment, ”Then you may come along.”

He warned, ”Heading to the pollution zone, everyone must sign a death guarantee. If you die, there may not even be anyone to collect your body!”

However, the City Lord didn’t actually intend for Shen Tang to go. If the Empire Princess really died, he couldn’t explain it.

He simply didn’t want to be pestered at such a critical moment, thinking Shen Tang would be scared off by the death guarantee, but unexpectedly, she readily signed her name.

Shen Li, Jia Lan, and Xue Yinzhou were all surprised to see Shen Tang sign the death guarantee. This female had always been so afraid of dying. Once, she encountered a mutant species and was so frightened that she trembled in a frenzy, shutting herself in her house for three days, trembling. What got into her today, insisting on coming along?

Jia Lan laughed coldly, thinking this female was trying to take the opportunity to pester him again, but Shen Tang did not seek him out from beginning to end, not even sparing him a sidelong glance.

He found himself pulling a strange face, a peculiar feeling flickering in his heart.

When almost everyone was present, it was about time for the team to move out.

The Flying Beastmen shifted to their beast forms and set off first to scout the way.

The others rode in armored vehicles and fighter jets.

Among the thousands of personnel, only a dozen or so females were present, each individually assigned to two transport armored vehicles.

Shen Tang was also assigned specific equipment, armor, and a gas mask.

The apocalypse gear is made of nanomaterial, highly extensible; the clothing can freely stretch to accommodate body shapes, yet she struggled for half a day to put on the gear, almost bursting the clothes.

Others found it eye-burning, mixed with whispering snickers.

Shen Tang’s skin is thick, yet she felt a bit embarrassed at this moment. She sighed inwardly, ”I must lose weight! I really can’t stand this misery!”

Shen Tang laboriously climbed onto the armored vehicle and found an empty spot in a corner, plopping down.

The carriage seemed to shake slightly.

”...”

The last person to board was Shi Yin. Although there was still space opposite the carriage, she insisted on walking up to Shen Tang, with a challenging look in her slender eyes, ”Could you make room? There are already not enough seats, and your big butt takes up the space of three people, leaving us without a place to sit.”

”Exactly, it’s too crowded.” A slender female follower of Shi Yin echoed.

”Hey, does anyone else smell a sour, sweaty odor? Who hasn’t showered in days? It’s stinking up the place~” After the door closed, the cramped carriage felt even stuffier, and the air was somewhat murky as a noble female complained.

”The fatter you are, the easier you sweat. That Shen Tang probably hasn’t bathed all day; it’s definitely her smell.”

”Who is she trying to suffocate? If I’d known, I wouldn’t have come today...”

Shen Tang, with her fat physique, would sweat heavily with any movement, soaking her clothes, but she had showered and changed into new clothes this morning. She was sure there was no strange odor on her, but these people were obviously trying to exclude her, making her feel humiliated.

Shi Yin, as the City Lord’s daughter, naturally had all the other females following her lead. Seeing Shi Yin targeting Shen Tang, they willingly ”helped out,” to please her.

Not to mention, the ugly Shen Tang already aroused jealousy, so why does she deserve five top-level Beast Husbands? These females found the chance and were eager to kick her while she’s down.

A female from the Bear Clan muttered softly, ”Seriously, it’s so tight, I have nowhere to put my bag. Why did this useless person come along? She’s just in the way...”

”Can’t that fat pig roll off and run behind the vehicle? We haven’t reached the pollution zone yet, so nothing dangerous will appear, perfect for losing weight.”

”Hahaha, great idea, since Shen Tang is so fat now, she should run to lose weight~ We’re doing this for her benefit~”

These words quickly sparked a burst of laughter.

This group of females was not targeting her for the first time. In Shen Tang’s memories, they often mocked and sneered, contributing to her increasingly twisted personality.

Suddenly, Shen Tang stood up, startling the group of females.

Someone cursed angrily, ”What are you doing?”

”Was it you who suggested I roll off from the carriage?” Shen Tang looked down at the previously speaking female of the Fox Clan. Her face was ugly, facial muscles twitching, and her smile seemed even more intimidating, terrifying the female into a pale expression.

”I... I was just saying casually...”

Shen Tang remained expressionless, coldly sweeping her gaze around the carriage; the original Shen was tall, fat, and robust, now standing like a small hill, exerting immense pressure!

Those females seemed like weak little chicks before her.

”Let me see, who else is feeling cramped?” Shen Tang rotated her wrist, sneering,

”Anyone who dares utter another word, I will kick her out! It’s nice and spacious outside!”

The females were instantly silenced, not daring to make a sound, even Shi Yin felt a touch of fear inside.

If this ugly person actually goes berserk, with her three to four hundred pound weight class, she could punch them into a pit; no delicate female could withstand it!

The carriage fell quiet instantly, and no one dared to speak again.

Shen Tang enjoyed the quiet around her. To deal with these people, she had to fight evil with evil. Anyway, the original Shen’s reputation was ruined, being arrogant and domineering was better than being treated as a pushover!

The scenery outside changed gradually, with the vegetation becoming increasingly lush, growing extremely tall, sometimes five or six meters. Some flowers and fruits had vibrant, dreamy colors, covered with spiral-like purple patterns, yet few living animals were seen.

At some unknown point, a faint gray mist began to spread in the air, reducing visibility.

Shen Tang felt uneasy.
