The Young Master in the Shadows

Chapter 530: Wedding Complete!

“So you guys found Anastasia! And she even slept with Yulian… Fate really works in strange ways!” ” Lily exclaimed in shock.

“Explain…” Victor, the part that sat in soul form in Lily’s necklace, asked.

“Anastasia Von Trie is also from my timeline. She was one of my masters, the spirit empress’s 16 legacy disciples,” Lily began to explain. “Back then, Yulian, who was a bit more competent than the current him, had a thing for her, pursuing her all day long, but she was kinda a man-hater, so … Well, poor Yulian got his ass handed to him!”

“You already told me that you were also a man-hater…Does it have anything to do with your master?” Victor asked.

“Not really, we were always special, this led to many men around us developing greedy thoughts! One thing led to another, so all 10 of us had a thing against males one way or another!

“10 of us? Weren’t you 16?”

“My master had 16 disciples, 10 of them were females,” Lily said. “Since Ana already appeared, it is clear that the others should be around, and they might encounter you due to our fate’s connection, so Iʼd better explain them to you!” Lily said after some thinking.

“Ok!”

“Listen up, first the ones you know… My class was Reaper, and I was my master’s main disciple who led the demon huntersʼ order!“ she explained.

“Reaper?” Victor interrupted.

“It is a one kill per hit kinda class… Acquiring it requires one to kill a lot of people before his awakening… I think it is the reason fate brought me to be raised as an assassin, but in the end, probably due to that fate lord’s curse, my fate was not strong enough. I didn’t get to kill a lot of people before my awakening and ended up unfulfilling its acquisition conditions!” She didn’t elaborate.

“Wow, that’s a shame!” Victor said.

“Kinda, but I am already content with my current Time Avatar class…” she smirked. Her current class is 100 times stronger than that one! “Let’s continue. The second is Zoe, like in this timeline, she was a Hero back then…. She was the head of the Gate Keepers order, the ones tasked with defending the naturally formed world gates against demons. The third is Mona, and she was also the same Sword Saintess. Their family back then was focused on swords… she also was a gatekeeper… In your timeline, both of them ended up with similar roles. I wonder if it was just fate or my master’s influence from behind the scenes…” she pondered, due to her lack of knowledge when she made the trip as the Timeless Crow, she missed many things.

“Oh…” Victor frowned.

“ The next is Kuura von Richter, or Kuu as she goes in this timeline. The class she got back then was Executioner! It is an S-ranked class that allows her to use people’s inner bonds against them!”

“This time she got a Monk… Like you, I think she might have been under that Fate lord’s curse…”

“I think so too… Back then, she was the head of the Guardians order, which was responsible for patrolling the world and taking care of traitors,” Lily said. “Next is a one you should know, as we met her at the cauldron, Harper wizeman…  She came from a Wizeman family, which was very big back then. She was also a Guardian. Her class is the same one as in this timeline, Esper!” Lily said.

“Oh… “ Victor nodded, wondering what happened to that chick; she should be at the Heavenly sect, right. Did she meet that Iliad guy? He needed to go find her once he got there after the tournament.

“Next is Valery von Geldstadt, her class is nothing special, just Battle merchant, but that girl was very good at business, and she even managed to scam my master once… “ Lily sighed. “That’s why the master ended up taking her as her disciple! She is a part of the Stronghold order that was responsible for managing the Empire’s finances.”

“I saw her at the wedding, her class is still ‘Battle merchantʼ, but other than her being level 111, she didn’t seem anything special!” Victor said.

“Well, if you could see her Coins, you would probably kidnap her to be your new Piggy bank!” she said, teasing him.

“Wow, I am shocked… Never thought that my sweet Lily would recommend some girl to me one day!” Victor raised one eyebrow. “That girl has something wrong with her?”

“No, I just hold a grudge against her…” she didn’t elaborate.

“And you are going to make me marry her for that?” Victor raised one eyebrow.

“Who said anything about marrying?” Lily spat angrily as she pinched his soul. “I just want you to scam her!!”

“... Ouch…. Damn it…  “ Victor shoved her hand away. “Well… I already lost my chance to aim for her, but I will see what I can do!” Victor said.

“Whatever…” Lily didn’t care a lot; she would get the money that bitch scammed from her in the other timeline one way or another. “The next one is Anastasia, although she was not that strong in combat, she was very troublesome as her Oracle class allowed her to see the future in battle, making landing a hit on her almost impossible!”

“It is still the same in this timeline…”

“I see… In that timeline, she was a part of the Listeners Order. I don’t know a lot about those guys, but they are mostly like Intelligence services in our timeline…” She sighed. “Then let’s move to the next one, whom you will meet very soon in the tournament… Solara von Astrom.” Lily said.

“The one from Nova’s family?” He did hear that name in his past life; that chick was very famous, making a big name for herself fighting against demons, especially in the Heavinyl sect war against Caspian. Still, he didn’t have any data about her. “She will be at the tournament?” Victor asked.

“I got some data about the expected participants from the strong families, and her name is at the head of the list… Her class in this life is a secret, but if my guess is right, it should be one of the two she got back then… Queen, or Light avatar. If it is the latter, it will be a bit troublesome, but if it were the former…” Lily hesitated. “She was my vice Captain in the Damon Hunters order, and let me tell you this, fighting her would not be only a lost case, but a total humiliation! ”

“What do you mean?” Victor asked.

“Queen grants her the power to make people obey her commands… Although it has many limitations, in battle, where a single misstep can be the line between life and death, it is very deadly!

“Oh, can’t one just plug his ears?” Victor asked.

“That would be worse, not hearing a queenʼs command would be grounds for punishment… Technically, it would cause all her attacks to land critical hits!”

“...Toubalsome…” he said. “I will think of a strategy to counter her…”

“I will look forward to that! But make sure not to undress yourself while fighting her…” Lily chuckled a bit as she remembered how that girl made the one stupid demon lord take off his armor when he was caught unprepared. “Next is the little one, Cassidy Von Eins… I don’t know if this one would appear since the Von Eins family had already been annihilated, but like with the Von Trie, one can never know…” Lily said. “Cassidy was the youngest amongst us, and also the weakest, but her class was amazing… It was a DIVINE Summoner!”

“It sounds like Lin’s ace summoner…”

“It is nothing like it… Divine summoner allows one to summon not only very strong beings but also demons. I am not sure about the details, as she didn’t get the chance to join any order before it all ended… But seeing the way Master used to dote on her, she must have had some supreme secret!” Lily sighed.

“I see…”

“Finally, the last one is called Diana von Zwei, whom I didn’t really get along with due to her gloomy personality… She belonged to the Assassinsʼ order and had the super strange class…”

“Ghost Avatar?” Victor asked, interrupting her in a little bewildered voice.

“Yes, it…. How did… Wait…. You met her, too?” Lily asked with a frown.

“Not only did I meet her, but I also helped her awaken her class, and she is now one of my agents!” Victor said as his brain went wild, quickly issuing a command to his real body to look at Diana’s fate thread connected to him. The answer came almost immediately. A golden thread!

“...” Lily could only open her pretty mouth wide in shock, hearing him. Damn it, despite the one with connections to them being her, why did all of her fellow disciples end up meeting Victor instead! It must have been all that Fate lord bastard’s fault for messing with her fate!

***

When Victor, the real one, returned to the wedding hall, his aunt Octavia was still away with Dannie, but all the guests seemed to have arrived, including the groom’s and the bride’s families.

Harvey was standing on the stage, arguing with a priest dressed in a tiger skin like some shaman. It was clear they were preparing to begin shortly, so Victor quickly took his seat.

“Did you give him that feather?” Lin whispered in his ear as he sat beside her.

“Yeah… Are you sure it will work?” Victor asked. That fake feather was vital to his plan!

“Don’t worry, I am an Ace summoner, and I know what I am doing!!” Lin replied proudly, making Victor nod.

“Cousin… Who was that guy you left with?” Zola, who sat opposite Victor, suddenly asked as he finished whispering with Lin.

“What? Interested in him?” Victor raised one eyebrow, looking at his cousin, making her blush a bit.

“No… I… I was just curious…” Zola blushed a bit. Yulian’s noble yet unreserved style was the type she liked.

“Oh…” Victor couldn’t help but smile a bit. Maybe in this lifetime, Yulian’s luck would be better than the other one. “His name is Yulian Crow, and he is going to be my brother-in-law very soon!”

“You are marrying his sister?” Zed asked with a bit of jealousy. Damn it! He wanted a Harem too!

“.... He is proposing to marry mine, Alice!” Victor clarified without denying Zed.

“Oh!” Zola said, for some reason, she couldn’t help but feel a tinge of regret in her heart.

“I heard he plans to follow my lead and create a harem, so if you are interested, I don’t mind introducing you…” Victor said, easily reading his cousin’s mind.

“No need!” Zola pouted and looked away just as Harvey cleared his throat.

“Ehm Ehm…”

The hall immediately grew silent.

“Ladies and gentlemen…. “ Harvey said, “We shall shortly start the wedding! This time we will follow another legacy, one that was chosen by both Gary and April… I hope you hold your silence and enjoy… let the wedding begin!” he said without talking too much.

The lights turned off immediately. Only the stage was kept lit with the priest shaman sitting on top of an altar in its center.

BOOM BOOM BOOM

Drums slowly started to beat as the groom and the bride walked upstage. This time dressed in primal wolf pelts.

This was another legend about the first two Titans or something… It seemed they were still insisting on doing a system wedding. Well, Victor didn’t care as he turned to the side to look at a specific girl. Vallery, who at some point also began inspecting him from head to toe.

Victor frowned and paid 10 order points. Damn it, he barely managed to get a few in that dungeon by making Crocky go on a rampage, who would have guessed that he would already be so broke! All because he had to use that stupid arbitration on Charlotte and Jim!

Oh… This girl has a thing for his sister! Victor could only smile toward her, then wink.

Valery frowned for a moment, then looked away in disgust. She had just finished inspecting Victor, and this guy was also a merchant, but he was a lousy one! How could such a loser dare to try to ask for her hand from her grandfather with his lousy potential!

Thankfully, nothing happened. Only noble people like Caspian were eligible to be her partners!

Victor, who could kinda read her mind, though his quick change in facial expressions sighed, shaking his head as he looked toward the stage where the bride and the groom stood at the center of the stage under the spotlight, listening to the shaman who was mumbling a story about some ancient spiritʼs blessing or something. This ritual was a retelling of a story about two Titans who supported each other through a hard ice age, then lived happily ever after!

As the shaman finished the story, he turned to the crowds to ask the familiar questions.

“Is there any soul here that has a reason why those two can not be married…”

Naturally, no one said anything. There was the sound of someone screaming outside the door that he was April’s childhood friend, and only he could marry her, but only those very high-ranking players could hear his voice, thanks to the good isolation. The von Geldstadt guards seemed to have quickly solved the problem afterwards, as the guy went silent after a loud screech.

Anyway, without anyone making trouble, the shaman continued the ceremony by ordering both Gary and April to make a small cut in their fingers, dropping a few droplets of blood into a bone goblet of wine.

They were made to both drink from it after that, and finishing with this, the shaman stuck a large gong behind him with a giant hammer and announced.

“GARY AND APRIL ARE NOW AN IMMORTAL COUPLE! THEY SHARE LIFE AND DEATH UNDER THE TITAN OATH!”

BING… TITAN MARRIAGE COMPLETED!

A ping that only the couple could hear sounded in their minds as they finished the wedding with a kiss under the cheering and clapping of the audience.

Victor, who was watching with interest, almost gasped as he saw something that no one else seemed to have noticed.

As the wedding was completed, both of Gary’s and April’s Strength, Intelligence, and Agility seemed to have merged. It was as if they began to share their status!

“Congrats, Gary… You too, April…” Victor told the two married couples who came down from the stage to greet the guests before heading toward their bridal chamber. “Who would have guessed that you two would marry one day!” he sighed as if he was totally surprised.

“...It was obvious…” Gary said as April shyly stood behind him, nodding toward Victor. People said a lot about him, but she was really thankful, as without him, her marriage to Gary wouldnʼt have happened!

“Well, I should not be holding you… Youʼd better get to business… ” Victor said, winking. “Knowing you love doges, I am expecting you to have a lot of cute children in no time.”

“...” April blushed as she looked away.

“You don’t need to worry about that…” Gary sighed. Yeah, he almost forgot that Victorʼs pervert persona was a must. But he didnʼt take it against him.

“If you fail to make her pregnant, I am just a call away! I will be more than glad to come to your help!” he whispered in a voice that everyone could hear.

“What….” Gary’s face almost went black, along with that of his fatherʼs, grandfatherʼs, and everyone elseʼs. What do you mean by Help?

“My wife has this herbal tea that is very effective… wait, why is everyone glaring at me like this?” Victor asked.

“.... Nothing, I will keep your words in mind!” Gary said as he forced a shallow smile. Damn it, it was clear to him that Victor was being ambiguous on purpose, but he couldn’t say anything to refute him!

***

“Then what about your Master’s 6 male disciples?” Victor, in Lilyʼs necklace, asked her after she finished describing what her ‘sisters’ looked like.

“Two of them are confirmed to have appeared, the first is Malcolm, who was my ‘former’ finance, and the second is someone you heard about in your past life, Arther Wolff,” Lily said.

“Oh…” Victor nodded, remembering that the Arther guy seemed to be connected to one of his agents. Windy, whom he scammed into the Ice Soul Sect. He wondered if he would see him soon. “And the others?”

“Valor, Gordan, Joe, Travis… I didn’t really get along with them, so I can’t tell you much other than that Valor was a sissy…” Lily sighed. Those men avoided her like the plague back then. She wondered why… Did it have something to do with her castrating a man in front of them? Who knows.

“...” Victor nodded, remembering those names for now. If he were to meet any of them, he would find a way to scam the shit out of them.

“By the way, where is your real body now?” Lily suddenly asked.

“Oh, I just got out of Gary’s wedding… After trying to have a talk with Valery, I was directly escorted out…” he sighed. That girl didnʼt want to have anything to do with him. “Well, I will get to meet her soon…”

“At the Heavenly sect?”

“Yes… If everything goes according to plan!” he nodded. It was going to be dangerous, but now he had all that was needed.

“I see… Then what now?” she asked.

“Alpha will take my place to go ask for Theta’s hand from her family as I leave toward… OUCH…. Take it fucking easy! We already discussed that! You were there when I promised Theta at our wedding!” he said as he winced in pain.

“I know… It is just a reflex!” Lily, who pinched his soul, pulled her hand and looked away.

“...Whatever…  As people think I am bothering the bloodFlint family internal affairs, I plan to go visit the Von Rosen Ancestral Lands with Lin to pick up Astran and grab a few of their treasures!” he explained as he rubbed his thigh. “Lin wants to find their ancestral family token so that her mother can inherit the Matriarch position… Now their family is fighting all over the leftovers you see…”

“I know… I don’t care about that,“ Lily nodded. The von Rosen in her timeline was a very minor family; the only reason they gained power in this timeline was due to the power vacuum left by the destruction and disappearance of many of the top ones. “I just got some info that might interest you…”

“What?” he asked.

“Tulip had just been assigned a mission by the family to go to the Von Rosen Grand dungeon and conquer it… “

“Oh… Your uncle’s idea?’

“Yeah…” Lily sighed. “Just be careful when meeting her, as other than her normal entourage, she will be taking a team of 10 players whom the family assigned her…”

“Don’t worry, since you told me, I will just see how juicy that turnip has become!” he said with a smirk. “Ouch…. STOP BITING!” he screamed in pain right after.
