Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Slytherin had left behind so many things, seemingly disorganized and chaotic, but guiding step by step, making the development of the situation close to the evil god.

From this perspective, the tests left by the Four Founders of Hogwarts all had the shadow of the evil gods behind them.

Gryffindor allowed Evan to witness the existence of the evil gods and guided him to the swamp ruins, where he found magic left by ancient sorcerers to seal the statue of the evil god.

Ravenclaw helped Evan learn the origins of the evil gods and the Titans, making him understand why the arrival of the evil gods into the real world had to be stopped.

The things left by Slytherin seemed to be the most disorganized, and many things seemed to be doing more harm than good. Evan didn’t figure out what he truly intended. Undoubtedly, Slytherin was the most complicated and troublesome of the Four Founders. He was also the only wizard who decomposed an evil god and knew how to transform himself into one.

Based on Evan’s understanding of Slytherin, he was not a Dark wizard, but many of his ideas were even more dangerous than those of Dark wizards.

If Voldemort continued down the path planned by the ancestor he most admired, he would surely suffer a great loss.

As for Hufflepuff, Evan didn’t know much about the test she left behind, but her identity as a Seer was enough to cause concern.

In the war between humans and evil gods, the ancient Seers were the guides who followed the will of the Titans and were the most mysterious beings.

Perhaps she would be the one to leave Evan a method to truly defeat the evil gods.

That was the current overall situation. Right now, the most important thing was to destroy all of Voldemort’s Horcruxes, and then defeat him in his attempt to become an evil god.

Without Voldemort’s help, it was difficult for the evil god in the endless Void to descend into the real world.

“Sir, do you think Slytherin foresaw that Voldemort would use the statue of the evil god to make a Horcrux?”

“I’m not certain, but Slytherin definitely knew that once Voldemort saw the magic he left behind, he wouldn’t be able to resist trying it. It seems he wanted Voldemort to do it. I can’t yet be sure of his intentions, but it is undoubtedly strange,” said Dumbledore. “As for the method of crossing space, it is related to the key to the secret treasure he left behind. Evan, do you remember the stone tablet you found in the underground ruins of the Acromantula’s lair? The one that marked the lair of Herpo the Foul.”

“Yes, I do, it’s a map of a certain area in ancient Greece,” Evan replied, he certainly remembered that stone tablet.

“As expected, the key to Slytherin’s hidden treasure and the answers to all the riddles are there.”

“But —”

“I believe you and Miss Granger compared that tablet to maps, but ultimately found nothing, correct?” said Dumbledore.

“That’s right, sir, we couldn’t find the place. Where is it?”

“Oh, I believe that ruin may not be in the real world at all, but rather in some kind of alternate space. That’s why you and Miss Granger couldn’t find it on any real-world map,” Dumbledore explained. “Those ancient beings you refer to as evil gods have many characteristics, such as mental attacks, building evil creations, absorbing positive emotions, and so on. You’ve witnessed these already. But beyond that, they also have the ability to traverse space. If Herpo the Foul really transformed himself into an evil god, he would have acquired that power, taking his stronghold into an external dimension, which is the structure you saw depicted on the stone tablet.

“From the information you’ve given me, it’s not difficult to piece together a likely story. About a thousand years ago, a young Salazar Slytherin ventured to ancient Greece. There, he discovered the lair of Herpo the Foul, defeated the evil god Herpo had become, and dissected him into three parts in order to study this type of being.”

“Slytherin was very powerful, but what does this have to do with traveling through space?”

“Don’t forget, Herpo’s lair was in an outer dimension. One must travel through space to reach it, just like using a Portkey. Except this time, the destination isn’t somewhere in the physical world, but a dimension created by the evil god that Herpo became,” said Dumbledore. “No, not the Void exactly — this is a separate space Herpo crafted himself after his transformation. If we want to enter that place, we need to find a certain item. Just one more.”

“One more item?” Evan immediately thought of something. “Sir, are you talking about the Caduceus?”

Slytherin had left behind four items. Three of them were already known: the ring, the locket, and the wand.

The only one that had been missing so far was the caduceus, the powerful Twin Serpent Staff with strong magic.

Although Evan didn’t know how the staff could be used to cross into another space, it was the first thing that came to his mind.

In fact, he didn’t even know what the Caduceus was for, but he had been repeatedly warned to be careful of its power. This staff had power beyond imagination.

“According to the information Slytherin left behind, in order to reach the space where Herpo the Foul’s stronghold lies, one must gather all four of the items he left. Among them, the Twin Serpent Staff — wreathed by a great serpent — is the most crucial. It has a storied origin and contains extraordinary power,” said Dumbledore, “power strong enough to break through space.”

“So, once we find it, we can enter the inside of the evil god’s statue?”

Dumbledore nodded, and a wave of excited murmuring echoed through the walls around them.

Undeniably, the conversation between Evan and Dumbledore tonight was filled with astonishing revelations, many beyond anything they’d imagined before.

“Where is the Twin Serpent Staff, sir? You haven’t been at Hogwarts much lately. Have you been searching for it?”

“Oh, yes, I have been looking for it for a long time. According to the information left by Salazar Slytherin, the situation turned out to be a bit more complicated than I initially expected. It took considerable effort, but I’m very close to succeeding,” said Dumbledore. “As for the location of the staff, it is in Azkaban Prison.”

“Azkaban?!” That was truly a shocking answer.

“Yes, together with the last part of the evil god’s brain, hidden on that island by Slytherin himself,” said Dumbledore. “I believe that’s the primary reason why Azkaban became the gathering place for Dementors. Those creatures were influenced by the evil god’s brain. Strictly speaking, they’re a type of construct created by the evil god.”

Dementors were a creation of the evil god, so they were different from other magical creatures in the Wizarding world.

They were not truly alive; and they fed on happiness and hope. Unlike any organic life form, their existence itself was closer to a shadow-like state of nothingness, more like entities born from nightmare and illusion.

Evan had suspected before that they were creations of an evil god, and now that suspicion had been confirmed.

He never would have thought that the final part of the evil god… was hidden in Azkaban.
