Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Until the end, there seemed no chance of either.

Ron clung to Harry as always, perfectly blocking every opportunity for him and Ginny to be alone.

Harry had also tested Ron’s reaction if any boy were to date Ginny again.

That boy naturally referred to himself, and Ron’s reaction was just as Harry had expected.

Ron said he might not be able to control himself and rush up to beat up the bastard who dared to approach Ginny.

Beating him hard, although Ron had never put it into practice, at least it showed his attitude.

He was against any boy approaching his sister and was extremely repulsed by such things.

Being with Ginny meant being prepared to lose Ron.

That was how things stood, and Harry felt he had pretty much lost all hope.

Hermione, on the other hand, had several discussions with Evan in the middle of the night, and she was also disappointed with Harry’s performance.

She had already made an agreement with Ginny. She thought that things would change soon after Ginny and Dean broke up. She even gave Ginny some advice, asking her to take the initiative to hint. Hermione was very satisfied with Ginny’s recent performance, but she didn’t expect it to take so long without any results.

Naturally, she was very dissatisfied with Harry’s performance and kept asking Evan what boys usually thought.

Evan, for his part, still clearly remembered Harry’s awkward dates with Cho Chang. Considering that Harry was the kind of guy who could go on a date with a girl who wanted to kiss him and take things further, only to end up making her cry, Evan didn’t think anyone should expect too much from him in the first place.

Faced with a boy like Harry, Ginny should boldly take the initiative and seize control of the situation…

Like Lavender did with Ron — well, even though Ginny was quite outgoing, she wasn’t that type of girl.

So, this matter would just have to drag on for now. Sooner or later, there would be a day when it could be resolved.

As time went on, neither Harry nor Ginny had time to think about love anymore.

They had to devote all their time, energy and physical strength to Quidditch practice.

Because after entering June, the final Quidditch Gryffindor-Ravenclaw game of the season was looming.

Interest in this game was running extremely high throughout the school, for the match would decide the Championship, which was still wide open.

So far, the Hufflepuff team, which had finished all the games, had the best performance, with two wins and one loss in three games, ranking first.

They had beaten both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw this year, but ultimately lost to Slytherin, putting them in an awkward position.

It wasn’t a technical loss — it was a loss to the dirty tactics of their opponents.

Facing Slytherin’s tough style and mean means, Hufflepuff had always been helpless.

Lacking Malfoy and several other senior players, the Slytherin team had only managed one win this year — against Hufflepuff — and ended up at the bottom with one win and two losses.

Gryffindor and Ravenclaw both had one win and one loss. As long as either side won their final match, they still had a chance to win the Quidditch Cup.

The current situation was that the Gryffindor team was at a disadvantage because of the big loss in the last game.

If Gryffindor beat Ravenclaw by a margin of three hundred points, then they would win the Championship.

It would be difficult, no doubt, but Harry had never known his team to fly better.

If they won by less than three hundred points, they would come second to Hufflepuff.

if they lost by a hundred points they would be third behind Ravenclaw.

If they lost by more than a hundred, they would be in fourth place, losing to the undermanned Slytherin team.

In that case, Harry thought, nobody would ever, ever let him forget that it had been he who had captained Gryffindor to their first bottom-of-the-table defeat in two centuries. Even in the most difficult moments of the Gryffindor team, they had never ranked last.

The responsibility was heavy and the pressure was huge. As a result, he had to put his feelings aside and devote himself to Quidditch wholeheartedly.

The run-up to this crucial match had all the usual features: members of rival Houses attempting to intimidate opposing teams in the corridors; unpleasant chants about individual players being rehearsed loudly as they passed; the team members themselves either swaggering around enjoying all the attention or else dashing into bathrooms between classes to throw up.

Whenever Evan saw Harry now, he was always busy discussing various tactics with Ron.

Evan himself had been busy lately, not only combing through ancient magical texts, but also dealing with other concerns. Final exams were approaching, and for the fifth-year students, that meant the O.W.L. exams were about to begin. He had to help Elaine, Colin, Ginny, and a few others with their studies.

Hermione was willing to take charge of the theoretical part for them, and Evan took charge of practical skills.

Among them, both Elaine and Ginny also had Quidditch training, so their time was especially limited. The help from Evan and Hermione was therefore crucial, especially for Elaine. Her practical magic skills were fine, but her theoretical knowledge was abysmal, worse than even a first-year student.

To put it simply, she lacked basic common sense, so much that one couldn’t help wondering how vampires even managed to use magic.

If Evan and Hermione didn’t help her, her grades would be absolutely disastrous, and getting demoted a year wouldn’t even be surprising.

Out of a sense of responsibility to both Caresius and Elaine, Evan truly couldn’t abandon her.

In view of Elaine’s current grades, Evan hoped she could focus more on reviewing her lessons.

But things didn’t go as hoped. As the match approached, Gryffindor’s practices only grew more intense.

Somehow, the game had become inextricably linked in Harry’s mind with success or failure in his plans for Ginny. He could not help feeling that if they won by more than three hundred points, the scenes of euphoria and a nice loud after-match party might be just as good as a hearty swig of Felix Felicis.

When Evan learned of this plan from Harry, he had no way of stopping him. After all, this matter concerned Harry’s lifelong happiness.

In the end, Evan had no choice but to use the Time-Turner and Ravenclaw’s Diadem to help Elaine study, giving her more time and improving her efficiency. It was, without a doubt, the most luxurious study setup in history, and unsurprisingly, the results were astonishingly effective.

With the help of these two magic items, Elaine’s grades finally reached the level required to pass the Ordinary Wizarding Level exams.

This probably wasn’t cheating, after all, Elaine really learned the material, though it was admittedly a bit of a shortcut…

In short, as usual, the attention of the entire Hogwarts was focused on the upcoming Quidditch match.

Harry, on the other hand, had not forgotten his other ambition: finding out what Malfoy was up to in the Room of Requirement.

In his mind, this matter had become just as important — if not more so — than winning the match or getting together with Ginny.

Even though everyone was against it, Harry still insisted on using the Marauder’s Map to monitor Malfoy’s every move every day…

What could anyone even say about his obsession?

Telling him to give up, to stop spying on Malfoy? Forget it — that just wasn’t who Harry was.

Maybe… maybe he and Malfoy were the real love story.

Yeah, that had to be it!
