The Young Master in the Shadows

Chapter 519: Cooking method

After confirming that the Chicks were really increasing their powers at a steady pace and arranging things for Mari, Victor left Elise to prepare for the trip, then took Margret, Theta, and Alpha and headed out.

Their target was the mountain base!

First of all, he headed to the dormitories where a few very muscular girls were doing pushups outside with Beta and Gamma guiding them.

“Mistress Theta!” They all bowed when they saw the newcomers.

“Have you settled in?” Theta asked them.

“Yes, mistress…” the leader of the girls said as she looked warily toward the purple-haired young man behind her mistress. Damn, he was hot! Was this mistress Theta’s man or Mistress Lily’s pet?

“Let me introduce you, this one is my young master Victor Won Weise… From now on, he is your master!” Theta said, turning to Victor.

“OH! We, great young master Victor…” The girls all bowed as they silently cursed at a fat young master called Liam. Back then, when that bastard bought them, he told them that he planned to give them to some very ugly man. Damn it… If this Victor was ugly, then that Liam would be an abomination!

“Nice to meet you girls…” Victor said with a charming smile as he inspected the girls. They were all players, but their classes were not that impressive. Just Soldier, Maid, tailor, and Warrior.

“...” the girls all swallowed at the same time as they saw his smile, almost passing out.

Victor quickly constrained his charm. “When that idiot Liam promised me a few girls, I inspected him to get me some ugly ducklings, who would have guessed I would get such fine swans!” he said.

“Young master…” all the girls blushed. They were all from poor families who were abused and then sold by their parents, and were not used to such compliments. And although they were not that beautiful, they were not bad at all!

“Sadly, I have no time to accompany you as I am in a hurry, but I am sure we will get there sometime later!” he said. “This one here is Margret, she is one of my wives… In the future, you obey her!”

“Yes, young master!” all the girls said with some disappointment.

“Good… Will meet you again to have a thorough conversation after my trip!” Victor said, turning and heading directly toward the secret base underground.

Going through the newly built corridors, first of all, he went to see Zolan! Although he doubted she would achieve any breakthrough soon, he had to show his face to her. He was kinda the CEO. And he needed to fix her up in case his trip took a while…

“Ah,” the woman who wore thick glasses and was sitting with her legs up on the table sat up abruptly when she noticed him walk in with Margret.

“Zolan, this is my husband Victor, your boss!” Margret was introduced immediately as Victor began to look around the lab, then turned toward her.

“Hi!” Victor said as he stepped forward. Although he never met her in his past life. This woman was a celebrity… More than a celebrity, as she was singlehandedly responsible for more than 90% of the technology after the reconing. Too bad she didn’t live long, as she disappeared one day and no one knew what happened to her!

She either dug up something that she shouldnʼt have or was abducted by some group to do science for them!

“Young master Victor… Nice to meet you at last!” Zolan said as she shook his hand.

“Nice to meet you too!” Victor replied. “How have you been adjusting to this place?” he asked.

“It’s not bad at all… I am very thankful for this chance, young master…” Zolan quickly said. The machines and equipment here were not only amazing, but they were at least 10 years ahead of everything on the market at the moment!

“Glad you liked it… Did you start researching what Marget told you about?”

“The sex dolls?”

Victor turned and shot Margret a glare before turning to face Zolan. “It can be used for that too… I meant the Mana-based computer!”

“Oh… Yeah, but…” she hesitated. “To tell the truth, things are not going great. This Mana thing is just not working as intended… It is very fickle… It is as if it doesn’t want to stay in this world, so outside the otherworldly metals that Lady Margret presented to me, it is not working!”

“You just need to use those then…”

“They are good for conducting, but to build a computer, I need a semiconductor material to make anything resembling a transistor!” she explained. “Right now, I am thinking of two solutions, but both are problematic!” she pondered.

“What?” Victor asked. He was not sure about all this stuff as it was outside of his areas of expertise, mainly Archaeology, Arrays, and Scamming people. He was good in bed, too!

He had knowledge about artifact making that he got from that demon, but it didnʼt contain anything about semiconductors!!

“First, I think I should take a real-world semiconductor to a dungeon, and try to fix it there and do experiments… The second method is to build one from the ground up, but this should also happen in another worldly Environment!” she said as her eyes twinkled. “Got the idea?”

“Yeah… You should have said this from the start!” he sighed, then patted her on the shoulder. She meant that she should become a player.

For Victor, this request was easy. In fact, he was saving this month’s usage of his Player Awakening skills for Zolan!

“Ahhhhhhh……” Zolan screamed as her eyes turned white for a second, then returned to normal.

Margret frowned, then opened her eyes wide as she understood what happened.

“This….” Zolan gasped as she looked at the screen in front of her.

“I expect good things… But if you betray me, I can take what I gave away just as easily!” Victor said as he turned to leave.

“Margret… Explain things to her with Theta…. I need to go discuss something private with Hana! I will meet you at the Mansion after I finish,” he said as he walked out, followed by Alpha, who gave Zolan a curious look before leaving.

“Is he going to do anything… Like…. to sister Hana?” Theta turned and asked Margret with a blush. She was no longer a naive little girl and knew what ‘Private’ meant.

“Nah, he is not that fast… Heʼs probably going to do some cooking…”Margret said casually before turning to Zolan. “So… What class did he give you?” she asked.

Zolan smirked. “Mana Blacksmith!” she said with a crazy smile as she eyed her status menu.

“Figures…” Margret sighed. No wonder Victor wanted her to give Zolan all those materials to play with. A class really followed what people did!

Leaving Margret and Theta with Zolan, Victor headed toward Hana’s laboratory with Alpha.

Hana was there, dressed in a hazmat suit, and was using a large saw to cut the carcass of a demonic beast that he had given her a few days ago. She looked like some crazy scientist.

“Victor!” she exclaimed as soon as she noticed him enter her lab. “Didn’t expect to see you so soon…. Oh, Louis is here too…” she noticed Alpha behind him as she stepped away from the dissection table and took off her mask.

“I will be leaving the mansion and might not return for a while, so I came to tell you a few things…” Victor said.

“What?”

“First, take care of yourself…. You are a girl!” Victor said.

“Ah… Sure… I just kinda get a bit engrossed in work!” she shrugged.

“Secondly, Alpha had already told me about what your family commanded you to do!” he said.

“EH! What…” Hana yelled in shock as she was taken aback, turning to look at Alpha angrily as if she were some traitor.

“...” Alpha shook her head. She had no choice but to tell him everything!

“And I will have to say, I will be more than glad to take you as my wife! It will be my honor!” Victor said, making her look at him again.

“Ah…. Wha…. I…. Ah….. EHHHHHHHHHHH!” Hana paused as his words sank in, some circuit in her mind was blowing up...

“I will also make sure to get you pregnant… But this will have to wait until I return, so no need to stress yourself about it!”

“Who said I….” she blushed heavily.

“Alpha did…”

“Damn it! I… but…” she glared at Alpha again.

“As I promised you, I never planned to force you, so if you don’t want me, even if your family goes against it, I will respect your decision!” Victor said, taking a step back. “I will await your answer when I return… Wife!”

“No… ah….”

Without waiting for her, he walked out.

“You are pure evil, do you know that!” Alpha said as soon as the door was closed. This bastard was purposely manipulating Hana’s feelings and expectations.

“Thanks for the compliment, but if I am really evil, you would have already begun to call me husband since the moment we met a few months ago!” Victor said. “It is just that Hana is the kind who requires flash dropping in hot oil when cooking!”

“...Using cooking terms when talking about courting women, isn’t that enough evidence of your sick mentality?” Alpha spat back as they walked. “Treating women as food!”

Victor sighed. “My dear Louse, Men have two primal needs. Food and Women… Using Cooking Terms to describe how to approach them, is not a bad idea!” he said. “I am not meaning that women are food, I am just using the same verbs metaphorically to describe the courting techniques for the sake of better description! ”

“Then what about me? What kind of ‘cooking’ suits me?” she asked with annoyance.

“Don’t you already know?”

“... I can guess… You probably are trying to simmer me slowly, then when I am least defensive, you will ‘Hot Fry’ me…”

“Is that your secret little fantasy?” he asked, raising one eyebrow.

“Like hell it is!” She looked away.

“Then let me enlighten you… You are wrong!” he said.

“What? Really? Then what?”

“Miss Louise, you are a bad cook, so you don’t know, but in order to prepare food, you will have to find out its nature first… Hana is the kind with a hard shell yet soft insides, so some breaking of the shell and some slow simmering is required before cooking…” he explained. “Other girls might be different! Margret, for example, is mushy all over, so much so that it sticks on your hand when you touch her… Hot frying instantly on a contact is advisable, as slow simmering will make her float away and stick to others! “

“...” Alpha rolled her eyes. She hated to admit it, but his description was kinda true… “What about Lily, what about the Twins?”

“Lily was insta-cooked when I got her; she was so hot for a while that I had to spank her to cool her down a bit…” he said as he shook his head, remembering that time. “The twins are something else… They are like candies that donʼt need cooking and are all sweet, just waiting for someone to unwrap the plastic from around them and take a lick! I just had to grab them from some naughty kid’s hand!” he explained. That naughty kid was called Tom.

“Don’t you feel any shame confessing that?!” Alpha rolled her eyes.

“Of course not! It was for their own good!”

“What about me then?” she huffed.

“... I really shouldn’t say it, as it might ruin the dish!” he said.

“You…”

“Fine… I will tell you,” said after pondering for a moment. “You are not like them, but more like expensive Fine Wine… Something to be kept and appreciated! I knew it the moment I met you… The best method with you was to leave you to ferment bit by bit before forcefully opening your bottle when the time is right!” he said.

“Ah…. You bastard, like hell you will be able to…” She looked away angrily to hide her blush.

Victor smirked. Cooking in progress! She was no fine wine, but a frozen duck that was left to slowly melt, but almost got spoiled when he left her overnight…

Anyway, now, whenever someone popped open a bottle of wine in front of her, she would remember him!

Yup, she was right. He was pure evil!
